This is actually something I hope SWTOR changes, in a patch or two. The reason is that you can only add friends when they're online. It's aggravating I know :/. So you have to wait for your friends to log into their characters in order to friend them.

Well to be fair when WoW started they didn't have this system, it took them a while (years) to implement this system. I would like a finder system, it comes in handy, but it's not the biggest of my worries.

I agree with the poster above, it shouldn't be happening. I've seen lvl 20+ people come back to the starting planets to receive the buffs given by the datacrons.
