  1. If your gaming experience is being ruined by stunlock, it's probably because you suck. If you play smarter, you won't have five guys pounding on you constantly while you're locked up. Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. If you're melee, while it's problematic, you probably have enough survival skills to escape away or buy time to move before you get locked up and zerged. L2P smart and not being a mashing meathead.
  2. I am valor 90 sorcerer god. I never play ranked because I get squashed by Marauders. So I just make little piddly premades and pwn normal wzs. Make enough comms (not like I need any) and you also get credits from the warzones which is (relatively, considering how this game is *** and I ultimately don't care) important. So, yeah. I guess my post was just to brag, than to offer any insight. But yeah I'm sure I'm not alone as a l33t WH geared twinked out OG running normal WZs instead of dicking around trying to get ranked pops so my pug can get squashed by FOTM guildies.
  3. I just don't understand why people still take this game so seriously, enough to get angry about something like this. When ya gonna get the picture guys?
  4. 3/5/33 Get force crit bonus from corruption Mana reduction from lightning tree. Use shock to finish guys off, dots when you're on the run (affliction requires no facing), dots heal for 2%, instant whirlwind, creeping darkness. The best madness spec. It's stupid to get convection, for a six percent increase in crushing darkness, when most of our damage comes from force lightning.
  5. I use more alacrity (8.45% activation if I'm right) than most people merely because force lightning remains the bread and butter for Madness, dots, death wave, and utility aside. So no I don't think alacrity is poor for a madness sorc, though it's more important for a corruption sorc, fine. The faster you get through FL the faster you get to insta-cast crushing darkness and the faster you get mana back.
  6. I'm sure this has been mentioned but the inability to right-click on names in chat to invite is gone and definitely missed by all. Also friends list population is correlated to who's in your instance instead of who's actually online which is kind of silly.
  7. If you're gonna be healer get two pieces of the PVE set for the innervate set bonus. Also healers need expertise and power moderately less than DPSers. So you can trade some expertise and power for endurance, willpower, or even a little defense rating from a relic or too. But you definitely want the 2/6 PVE bonus to reduce innervate cooldown along with the PVP set bonus to reduce the cooldown on static barrier.
  8. Madness Sorcs don't use chain lightning. Only hybrids like you do. Anyways. Madness is still viable. But you gotta outgear most classes to beat them one-on-one, or just be godlike like me. 3/7/31. Basically, what you see is what you get. Instant mezz is nice for 1.4 since it's still 30 meters. Use shock to finish guys off on the move. Stack dots to heal yourself. Mana regen is good as force lightning returns 6 MP each tick with all force skills costing 9% less to cast. Gotta be nimble, gotta be smart, gotta be good, and you'll still be viable. Other classes have the luxury of being able to play stupid. Not Sorcs, particularly non-Corruption specs.
  9. A full corruption Sorcerer should use two pieces from the PVE set with WH mods/enhancements. Firstly expertise is less influential on healing as you know, so you can suffer a small drop in expertise (especially given it's diminishing returns in full WH). So take the extra willpower (better than power for healers) and endurance (for survivability) from the PVE set pieces, and get the 2/5 bonus to reduce innervate's casting time. I may even recommend a WH relic with defense on it, in addition to an augmented matrix cube. Lastly I think surge should be capped out for a healer-specced Sorc for the high percentage of crits an innervate yields after a resurgence. Whether full corruption or hybrid-with-heals Innvervate is basically your bread and butter. Sorc healers benefited most from 1.4 to be sure. I am finding them much more difficult to kill, particularly if there are two giving each other reach-arounds. Myself I'll still be madness because I like having fun. Addendum: Spec into your purge and use it. There's no reason to spend two points on reducing consumption and buffing the self-heal. Your bonus healing should be high enough to make the new self-heal jib good enough already. Purge is necessary in pvp and it's also a nice instant self-heal to boot.
  10. If your are corruption I would not stack power. Power affects healing less than it does damage. Frankly I would stack endurance or willpower over power as a corruption sorc, and I'd also make sure my surge is at cap for innervating after a resurgence.
  11. 3/7/31 is the best madness build. Use shock to finish opponents off or dps while running, also get the instant whirlwind. GL
  12. I run 3/7/31. Gives me more mana, less mana use, and I also get +20% bubble strength, which couples nicely with my 2/6 set bonus to spam bubbles easier. You might try using a +defense relic; it will increase your evasion and resistance by 3% alone. Also, your surge is far, far too high. I would transfer out surge for anything really, you are far above diminishing returns values on your surge. I like crit rating on madness sorcs to proc our dot heals. But your crit rating is already near DR too allegedly. So I'd transfer surge for power and power for endurance if survivability is your concern. Again two defense relics would be great also. They're cheap too.
  13. "Bads spread dots around on everyone"? Retard. Affliction (as most know) doesn't require you facing the target, so there's nothing better to do when you're finding a good position than to tab target and spread out the dots. Like on Huttball, first thing you do, recknlessness, dark infusion (get 2 healing medals out of combat), run up to mid, smash Death Field, then dot the 3 targets you death fielded, then choose the squishiest and start blasting him with force lightning. Affliction, though underpowered damage-wise, is still viable when you're on the run (as we often are). THANKS SCRUB
  14. Sometimes I use /stuck as a quicker means of suiciding if I am either out of force (depending on context) or stuck behind on something like Voidstar when the bridges are down.
