I use the same gear set for combat as I do for focus. All deft 28-29x and adept 28x-29x. Works great! 1v1ing as a combat sentinel against stealth dps is challenging since they can start the fight with you at almost ~60-70% by stunlock and crits. 1v1's arent always going to be the same. You need to find a buddy and practice different things that work for you. I would open up with the rotation at 2:48-3:18 in the video A good start would be to awe them as soon as you can, back up, force leap, and then follow that rotation. Something more important than your rotation are your defensive cooldowns and your obfuscate(accuracy reduction) You must pop REBUKE (25% dmg reduction upon being hit) like as soon as you leap and they attack you. Even maybe use an adrenal earlier rather than later to stop that opening burst dmg. Next use obfuscate on those shadows and assassin when you think they will maul. Pop saber ward after that when you need that big cooldown. Then guarded by the force with a medpac last. That wasnt a very detailed 1v1 guide or anything but something you can start practicing!

Riposte is off the global cooldown( instant hit ) I use that as soon as I am able. For Slash, if you have plenty of focus I use slash as a filler anytime overload saber, Merciless slash, and cauterize are off cooldown. Use masterstrike and executes whenever you see fit first tho.

maybe its just preference. If i have to cast or use plasma instant i hate to miss that opportunity to hit 3+ enemies. Cant tell you how many times ill cast a stick and then a plasma and have that guy that was targeted run away.

Definately good advice for specs. Might switch that up for sure. For that aoe rotation I guess it all depends. The reasoning I used plasma grenade first and sticky grenade second I thought it would "hide that burst earlier". Also landing that perfect plasma with the cast you need to do it first otherwise they all spread out by your 2nd global.

Good tip for sure. Might are definately better augs to use. I think I said I share gear with my sentinel but might still have better trade offs. I like having that extra 1 second snare for a bunch of reasons. I dont think id give that up. Peeling kiting more ravage dmg etc. For 4v4 now I would definately give up preparation. In regular warzones I enjoyed having it for switching to the off nodes or 1v1's out of combat.

Aye the gameplay were more there to exemplify the "idle" "priority" rotation. Of course there is no rotation in a warzone. People tend to take that word too far. But its a example of what I do when everything goes as planned. Just a start guide anyway yay! There is definitely a ton I left out. 3 mins clip for the win ha. You get the gist. All good. Dont mind you giving feedback especially someone playing the spec so extensively! Spec is tough to play. Would like to ask you a couple things im unsure of. How much does accuracy play into the spec? How often do you smash, because i didnt pick up decimate? I am usually having a tough time burning a target down in a big fight by myself carrying. I tend to go for those targets that are already weakened. NOW there are a few new relics. What would you suggest picking up for a vengeance player?

Thx for putting in the time and doing this. Awesome simulation and data you have there. One question/concern, does anyone actually know what the stats are like on those warzone target dummies? Expertise armor etc. You have a nice pattern/trend going for the simulator but then when you hit the dummies the trend isn't the same.

Some rated warzone videos from the summertime in my sig. The Operative vid has a good amount of cc caps and 1v1's.

3rd time lvling a guardian/jugg. Toss points in w/e you use. by lvl 20 my spec is like 4/4/2 then lvl up vengence all the way and respec to get impale in the 35 range. Shien form and sundering every 5 seconds you should be building alot of rage to dump on slashes. Immortal imo is too slow and I abuse my companions.

For live, I have an all power set and a crit set min maxxed. Two ways you can argue. Go power for high dmg on the near auto crit scream/executes. Or you go higher crit like 33-35% for better ravages. Depends how you play. If you like to ravage and know the internal cooldown go crit. Number wise, with high power I see 5-5.5k+ hits with execute. The crit set i see 4.5-5k. But those ravages are ridiculous with 33-35% crit. We rely so much on ravage and spiky damage I dont see why you wouldnt want crit. For expansion, I went all power because of the crit nerf. I crit like 13% of the time . Havent been on PTS for like a week though with changes.

Im a fan of stacking endurance. Go for the fortitude aug's.

I have been on the PTS trying out the Jugg tank pvp changes. On live I stack defense rating and shield with high endurance. No enhancements/mods in absorb. New 2.0 changes. -Defense rating is reduced by about half and has a DR at around 22% -No more flat defense rating relics instead we have a proc relic that gives us 450 defense for 6 seconds every 20s -We can shield tech attacks now -Everyones crit rating has been lowered to about 18-25% At the moment I think stat priority is the same. Since everyones crit is really low shield rating is better now? But do we still leave absorb at 20% just from the shield? What are everyone elses thoughts?

This ***** getting annoying. People who actually want to play rateds arent getting games because you guys quit right away. This happened to SB like 5 times and ~3 times to us last night. The queue system isn't the best but maybe you guys could get together when it isn't "primetime"? You'll probably learn more qing with the same core or 8 members instead of complete randoms...

Depends on the team you're up against and the team you're playing with. You need to be adaptive to the comp. If you're playing with an average team that lacks dps and killing power i'd play a 16/25 with 2 points in savergy and dps gear. If you have really good dps and they have really good dps you'd want full tank gear with 18/23 grabbing sonic barrier. Everyone has their own playstyle and preference though. Any really experienced rated players here play 31 vigil/vengence in tank stance? What do you think of it? What are the pro's and cons? When would you use it? What stats and gear do you run? Looking for input from a rated pov only, not someone playing reg's, please and thanks. p.s. I have a full min maxxed smash set and a full min maxxed tank set already
