  1. I haven't logged into the game in about 2 weeks, out of sheer boredom with it all. I hated the latest GCD animation changes, and without seeing these news ones, I can derive I hate the new changes based on comments alone. Put it back to the way it was at launch. I hate to say it, but the closer you can clone WoW on this particular subject matter, the better. Blizz may have gotten alot wrong over the years, but this is one spot they got right.
  2. The game provides 1 click access to add people to your friends list. If you haven't accrued a healthy list of people by the time you're 50, you shouldn't be playing an MMO, let alone running groups. Convenience is not always a good thing. Laziness trickles down, and so does being an anonymous D-bag.
  3. Please, with all of your heavenly wisdom, tell us how to merge servers while avoiding naming conflicts between players and guilds, then tell us how to merge the mail systems so the appropriate people get their mail after the merge. Thats the number one reason that merges aren't more popular. It's not that they can't be done, it's that they're incredibly difficult to do without effecting masses of people in a negative way.
  4. I tend not to read walls of text based on "top DPS" when there is no combat log in the game to prove these claims. Wasted thread.
  5. So, you have a video with tons of people running around killing everyone, and that somehow justifies that BH's need a nerf, even though we have no combat log to prove that they are in fact more powerful than equivalent abilities of other classes. Right.
  6. The only notable differences in weapons is the color. The hilt's all look the same. No reason to preview it.
  7. You mean those big letters up top that says "NEWS & UPDATES" ?? That one?
  8. Well, if you don't want a mailbox, be sure and set it up so your auction sales get forwarded to me, since having no mailbox + being offline would = wasted auctions
  9. Cops are corrupt, and Jedi kill people. Nothing is safe.
  10. Well, I'm done. I won't argue with someone that can't see how limiting the clients abilities prevents botting. Go learn how the TCP protocol works, then argue this with me. Until then, just trust in the fact that the Devs know what is going on, and they're working on cloning the ways that WoW hid ability delay (ping differences & anti cheat).
  11. Its not an animation issue, what you're seeing is an anti cheat measure. It's ping problems, and ToR not hiding the inherit delay produced by TCP/UDP protocols. You are pressing your heal button while the server thinks that you're still floating downward. Trust me, its a ping issue. It's not your fault. I'm not calling you out. Pings spike at a constant rate. Way faster than you can see in the game. Having a 60ms ping time when you send the command, and having a 120ms ping time when the answer to that command is coming back to you, that is the delay you are experiencing. The server doesn't trust the client to make the distinction of where you are, that is also an anti cheat measure, to prevent botting, therefore the server must tell the client it's ok to cast that heal. You are casting it before you've received the OK.
  12. It's client to server communication. Your ping is fluctuating as you're doing those actions, and you begin to cast that heal before the server recognizes that you've landed and are standing still. It's being worked on as an aspect of ability delay.
  13. The forum mods need to learn what "constructive" means. As it stands now, their version of "constructive" means things that agree with the OP. Anything other than that, and you get your post removed. It's almost like being in 1940's Germany. I've made lots of legitimate counter arguments on these forums, and they always get removed.
  14. Actually, it's naive. Ignorance is when you are wrong, and think you are right. I made an assessment of you based on your demeanor, never claiming to be correct. And I think the term you're looking for is "prerequisite knowledge", not "further knowledge". Tenses, and such.
  15. Your definition of game breaking is clearly different from anyone else. How exactly does this break the game? The quest is still able to be finished.
  16. Every speeder vendor has the speeders they sell sitting around them, with tooltips.
  17. Everything that is truly considered gamebreaking is answered and dealt with. Just because they don't respond to individual requests for changes to game play that they consider to be working doesn't mean they aren't answering.
  18. So, your definition of fixing this game would include catering to lazy people? In the real world, if space travel of this nature were to ever happen, the spaceports and orbital stations would be a reality. It's a necessity involved with the complexity of space travel. Its use in this game is to make you feel as if you're actually in a time where space traveling of this nature is possible. Please, people, stop trying to shave 30 seconds of gameplay out of your routines by asking for laziness inspired things. You are harming the overall direction of the game, which is immersion.
  19. The casual MMO'er will disagree with you. Your personal experience does not reflect that of others. Most of my server is people casually and gradually leveling and gearing up. Extrapolation of that will say that most servers are mostly full of people who are taking their time. A very small percentage of the playerbase is done gearing @ 50 already. You are in control of the speed in which things happen. Maybe if you didn't light-speed your way to 50, you'd still be playing instead of posting here subliminally asking for more content. Not everyone has 8 hours a day to play. Stop making foresight predictions based on your personal experience.
  20. I have my game client open for upwards of 12 hours on some days where I have extra free time, and I have never had any memory leak of any kind. The game uses roughly 2gb of ram the entire time it's loaded. No crashes, nothing.
  21. You can change between blood, frost, and unholy, yes. You can also do that in this game. It's called your spec. The talent tree that pops up, that's what you can change. However, you cannot change your advanced CLASS, because it's a CLASS, like DK, Pally, Warrior. What you perceive is, undeniably, your own perception. However, your perception is wrong in comparison to game design. Stop debating this. It WILL NOT HAPPEN.
  22. Why is this still being debated? BW said before launch that AC will never be able to be changed. End of story. They make the game, they ultimately decide the rules. Having 15 threads of the same topic does not change that. Choosing your class is something that happens at level 10 in this game, not at the character creation like other MMO's. Get used to it, or perish. Thats the bottom line.
  23. I'm like most of the supporters. I'm all for a brand new interface where we can manually set ourselves for any group content in the game, level appropriate, and have a nice GUI where we can list all the other people and see detailed comments, player typed and server derived, about that person and their LFD needs. The community thing... harder to explain. My current server (shall remain nameless) is a heavy pop server. There's 140 people on the fleet at 6pm EST, any day of the week. Any planet you go to has 20-80 people there. I personally have a 50 Jugg, 26 BH, and 16 Sniper on this server. I have grouped every group content there is, up to 50, and done 16m EV with my guild. In all of my playtime experience on this realm, I've met 2 trolls. Each one of them was publicly denounced in live chat by nearly everyone else in the zone. These people haven't been heard from since. Everyone left helps each other out, and we do it because that's how it should be. Whether we forgot their names, or they quit, or they deleted and started again elsewhere, we don't know. The point is, we stopped it. My realm is busting with people that enjoy the game. My realm even has a LACK of DPS players. There's tanks and healers abound! Everyone is happy, but not overly joyous and flamboyant. It's a delicate mix that fit's perfect for me. A cross realm LFG will make everyone who has an itch to be a D-bag actually become an Anonymous D-bag, with no repercussions. Everyone has this itch. It's called life. It's just a matter of how easily some people scratch it. For alot of you, it's a LFG button.
  24. Nightmare mode content can require a combat log for such group scrutinization, maybe even hardmode Ops, but anything below that is pretty faceroll as far as gear statistics are concerned. the problem is, the elitism caused by the need for such min/maxing at higher levels will trickle down to the lower levels, and the content releases will end up harder to compensate because of forum whiners. It's a slippery slope that I don't want to see this game go down. With that said, I would like a combat log.
