  1. This I HAVE to see. Does this mean that you were also solo'ing heroic 4+ at my lvl? Bc that i just flat out don't believe. Solo'ing 4 elites with a companion just doens't seem realistic to me, but hey maybe I just suck. In that cast PLEASE teach me lol.

Lol no not at your level. The lvl 50 daily commendation quests. You get them unlocked at level 50. I never did heroics leveling up just PVP and my main story mission. I hate questing :(

I love me some PVP though xD

  2. Just had a quick question, was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. Thank you in advance for your time :)

Ok for infiltration spec for ("PVE"), accuracy. How important is it to hit the cap? and if you don't need to be at 100% does anyone know what the sweet spot is if there is any?

I raid with 94% and hit just fine. I guess anything higher than 90%? lol You start with 90. I think PVP would be a little different.

  3. That's why you don't know pyro. The tanking spec is far superior leveling up and in the WZs pre-50. Not only is there zero downtime between pulls but you have more aoe and actually kill packs of mobs faster.

Oh I know. It's easier for leveling (that's why in my OP I said "it would help"), but my points were more directed to building skill and mastering a specific line that a player wants. I'm not against it at all and in fact it's better for soloing definitely. My thoughts were more direct to endgame and what he wants..well IF he wants to be a DPS.

He won't have as much experience as say someone like me or anyone else who's never been anything but infiltrator.

But yeah I mean if it works for people go for it, I just think if you want to be a DPS and be great at it should just stick with the line made for it so when you're 50 you don't have to relearn. If I were to spec kin/balance I'd have to read everything and have some sort of learning curve, but yeah that was my point. It can be done as a raw infiltrator to solo, it's harder yes, but it forces you to think outside the box of the character to be successful. I mean for heroic 2+ and 4+ daily quests I can solo complete them, just because I learned as leveling up how to manipulate multiple encounters. I can make a video showing the heroic quests to demonstrate that specific skill set. If anyone is curious on how to do it PM and I'll make a video, unless Power wants to and save me time lol. SCHOOL IS CONSUMING MY SOUL :(

  4. Thanks!

Well for the sake of lvl'ing it seems like going a more KINETIC/BALANCE spec makes more sense.

In my honest opinion I wouldn't recommend it for leveling. YEAH it would help, but I still think going infiltration would be better, especially end game. Here is why, and my thoughts on the matter.

1.) For starters you know your key spec meaning you will master it and be so familiar with it by the time you hit 50.

2.) Soloing our story mission can be tedious, but it's a blessing in disguise. It FORCES you (no pun intended lol) to be able to know how to control and take on multiple fights. VERY VERY useful skill in pvp. You can essentially be able to solo at least 2, maybe 3 guys, unless they're all ranged based. Which goes for PVE as well, but even so you'll learn how to control a mixture between range and melee.

3.) If damage is what you're after Infiltrator is for you.

I recommend this build as you are level 31.

    31 Build

50 build This the build I currently use.

Anyway those are my suggestions and experience. I NEVER spec'd anything else; from day one I've been an infiltrator. It works solo just have to know how to make it work. :)

  5. Willpower>Power>Crit>Surge.

    Sustain DPS > Burst DPS.

Think of it logically would you rather have the chance of doing 2k on average, or having the chance to proc 2k?

If you have 1694 will power, 310 Power, 28% Crit, 80% Surge

    VS.

    1460 Will power, 250 Power, 33% Crit, 85% Surge

Who is going to do more DPS?

These numbers are real and not made up by the way it's very possible as a shadow to achieve either build.

Also consider this. White damage and your damage spread on weapons is affected by BOTH will power and power.

  6. 1080p Option available

This is my very first pvp video that I made! Full champion set, no battle master. All fights are against lvl 50's. No lowbies were harmed during the making of this video

Just some cool clips of me soloing, teaming up with a guildy, and warzone matches. I plan on making a raid one as well. It was fun to make, and hope you all enjoy. :D

    PEACE OUT!

  7. These numbers mean nothing unless you know the armor : damage reduction ratio.

I'll use my own toon as an example.

I have 6600 armor which represents a 39.47 (call it 40) percent damage reduction.

6% of 40 is 2.4. That is to say 6% armor pen adds a flat 2.4% damage on 6600 armor.

Now my base health is 18k. To go from 100% to 0 health you need to do 18k damage.

2.4% of 18k is 360 dmg. That's how much damage the Armor Pen has added.

Base CS does approx 1.1k damage.

    6% of 1.1k is 66 dmg.

    360 dmg / 66 dmg = 5.45 ( call it 6)

So basically you would have to use CS 6 times to equal the damage from Armor Pen.

I like this result. Much better than people arguing over builds that don't include Upheaval for PVP.

Yup you're right. It is a lot better, and it scales better as where 6% of a CS is just 6% to one ability.

you can still combo upheveal with this, which is naaaasty.

Shout out to father earth haha. Dude we should combine guilds haha that would then be OP :-P . Nato playing too? If he is I wanna guess he a knight lol.

  8. Does 6% more damage on Clairvoyant Strike makes that big of a difference? To me it seemed so little and I decided not to put points in it.

I put 2 points in the armor pen instead. Did a lot of testing and number crunching it does more damage and effects all melee, and off the top my head project too..I'll have to find my notes to double check. It stacks with Find Weakness. You basically RIP through light armor like nothing, medium armor feels like light armor, and heavy armor isn't so heavy anymore :).

    Let's do a little math

    Light armor 3000 (0.06) = 2820

    Medium Armor 4200 (0.06) = 3948

    Heavy Armor 6200 (0.06) = 5828

Now take into account 50% armor pen from Find weakness, on top of debuffs from other classes that reduce armor.

It makes a generic flat 6% CS increase look like nothing. I'll post a PVP video later of my damage you'll see 5k executes and back stabs. At the time I made this video in full champion gear.

  9. You do more damage with the armor pen, and it's perfect for PVE also if you do raids. The applied force sounds nice and bolstered, but you gain a lot more across the board with armor pen. You'll just TEAR through light armor and medium armor players, and have a very decent shot against heavy armor. Stacks with Find Weakness too, that's how you get those nice 5k back stabs :D
  10. Use champion one if you want. Problem solved.

    It's not what I want.

The issue is that if you were naked with no gear and only had the light saber equip which one would do more damage? Problem is that you lose a lot of sustained DPS. It's not marginal it's a lot. IMO I think that makes an endgame weapon weak and should be looked into. Also consider this if you have 100% Crit which one is going to do more DPS. The one where you have 20 more damage, or lose 20. They did mention of itemization and able to change endgame mods soon..like armoring with set bonus. That would be an easy fix swapping of modifications if BW doesn't feel the need to look into the item(s). We can simple customize it the way we want. Again though gonna test it thoroughly.

  11. 2% crit > the power you lose. The Battlemaster armor has a lot of power on it.

Really? I didn't know the armor did I didn't calculate it I'll have to look into that. Seeing this is my first Battlemaster piece I kinda panic'd lol. I'm not sure about the 2% Crit being better than Sustained damage. That's a lot of sustained damage lost. Again I'll keep playing with it I just got it, and did about 3 WZ, I'll keep testing it out. It's just when I saw the drop in abilitlies and melee I freaked out.. It wasn't like a 3-5 point drop. 20 points. If you subtract that off everything including crits over time that's a ton of damage lost.

If the battlemaster armor set has higher power and what not then I can see it balancing it out, which would make sense.

    Thanks for the info guys

  12. Yeah I know but if you look at your melee damage, and tooltip your force abilities

they actually drop in damage. I lost 20 points off melee and force. Example champion weapon project top end 1300, with Battle master it's 1280.

    EDIT

Problem is they cut out Power completely and Power affects Melee, and Force. Losing 72 power is a big deal across the board. If they don't want to add the stat I think they should add an additional 50-60 willpower to the weapon.

Again to check just scroll over and read the tooltips of the melee and abilities, you lose damage with the Battle Master weapon. :(

I'll still run some more tests on it, hard to tell without a combat log, but just plain math logic it makes sense.

  13. So compared to the Champion Stalker weapon math wise it's weaker. You lose 72 power but gain 77 crit. I don't think that was a wise due to being an end tier PVP weapon that is weaker than it's previous. It boost no melee, or force. You gain minor expertise, and about 1-2% crit.

Look wise it looks endgame, but damage wise..it's a lot weaker. I think this weapon needs a boost, or regain it's power stat back, or significant boost to will power/force. Thoughts? Opinions?

  14. How on earth did this get passed on TEST. Didn't you guys have a delay for a seriously issued bug? Jeezes rice BW. What is going to happen to these exploded valor ranks and these guys milking battlemaster gear now? If it's too much to roll back then you need to give republic 100 valor rank as well, or automatically take all 50's to rank 60 if it's too complicated to reset. That way everyone is happy. This is disgusting.

I have a hard time believing this is the same company I love that created Mass Effect and Dragon Age...

    just wow....

  15. I am sitting on %30 Crit Chance and I am not Battlemaster. We want something that offers static damage increases, not an extra chance at it.

Upheavel: I found Upheaval just not pushing out the damage that I wanted, its %50 of Normal damage and ignores crit.

Few things. This spec I used a lot in PVE and it's probably the best DPS for PVE, but not so much in PVP IMO. I tested it out VS. Upheavel. Upheavel does more, but that can vary between players stats. It's not a bad build, but I don't think it's optimal for PVP.

As for Upheavel ignoring crits, it actully does crit. It's based off the initial hit. Your Project crits, upheavel will crit at 100%. It's like DoTs. Your initial hit crits, 100% of the ticks after will crit. Also IMO should focus on Willpower>Power>Crit>Surge. I use to have a high solo crit rate like you but I dropped it for more Willpower and Power, I still crit around the same rate, but my sustain static damage you mention how important it was INCREASED. Now think about this. If your Normal damage use to do 1000, and now with the DPS increase you do 1300, wouldn't your crit be higher when proc'd? :)

  16. I think it's fine..

The burst on it is nice, the only issue is the cloaking issue. They could simply just make it so that the damage is implied instantly..as the tool tip states. This one of a handful of "instant" abilities that are not instant. Our execute is not instant, you have to wait a good second before the animation is over to land the hit, backstab is broken in PVP, you can be behind your target and get "you're not facing your target" spam. There's a bunch of little things to be ironed out, which I believe they are working on.

It's tolerable at the moment. I've Never lost 1 on 1 against an assassin. So perhaps Project>Shock ?
