  1. Yesterday we started a match and the other side dropped below five people during the shuffle of populating the teams, thus ending the match and giving our fully populated team a defeat all before the match even finished its start countdown. I didn't care, made for a really quick part of my daily 2, but getting a defeat based on the other sides numbers before the game even starts sounds kinda wrong and probably open to exploit once things are ranked.
  2. I looked at the FAQ and couldn't figure out a straight answer on this.

I rolled a char on a low pop server, got legacy status and high level, but then abandoned him to reroll on a different server.

My new server I am starting a different legacy of RP chars for a family, but I am taking my time and haven't reached Act 1 on any of my various characters, so there is no legacy on the destination.

Question 1) If I transfer over my legacy status character from the origin server, will he bring over his legacy and therefore "break" my anticipated/planned legacy of RP chars on the destination? The name will be different.

Question 2) I can level up one of the characters to create the legacy on the destination server, but if the transferred character from the origin server is of higher level, will his legacy name over-ride my legacy, forcing me to get to max level on one of my new RP chars to prevent the name override?

[i'd be happy to just turn "legacy" transfer off including levels if I had the chance]

    There is this:

Legacy Not Unlocked: If you have not unlocked Legacy on a destination server, and a transferred character is eligible for a Legacy unlock (i.e., they have completed Chapter One of their class story on their origin server), you will be prompted to choose a Legacy name when you log into your new destination server. You will not be able to choose the same Legacy name that you had on your origin server if it is already taken on the destination server.

But it isn't clear to me if that means the legacy name can only be "reset" if already unlocked but not named, or if it means that you can choose your new legacy name (great!) even if you had already picked it on the origin server.

Thanks so much and sorry if this info is available and I missed it.

  3. Hey all.

I was looking forward to picking up the Reinforced Mullinine Chestguard as a quest item reward from the quest in the below link. However it appears that as of April 12 this was removed as a reward. Is it no longer available in game? Anyone know where something similar is located? I'd really like to find a comparable looking piece (orange modded). Thanks so much.

I found my answer: Reinforced Chanlon Chestguard. Thanks!

  5. What I would like to see Warriors get is to have our Force Charge refresh automatically when we defeat something. Wouldn't be OP in PvP, because you have to actually kill someone for it to proc, so it can't be used to circumvent kiting, but it does mean you can keep your rampage going once it starts. Helps immensely in PvE, where sometimes you finish off a pack of mobs really fast and then have to walk on over in order to continue, which breaks up the pacing of the battle and isn't fun.

Ya, that would actually be a great quality of life item. I suppose it might difficult balancing with linked packs of mobs where its non stop combat for more than a few mins, but maybe add it if you are out-of-combat as a qualifier too or something so you can continue to move from pack to pack outdoors. I hate walking to the next pack of mobs and waiting 5-10s for the charge to cooldown before engaging.

  6. For immortal, all I hope for is

    - smoother dps rotation that keeps up rage

    - a pull (maybe even just put a talent in above the no channeling choke adding range/pull to it)

    - a bit better baseline survivability

    - aoe threat (add to somethnig like smash or something)

  7. Thanks all.

Ya, my biggest worry was that our class quests (if different) would make us split up across different planets, etc., later in levels like the 30's or something and we wouldn't be doing the side quests the same.

I think spectator mode w/diff base classes is fine as we'll probably just both do all dark side choices anyhow, and we really just want to see the campaigns play out. I'm just worried at some point we wont be playing duo anymore if the class quests split us apart.

Sounds like Jugg/Sorc is the way to go...

  8. A friend of I are going to do empire side together duo and only play our chars together thru the whole game and play separate chars when the other isn't on, so they will always be synched in the same spot during 1-50. For classes, its either going to be:

    1) Sith Sorc

    2) Sith Jugg Tank

    or

    1) Sith Sorc

    2) Sith Sin Tank

My only concern is which would be the better tank to choose.

If I'm thinking how it works, if one of us takes warrior and the other inquisitor, we'll be able to effectively do two campaigns (with the other being spectator during class quest areas). That sounds cool as we haven't done either, but I'm worried about logistics in that we'll be running everywhere and I think but am not sure we'll be able to fully experience both campaigns (even if one is spectator), is that right? I'm also worried our class quests will make us split apart at some point on different planets, etc, and it wouldn't be practical - any concerns there?

Other thought was both Inquisitors (Sin Tank + Sorc) and we'd both be stuck doing the same class quests twice since they cannot be shared/done together, but lots less running around doing both campaigns since our class quests take us to the same spot every time.

So its really a judgment call on our end, but I'm wondering are there any other things to think about before we decide? Thanks....

  9. I had this problem on release when there was server stress. I picked a light server to avoid the queues. Now its sort of empty, so I abandoned my lvl 44 and basically rerolled on a heavy server. I'm much happier with the population and atmosphere, but it does indeed suck to have to do over. I liked my original char a lot so I'm essentially replaying him, although I have played now more alts and changed to darkside choices just to see some difference in the story. Anyhow, its a problem but I think the only choice if it bothers you is to reroll and suck it up...
  10. Hi quick animation question if anyone knows the answer....

I have played a JK and his eyes glow white on certain combat moves. Well known.

We also know that sith corruption on dark side alignment pales your face and I believe your eye color changes/red/orange/glow a bit.

Was wondering if a JK becomes dark side alignment and gains sith corruption, does the "combat white" eye glow still remain, or does it change in accordance with alignment?

    Tks.

  11. I just take the redundant and/or not so great stuff off my bar completely and focus on the best skills. I don't use Pommel or Opportune or Freezing. Never really miss them and my philosophy is if it doesn't work on a boss I don't generally need it. If I need to "CC" a normal I will usually just use master strike since it incapacitates + kills them generally. I don't use Slice and always have focus to spend, so that is off too. I rotate 1234 on Sundering, Slash, Riposte and Blade Storm, mostly, on priority basis. I also now really like Blade Storm for the damage absorb.

Level 38 right now and never had any of the troubles leveling up and it keeps getting better and better.

One of the keys I found is that with all my stuns (stasis, hilt strike, master strike, sweep, etc) and absorbs (riposte/blade storm barriers) I can usually walk away from a trash fight with practically no health lost.

I use Kira still and find that Doc is only good for soloing heroics.

Looking forward to the next few attacks coming up like Guardian Slash but I agree I don't know how that will fit in!

So my guardian is level 35 and I have a LOT of skills. None of them indicate that they are replaced by skills in the talent tree but I'm not seeing how I can even KEYBIND all my skills, much less find room for them in my rotation for tanking or DPS.

Are there any skills that are clearly intended to be replaced by a better version in your talent tree? What skills are you using to tank with? Here's how I see most of them...

    Slice - standard Focus build

    Slash - standard Focus dump

Sundering Strike - debuff, strong Focus build

Guardian Slash - debuff, strong threat attack

Hilt Strike - stun, strong threat attack

Cyclone Slash - AoE focus dump

Force Sweep - AoE, strong attack

Riposte - off GCD threat, defensive boost via talents

    Blade Storm - strong attack

Master Strike - channeled, high damage

Pommel Strike - damage against stunned enemies

Opportune Strike - damage against slowed enemies

As you can see, speccing JUST defense as a Guardian the number of skills you get is really out of hand. Do any of these overlap somehow? I'm thinking Pommel and Opportune are for PvP but did we really need two different versions of this skill? Could we not, via talents, have brought Force Sweep to be in line wit Cyclone Slash instead of having two skills? Here's how I'd prefer to see it work...

Sundering Strike replaces Slice entirely. No CD, builds 2 focus (via talents).

Guardian Slash is your primary, CD based threat builder.

Slash is your focus dump when everthing is on CD and you're overloaded on focus.

Hilt Strike is high threat or stun, as it is now.

Force Sweep retains loses SOME damage but its CD and cost is reduced (via talents). Give it a 6s CD and free to use.

Riposte is my favorite skill. Usable off CD, provides a defensive barrier when used encouraging you to use it often.

Everything else is retooled either for DPS or PvP.
