  1. Probably not. You should still only wear the appropriate armor class for your class.
  2. And you are exactly the type of people I was referencing in my post. Did you even read his whole statement? Did you not see that a reworking of Battlemaster gear is coming down the pipe? I swear some people read the topic title or the first sentence, their adhd kicks in, and they rage out.
  3. This community is...wow. Everyone is screaming that they want to basically want to bypass the first tier of PVP gear all-together. What sort of logic does that make? The PVP earnings are being streamlined in a way that allows for each tier to be purchased before reasonably moving on to the next. If gear is supposed to be just be spoon-fed then why have it at all.
  4. Because providing a clear stat advantage is imbalanced? The benefit for being a biochem is NOT stat advantage. The benefit is not having to go out and buy medpacks/stims anymore. You make it once and once only. How is that not a benefit?
  5. Why is it wasted? Battlemaster is still going to be the best gear for PVP, it just won't be the best by as big a margin.
  6. they are adding in critical orange sets to buff the crafting professions. Did you even read the entire post?
  7. Are you seriously complaining about imbalanced PVP in a thread where they state they are fixing PVP? Is there any winning with this community? Short of time-travel, how would you suggest they do anything different than how they are doing it?
  8. Fair enough but I like to think of it as the focus being shifted from who can provide what to how they provide it. Consider this, both Best Buy and Walmart sell (in most cases) the same electronics. What makes one more preferable to the other? Price? Convenience? Marketing Strategy? These are the factors that will separate the "boys from the men". That aside, there are still schematics that are only attainable through operations, so there will be some difference in product availability on that front.

  10. The hole in your logic is that armormech and synthweaving have to work with Prefixes on their gear. They have to RE greens and blues several times to get the possibility of a blue/purple only to then have the possibility of getting the correct prefix on that gear. This leads to those crewskills needing to potentially crit on an RE several times before getting the desired results. This issue does not exist for Biochem because their RE path is linear (green to blue to purple that is just the previous with better stats).
  11. lol what? Your tone is very confusing based on the underlined, but to answer your question, it seems like they are trying to improve the validity of crafting crew skills and press the unique appearances of varies orange gear sets in end game content to avoid. Basically it will boil down to buying tier pieces will not necessarily be for the piece itself but for the "mods" inside it.
  12. I don't understand why some people here are having problems understanding that Biochem NEEDED a nerf. It was affecting end game decision-making. The balance of the game was being crippled because of it. Now that Biochem is more in-line with other crew skills, they can be addressed and expanded upon. Balance comes first. Period. Also, stop expecting them to give explicit details on every single feature they hint at. They are not going to provide any more detail because these new implementations are still in the works. Wouldn't it be more upsetting for them to promise something that they could not fulfill later? When they are ready they will let us know. They have had no issue sharing updates with the community. Great post Bioware. You guys just keep doing what you are doing. I appreciate all the updates this game is receiving and realize that this is a process. No one should reasonably expect some mega patch that will "fix" everything all at once. Unforeseen balance issues happen, that's the way it goes. No one can predict every variable, much less when 2 million people get their hands on it. tl;dr Take your Ritalin and read my post. Haters gonna hate. Come at me bro.
  13. So, would you rather they not fix it at all? "It should have been fixed already" is unacceptable. They don't own a time machine and they can't just go back and change something. They keep us in the loop about updates and this is the kind of crap they get for it? Can Bioware even win at this point with people like you? At this point, I wish more of "you" would just unsubscribe. All you do is scream "that's not good enough" when you have no idea what it takes to patch a game like this. I mean really, what do you want them to do other than fix it when they will or magically change the past? I really wanna hear your response to this. 10/10 I raged tl;dr Nothing we can do now but move forward. Come at me, bro.
  14. It would seem that no one is also factoring in that we have a few talents that proc off shielding as well. To me, shield just seems to be the best stat for Vanguards.
