  1. In Team Fortress 2, they announced Jar-based Karate (Jarate) on an April 1st. It was a jar filled with urin. And after some time they really went with it and put it in the game. It is a viable weapon now! So keep reaching for the stars, maybe one day you will be able to do your window-cleaning all day
  2. Great stuff, many thanks! Just for clarification: I'm using ImDrive, is it enough if I create a batch file with the following in it and put it in Autostart (with adjustments for my directories of course)? Also, do I need to run it as an Admin?
  6. I know what you mean. However, I become a bit sentimental when I hear the bits and peaces they reused from KotOR. In general, the music is well done, but does not leave a lasting impression. Some battle music is very nice. And I really like the Balmorra Intro! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy_MMVb4T-U
  7. Maybe there is a delay for higher amounts of credits to hinder credit sellers. I'm just guessing, though.
  8. Alright, it works for me now. AF and any custom setting for AA are really bad for my performance (even resulting in input lag). But built-in AA and your tips makes the game look a bit better, thanks
  9. Hello, this sounds great! Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it works for me. I did everything as you described in the video, I also tweaked AA to 8x and AF to 16x (had put AA to 8x via the config before anyway). I didn't notice more shiny stuff until now, the Republic Fleet floor has only a barely visible reflection. Also, the grass seems to have a line in the not so far distance where it becomes less detailed, I guess that is what you can tweak with the LOD value? Or is it supposed to look like this when the setting is applied correctly? http://imageshack.us/f/689/swtorlod25.png/ Also, does the shadow quality setting play a role in this? I can't really set it to high, because blaster bolts, quest icons above NPC heads and instance doors won't be displayed then... You have to link it to the swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe, right?
  10. Well, Star Wars is a form of techy Fantasy. Or can anyone come up with a decent explanation why light sabers stop their beam at some point and blaster shots do not travel with the speed of light? I guess the Midi-chlorians are responsible. *puts on flame shield*
  11. Alright, thanks for the help! We are level 22 now, I put my first point into Sith Efficacy. Let's see how the first harder boss fight will be...
  12. In my opinion, the turn keys are not needed at all. So just bind strafe to the arrow keys and turn with the mouse while holding down the right mouse button (left button for you, I assume).
  13. Thanks for the answers! Right now, Torhead seems to be down (resulting in blank pages only), so I will look at your builds later on. Your builds don't seem to put much into the Lightning tree, but aren't the skills Electric Induction, Reserves and Lightning Barrier absolutely necessary for a healer? I found I ran out of force quite quickly before skilling those. Maybe they are not as important later on when I get the Free Force Points Combo , but I'm not there yet at all. Is Reserves + Sith Efficacy really enough for longer boss fights, where I don't have time for Force Lightning?
  14. Hello all, we are four players that play their characters in the group only. So all questing/instancing and everything else where possible/sensible is done in a group. I am playing the healer of the group, a Sith Sorceress. Now, during normal questing there normally isn't much to heal obviously, we are steamrolling most of the time. So I wondered: Is there a way to have some more DPS while also being a viable healer during flashpoints, heroics and the like? I was thinking about having Chain Lightning by level 28 via this build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GhZfobMz.1 Afterwards, I would put the rest of my skill points into the Corruption tree to get something like this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GhbRrdMdGZfobMz.1 I don't know how much we will participate in the endgame, but respecing at that point should be no problem. So, your opinions please! Will I have major problems healing because the Corruption tree gets its points later on only? Is Chain Lightning even worth it?
