Like the above poster said you are going to have a hard time managing heat till 25-30. At that time railshot procs every 6 seconds or so which also vents heat.

Yes pyro is good for pvp and does ok for normal and HM flashpoints but dont expect to do a bunch of endgame ops as they are not wanted. On a side note, everyone thinks PTs are overpowered in pvp because of high burst damage but we are still one of the worst classes for objectives because of lack of utility.

We are talking about PVP first of all. And armor is not a huge factor because it doesnt mitigate internal tech damage. Also having to stop and cast is a death sentence in pvp. 10-49, people leave you alone for the most part, at lvl 50 most actually use interrupts and there is nothing a merc can do when focused on.

Just adding one more thing. Mercs cant burst like PTs can. Taking almost any class down to 50% health in 5 seconds is very valuable in pvp. Also we appy DOTs at the same time.

Of course we put up insane burst damage. We cant do anything else! Ever see a pt try and run ball. Not only that we Cant get out of a fight. What the hell do you expect from this class OP?

Actually you did yourself a huge favor. Its a pain as a fresh 50 in WZs in recruit gear. If you have even half WH you wont get smooshed nearly as bad.

Are you planning on doing pve or pvp? If pvp then vanguard. If pve then go commando. Commando heals are only inferior to sage/scoundral in pvp.

Well speaking from a merc perspective we do good dps but in pvp we are getting constantly shut down/ interrupted and since all our damage is tied to TM...... Also we dont have abilities to stay at range. You get the idea. Dumb players dont know to shut us down early, that changes at 50. Speaking from an arsenal spec btw. Firebug is better but has similar problems same with bodyguard. -
Its not that AP is bad. They have great utility and can really help the team. People just have this idea that high dps = win thats why everyone rolls pyro.

I have toons on POt5 and Bastion. Its alot better early in the day for imps. Till the good pubs get on lol.
