(and their asian sage healer was much hotter than any of the female players on the bastion) - mawstars is the greatest guild in the history of the game with the greatest players to ever roll toons in swtor history. edit: except for gudarzz
  2. No, its not. Capable players are able to do the things I listed with little rated experience. Incapable players are unable to do the things I listed regardless of how many rated games they play. They dont understand the mechanics of the game or their class (or the other classes. or how classes work against and with each other, etc.). Spending hours everyday playing a game, you eventually develop a sense in your head of the physics and mechanics. It is that way with all games. Some people act and see what happens. These people are unable to compete at high levels in whatever said game is. You need to be able to act, know what is going to happen, and already be "acting" again. Anyone unable to make a hard switch and be prepared for continuous hard switches with their cds, positioning, mental awareness, and just simple knowledge of the game and its mechanics, will not be able to win in rateds (at least not on this server). Its just a matter of being a good player. Youre a good player (or at least good enough to get the job done as a ranged dps on a competent rated team, despite my dislike and opinions of the class you play) but unlike regs, a few good players cant carry a few bad players in rateds. If everyone in crits was at your skill level though, you would have a competent team that could begin to learn and give the top teams a run for their money. But you need individual skilled players to start a skilled team. Not casuals looking to be carried or just randomly casting abilities (as that is the only way they know how to play the game).. I think about half the pain train team are pretty good players too. But they wont win any games on this server because of the other half. Regardless of how many or how much they queue for rateds. Sabotage might have a good player or two, but they might as well be into the darkness with the 8 they queue with. And the 8 they queue with will never win at a high level regardless of how well they learn to work together (unless they learn as individuals how to be a dominating player). Into the darkness gets farmed by everyone because they run with mostly bad players on the team. Just queueing for regs or putting in the time and work to become a good player would be more helpful to that team than queueing for rateds. They are not ready to work on teamwork as they arent good enough individual players yet (and most of them are probably either incapable/untalented or unwilling to become a good enough individual player to ever be good enough for a competent rated team) Day 1 All Star teams are much much better than teams filled with mediocre players whove been playing together for years. To have a good team, you need good individual players. All of them. Their is no room for mediocre. It is why SB/mvp kickball teams are as good (if not better at times) than full mvp or full sb teams. Team chemistry is not as important as just having 8 good players who can act and react to the situations in the game. Teams with players that are worse than the players on the other team are going to lose. Almost every game if not all of them. Regardless of how much they play together. Queueing for rateds with a team that has bad players on it (or even just decent players) doesnt improve the chance of winning in the future as much as people think it does. If the original <Mawstars> team came back to the game they would beat any guild on the server (besides mvp, sb, dp, syn) in rated game one. Day one of having gear. First queue. Because they are/were simply more skilled players than all of the other guilds. (and 1 month in would beat ALL of the guilds on the server. as the rated learning curve does still exist and team chemistry is still a factor)

Also i posted a long time ago that 2 smash mara/2 lethal sniper was the best dps comp and it has been proven to be the truth as that comp dominated more convincingly than any other comp since 2.0 on the bastion and anyone who has any sense has seen that I was right. Mercs are a liability and a crutch. They offer nothing besides the net. Dont let high dps numbers on the scoreboard from mercs fool you. They are worthless and have no business in any high level rated teams comp. (same goes for lightning sorc) They hurt a teams heals (their own teams) and in turn lose games for that team. mara/mara/sniper/sniper fact I know more about this game in both theory and practice than anyone. fact If there was real money on the line and a team took a dps comp that wasnt mara/mara/sniper/sniper i would lmao as they lost their money to a mara/mara/sniper/sniper comp. I said it weeks ago and now people want to talk like they "discovered" the best comp. hahaha
  4. If every dps targeted one target the entire warzone, that target would still never die. If it were the case that the target would die, teams would coordinate to focus down target by target, by target until the other team was wiped. And in that case all that would matter is dps. But that is not the case. Classes have enough cds with short enough cds on them, combined with 2 healers pouring heals into them, that throughout an entire warzone, if you focused one target, that target would not die once. Rated warzones, between two competitive teams, is won by hard switches. Nothing else. Being able to coordinate and quickly switch to a target and burst that target down before heals and guard can save the target is how you kill players in rateds. When a player goes down due to this strategy it is one of, or both of the healers fault. They were too slow and not aware enough/not fast enough/not good enough to keep the only player taking any damage at that time, up. hey im mvp is the dominant pvp guild, not only on the bastion, but worldwide, due to the fact that their healers are much better than every other guilds healers in the world. Other "up n coming" guilds are not able to break through to become competitive because their healers heal like they are in a reg. mvp, sb, dp, and synergy all have healers who know who to heal a rated game, as it it not the same as a reg. that is one of the main reasons why these "reg star" guilds that dominate in regs get dominated in rateds. It is because they play the game as if it were a reg; trying to get a big number next to their name on the scoreboard at the end. All of the damage going on and being healed through and so on and so on is completely irrelevant until a hard switch happens (and it should be happening on every 3 stack shockwave and smash on cd/cull on cd. every one. they dont happen enough and im sick of it. it is the basis for rated wins and needs to be like clockwork. get your **** together). The healers who are able to adjust to these conditions are the ones who are able to carry their teams to victory in rateds. Having one great healer and one so so healer is completely worthless and two very good, fast, smart healers is the most important thing in building a team. Not being a retard dps and knowing how your class works goes without saying and those who dont fit that criteria are not even worth mentioning. You must call hard switches to compete with good teams. You must have someone calling these targets who is a very good, aware player who knows what the correct target to call at that time is, based on a number of things. You must have dps that are good, smart and fast and can switch instantly. Once you have a team that can do these things then it becomes a battle of healers. Any team that cant do those things has no business ever queueing for a rated until they learn to do those things. hey im mvp = best heals - world
  5. I feel like i showed up at a ufc event too early and im one of like 30 people sitting in the crowd watching two scrubs fight each other in the pre-pre-pre-pre-pre undercard event. You two short bus guilds should be L'ing2P instead of derping around outlaws den seeing which team decides what abilty to use next in hope of damaging someone. Get it together.
  6. Youre probably just a bad player in all honesty. A lot of the people who still play this game after all this time and all the bioware bs are hardcore pvpers who spend hours everyday pvping. While you are thinking about what ability to use they are one step ahead of you and you die becuase you were unable to use cooldowns at the right times and were not quick enough mentally or in motor skills. Gear is not a very big factor, regardless of what gear you are wearing, in wzs anymore. I used to double everyone elses dmg in warzones in full recruit gear on my fresh 50s. Gear has never been much of an issue. It has always just been an excuse for bad players to use on why they are getting owned. In short...l2p
  7. No one is going to pot5. At least no one that is relevant on this server. Pot5 is amateur hour. There are good players but the rated teams and their approach to the game in rateds is amateur and will/would stand no chance against the bastions best team/teams. There are good players in the CFL but no CFL team is gonna come to the NFL and beat an NFL team. This is the NFL. Were not going to transfer to the CFL.
  8. watchman isnt even viable right now and is much worse than nerfect pt pyro, along with just about every other dps class/spec in the game. id run with a vengeance jugg before i would a watchman sent right now. unplayable if looking for power level in specs and not "fun factor" (as many, many sent/maras prefer playing this spec in terms of enjoyment) combat is good if you want to tunnel a single healer or single target during an entire warzone and make their life difficult and is good in huttball for both offense and defense. like watchman though, there are multiple other classes/specs that do what it does as good if not better. focus is unarguably and undoubtedly the best pvp spec right now. and it is not even close...as in its at least twice as good as combat and xxx times as good as watchman. its the 2nd best (arguably the best) dps class/spec in the game right now only 2nd to lethality snipers. there are loads of focus/rage knights/warriors in warzones these days and over 90% of them are terrible players having no clue how the spec works and people still consider it op so...imagine all the clutter of QQ if even half of them had a clue what they were doing. the spec is even better than what all kids that cry about it think it is.
  9. Doesnt matter. There is nothing to do, nowhere to go, nothing to work towards. Say whatever you want about WoW but everything this game copied from wow are the only things making it good. They should have just made a complete carbon copy of wow because the things they havent included are the best parts of wow. Lets go do HM SnV and HM TFB...ok we arent retarded so we one shot everything. Now what should we do for the rest of the week? We could go PvP to "kill some time" but we already have BiS pvp gear from bolstered pve gear so...lets just sit on fleet and troll as their is no point in going anywhere else or nothing to aim for long term in this game...Or we could go play wow (which is the only good mmo) or wait for a company that isnt brain dead to make an mmo with progression to continuously advance your characters and give you something to do..........tough decisions... PvP in mmos are inferior in every way to other games based around multiplayer. PvE in mmos are inferior in every way to other games based around pve/story/mechanics/gameplay etc. The only thing that make an mmo worth the time and monthly sub money is that their isnt a game over screen and you can progress for hundreds of hours and always be working towards something that is worth having within the game world. This game has nothing anymore.
  10. There is no progression left in this game for anyone. My sub just ran out and I simply cant come up with a reason as to why I would possibly resub. Someone who has 16 hours a day to run farm a game should not be one shotting those who dont but...you NEED progression in an mmo. Its the entire point behind these types of games and without it, its gg game over. BiS PvE gear is just given away and obtainable by anyone in a very short period of time. BiS PvP gear is like tier 2 pve gear right now and easily obtained in one or two nights of playing. And thats it. Their is nothing else to go for in this game. Their is no other way to progress your toons. Youre just paying bioware $15 a month to play pvp, on 5 different maps, with the same group of people from the same server everyday. The game needs some kind of progression or something to work towards thats worth having. Right now it has nothing and their is no reason to be subbed.
  11. recklessness spike maul discharge shock ls maul (maul) assassinate kills everything anyways, the rotation you propose is giving away so much dmg on the off chance that you are able to get through 6 or 7 gcds on someone without them popping all their cds, getting peeled for, getting stunned, etc. its not worth it (imo). the rotation i listed will net more dmg against competent opponents and teams than saving the recklessness for a 2nd discharge after 7 gcds on someone. it also shortens the time in which force cloak, recklessness, overkill on anyone can be done. i cant see popping recklessness that late in the opener being optimal. just my opinion though.
  12. we do. i think you are a fantastic player and good people as well. most the people who play this game are scumbags but not you. and you play the game way better than all of them as well. if i could only pick a few people to play with you would be one of them, for multiple reasons. i agree....... waka would be thee or one of the best if the game was what it should/should have been...if that even makes any sense at all.
  13. pain train should merge with sabotage, start queueing up for rateds, lose 100 games in a row, learn something/how to play rateds, and give the server a 4th rated team that can compete. (as a side note; wtb an S key bind for onassis. watching him moon walk around the map is distracting)

  15. lol. neither one of them is number one. guda might be number 2 or 3 but vexo isnt number two right now. you people need to get your head out of your ***. even someone like game'of'pwns could claim best mara before vexo could. you think vexo is better than game? lol. game isnt the best either though. there are probably 5 maras on server that arent even in mvp or sb or not in the "clique" that are as good as almost all the maras in any of the rateds guilds, if not some of them even better. guda plays with more style than any other mara though. maybe hes number one but only by default, not level of play. there are people who have mara alts that play as good if not better. hes still one of the few good players though so...whatever. the more regs i play the more i realize how bad some people in mvp and sb and synergy are. most people are terrible but there are plenty of randoms i see that could take the place of (almost) anyone, in any of the rated guilds, and have the same results. yall are not that good, i promise you. (i should put "....besides gudarzz..." to end this post but hes leaving unless everyone ****s his *** in this thread anyways so ill pass on that troll this time) ...and waka was/is the best swtor player. for whatever its worth to be that.

  17. regstars. like sabotage and a couple other guilds. roll teams with their premades and think they are the awesomest at the star wars game..... crescendo, sabotage, the others, would all get flawlessed in a rated by any of the rated teams (even though they are all terribads too)
  18. nah, im the best. mercs are still trash. non healing ops are trash. mara and sniper best deft pt is best pt in the whole middle school. bodies does as he pleases in every wz and dictates how every game is played and its allowed by these other scrub teams because they are tunnel scrubs. still, mvp would be 2nd rate if they traded their healers with any other guilds healers. lol at mercs lol at dps ops lol at lightning sorcs 2 smash mara/2 lethality sniper/jugg tank/sin tank/op heal/sorc heal is bis and any other comp besides this is much worse. like i said in the threads quoted, the bolster bug was probably the reason behind deception sins OPness and it turns out that it was. now they arent even good enough for regs let alone rateds, and only have a place in duels/arena settings. all forms of electronic music is for homosexuals and "promiscuous" females all the high level players left this game long ago and are back to playing wow, lol, sc, etc. This game will never be competitive because the level of play by everyone besides about 20 people (worldwide) is atrocious. ...except for gudarzz.......
  19. conspirators cloak is near worthless. probably every keyboard turning clicker sins dream come true but for anyone with half a brain and/or an ounce of skill, gettting a maul off is rarely a problem. 23/1/17 tank stance/dps gear type specs are still good and viable (at least for regs). no more instant whirlwind + no more spike out of stealth are both hits and the spec is not as good as it was pre 2.0 but...its still good. its still is capable of 400-600k dmg/100k protection type of numbers on a regular basis/good utilty, peels, huttball offense and defense, node guard, etc.
  20. synergy and strictly getting rolled by mercs, lightning sorcs, and lethality ops? lol. mvp could show up with 7 target dummies + sharkyn and still beat these teams. pro server. pro competition. lololol. pray for a huttball or just concede to save some time from now on. yall look like chickens with their heads cut off out there. stay free
  21. every class gets globaled now so it not just sents. smash is still one of if not the best dps class/spec in the game. agree that combat/carnage feels very weak in the 2.0 pvp environment. annihilation has never been good. not even when everyone ran it and thought it was. the way that spec works, itd be a fine line between underpowered and overpowered and knowing bioware, a buff to annihilation would wind up being a disaster for every class in the game besides marauders. i dont know why so many people think smash is boring. all carnage and anni are, are force leaping in and running through a short easy rotation over and over. smash you have to manage two stacks, making the optimal decision every gcd based on stack size and cds, and find optimal locations/opponents to smash...all while dealing with priority targets, peels, objectives, etc. to me smash is much more entertaining and engaging to play than mashing through a 5 ability rotation over and over throughout a warzone, all while being infinitely stunned.
  22. everytime an operative or sin targets you, you shouldnt have to trinket out or blow all your defensive cds to survive. that is the case right now. bolster, ttk, 2.0, etc, etc, etc have almost completely removed the skill, which was already a low cap, from the pvp in this game. target someone, they die, get targeted, die. touch the huttball, die. go to the off node, kill the guard in 3 seconds, cap. the game was good. you could 1v2/1v3, you could outplay opponents, you could out think teams. you could carry bad pugs who would have certainly lost if it werent for you, etc. you cant do those things anymore (at least not at a high rate) because every keyboard turning, back peddling, clicker is a nuke waiting to go off every time he spam clickss one of his abilities. the game is now bad. at least the pvp is. need to completely abandon everything that 2.0 brought to pvp to save this game.
