  1. /Bump - More input please. Lets assume a player-run function in the game could work well. What would work if this idea would not (I think it does but I want to see what you think). THINK! Player RUN
  2. Agreed, gives us more value and incentive without balance issues.
  3. You would never let them place it anywhere. In Shadowbane, they only allowed it around zones so the content was still the content. I would limit it to just around the major cities to start and see how that would go. Yes players could ruin it, but if they did, people would band together and take them down, here enters server politics, you may hate it until it helps you out and then you love it.
  4. Are you serious, you want to troll like that? Don't compare my thoughts to communism. So what I am hearing is that all you want is a WoW-clone that does not try and implement any good ideas from any MMORPG games that are not WoW. This is why these games are doomed, you can't imagine something different working correctly. I believe we could have non-instanced housing in limited areas near major cities and it would add diversity. You could instance in the inside but make the plot permanent to all. Player-run cities would be amazing if you could get access to constructing gear that you could "only" get by holding the city for a certain time and it would take forever to make so you would need to hold it for awhile. How many people would fight over a Jedi/Sith Stronghold to get the Black or White Lightsaber color as an example.
  5. I personally don't care much of the opinion of people who grind that fast. They just want to be first and then complain that they are SOO 1337. You deserve not to have something to do at this point, you didnt enjoy the leveling I guess. For me the content is actually pretty good and the reason I am not rushing.
  6. Then why don't they just play a Co-op RPG. What is the point of a MMORPG if they dont want players to effect their game play. The only reason I play these games is so I can play with other players and be affected.
  7. You have a point. Okay then, you see where I am going. What could we do along these lines to get a player controlled element?
  8. You can have both. The point of housing is now having something to fight over and gather near. We could do it in a way that makes centers of people so the social aspect is there. Maybe make Dorms in player run cities that you could rent out and there is only so many available. What I am saying is we need some player controlled real estate with real gains for holding it so we have something to fight over all the time, not just dailies and WZs. I want more politics in the game to it matter more. Right now all I see is a endless grind coming up for no real reason. GIVE US A REASON, I am open to other ideas. I am just throwing this out there to stir something up and get some ideas.
  9. BINGO. I might PVP a little harder cause I know reinforcements are a few mins out. Deal with it. Now that space station thing could be shorten or atleast let us mount anywhere so I can move through it fast.
  10. First off, I am lvl 38. I am not rushing to grind up, I am learning the game and the content on the way. Second, I have had to deal with FPS drop and you learn to deal with it and you can use it to your advantage in certain cases. We should not shun ideas because it was not done well or performance issues, those are items that can be addresses with talented developers and with Bioware, I think we have that bunch. We need to talk about what will make this game better than anything out there. The last thing people want is another WOW in space with lightsabers, I want diversity and something to lose and gain. Like real life.
  11. Bad implementation does not guarantee Bad Idea. Keep the housing close to existing cities, like a suburb around it and make it limited so there is supply and demand in effect. I want a social game, so we need politics of some sort to pass the time. I keep hearing many stories of people fully geared and complaining there is nothing to do. Player run stuff, creates things to do.
  12. I have never played that either, its funny how all I read is people saying oh like SWG or LOTR, no no no. Done in a way that fits in the game. How is asking for new features, narrow-minded. You might want to read the definition of narrow-minded. You telling me no and it would be like another game is actually narrow-minded. I am looking for creative thought and criticism only.
  13. Then the game will fail. Instances serve a purpose but we need persistent features as well and this is what people would like. We need land to fight over.
  14. I am not talking about SWG, use your imagination. If anything, I would do it like UO and Shadowbane. I bet the people who are dismissing this idea, are the sames ones complaining there is nothing to do cause there all Tier 9 Supermaster gear and they just want to jump in to another game to grind up and complain a week later there is nothing to do. This GIVES US SOMETHING TO DO. You can't have it both ways, Bioware will not be able to give us enough content to keep us happy unless they make it so insanely hard that you will complain about that too. We need something dynamic that is controlled by players. I think we can agree to that.
  15. Give you a piece of land to defend. A place I could find you. Something real in a virtual game.
  16. This is the final frontier Bioware, this will put you light-years (pun intended) ahead of the competition. We need to be able to place housing (non-instanced) on the planets in certain areas so there is in effect a real estate market. Make them lockable too so can be robbed if you don't lock your doors. Also you can have friends get access to it. Another item, players should be able to capture and control cities and the get a cut of the commerce that goes into them. Make the either freehold (neutral) or aligned with one of the factions. You would want to fight for them because they would bring credits to the guild who controls them and raw materials from the surrounding area (this is so they different values based on the local environment). This would add enough that people would not be as stressed about new content because server politics would give us a way to create our own content. Then the devs should run live events that involve servers and extra sweet loot (incentive). This is a way to add diversity to the game and give BW breathing room to flesh out the game more. Thoughts?
  17. Try world PVP. Until we get a new batch of content, you need to find ways to entertain yourself and not complain on here (wasn't addressed at the author). The game is what you make of it. Dont compare it to Wow because they have years and years of exp and they imho ruined the game.
  18. Have you given thought to the fact it might either be bought as soon as its on the GTN or maybe players are not listing it and just using it themselves. On my server there are a number of items you barely ever see.
  19. Don't take anything away from any professions. What you want is plans to make gear that is better than PVP gear and on par with boss drops. I want to see that so all professions can make you good money if you put time into them. I hate this nerf/buff talk. You just piss off everyone after a while.
  20. Why is this so bad. You want things hard to get so it can be rare and you get rewarded for having them. Why does everyone want it so easy-mode, freakin carebears. Dont ruin another games because you cant be the best right away. If you want it, go get it. Yes, I am a Cybertech and I RE all kinds of stuff to try and get plans.
  21. Can you go confirm this? We need to list all the crew skills that are doing this, this impacts profitability on these skills and if this worked better, people would make more money and maybe we would have less complaints in this forum. I will do some research too and see what i can find. Please submit tickets on this as well so we know Bioware Devs are seeing this issue.
  22. Dear BW Devs, If you happen to read this, I have had a terrible time selling UWT fabrics on the GTN. I did some research and found out that that show up under "Crafting Materials" > "Diplomacy" It should be under "Crafting Materials" > "Underworld Trading" Please fix this so people can find them in a logical location and the UWT professionals can sell more fabrics on the GTN. Non-BW Devs - If you are a UWT, please submit a in-game ticket for "item/loot" issues. This should be a easy fix and will help (not buff) UWT so people can find all the materials in one "logical" place. Thanks for your time, Dalkore - Infinite Empire PVP Server
  23. Thank you Damion. From your tone, I believe you work at Bioware. If so, thank you for giving us something more official. Dalkore
