  1. Hi Everyone I'm curious what everyone is doing with their credits post level 50? I've amassed over 2 million credits just from running dailies and missions. There is no gear left for me to buy at the GTN as the good stuff now comes from HM and Raids. I've purchased a few level 3 speeders and am continually feeding my alt a few hundred thousand credits each week. It seems I am making more money than I can spend, which in real life would be truly awesome lol So i put the question forth... What are you spending credits on or are you just hoarding them now?
  2. Try finding a thin player with pull abilities and see if they can make it to the spot and pull you towards it. Worth a shot
  3. Just turned 39 at the beginning of the year. Single with a pug puppy. 1st MMO ever but am having the time of my life. I play far more than I should. I am an IT lab administrator for a company that 90% of you have something of on your PC's / Mac's
  4. Don't forget to go to ATI or NVidia's website and download the latest video drivers once you are up and running with Windows 7 in Bootcamp. The stock drivers that come with the bootcamp pack Apple has you download are old
  5. Never played WOW. This is my first MMO and am loving it. I also have nothing to compare it to but you know what... I don't care. The game is loads of fun and that's all that really matters to me
  6. The thing to remember here is Windows XP is really really old. There is only so much MS could do with it. Move to Windows 7 and you will get better performance. Depending on how much RAM you have , install 64 bit (4GB +) to be able to take advantage of it XP will only see 3GB of memory max and is not really optimized for multi core systems It would be the same as saying should we use Lion or stick with Panther
  7. I'm running the game in Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on bootcamp with an older spec Mac Pro and it is running like a champ. Your video card is way better than mine. I'd always recommend Windows 7 over Windows XP. Here is my stack: 2008 Mac Pro 8 Core Xeon E5462 @ 2.80 GHz NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (probably really old by today's standards but i dunno) 12 GB RAM
  8. I've been reverse engineering for a while now and have had very good success in getting better schematics. I usually craft 5 of the same item and I can usually get an advanced out of the group. I set the advanced aside and reverse engineer the normals one by one with the remaining 4 and usually I get a better enhanced schematic. Then I'll craft a few more of the same to get a few more advanced ones and then RE those 1 by 1 when i have 4 or 5 and I can usually get even better schematics. I'm doing this with my Jedi Guardian - Synthweaving at level 25. Getting the required materials hasn't been too hard so far. I'm pretty meticulous about scanning everything I can. Plus there is a crew skills vendor I found here and there that can sell you missing mats cheap
  9. This is for the OP. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything so well. I am new to MMO's and to be honest, have not played a video game in over 10 years. To say things were somewhat confusing to start would be a great understatement. With some friends help and many hours of reading, I'm starting to figure things out. Your post basically explained everything i didn't know yet (some abilities, what they did, when to use them etc) I feel like i can play my Jedi so much better now !
  10. I am 39 years old and have not played a video game in probably close to 10 years. I saw one of my friends play this and I was instantly drawn, having been a Star Wars fan my entire life. I've never played WoW or any other MMO for the record. So if you want a complete non gamers take to this Bioware if you are reading... The game is fantastic, you've done what no one else has been able to do in over 10 years, draw me into something that is so well written and enjoyable to play. Each time i log in, i have more fun that i did the time before. So i will be keeping my subscription indefinitely. I understand there are issues, but the thing is brand new, at least they are patching a lot to try and get things in.
  11. Hello everyone This is my first MMORPG . I'm having a great time but would like to meet some folks and group up every now and then. I've got a level 27 trooper named Fazooligus and a level 11 Jedi Knight named Lun'head If anyone is on Kaas City and is new (or doesn't mind playing with a noob) add me. I'd love to experience some flashpoints and heroics Cheers!
