  1. This game has one of the best pvp maps out of all mmos, and that is huttball. If only BW would pay more attention to the pvp side. Most game devs kind of give us a bone in the beginning and then focus 95% of the time on pve. PvP puts hair on your chest.
  2. Too be honest, we should report this as a bug, I refuse to think it's intended. Spam bioware with bug reports on how the cross server isnt working! )
  3. No, the game needs this... badly. Queue times are too long on non-peak hours. With enough pressure MAYBE we can finally get this thing...
  4. I can only speak for unranked as I refuse to queue ranked without my full gear. BWs matchmaking system, in all it's glory, paired 3 healers and 1 dps (my team), vs 1 healer and 3 dps. After pumping out a combined healing of around 4 million we lost, with the entire enemy team being full hp when our last guy died. Also, a good (or better geared) dps will force you to heal yourself effectively shutting you down, turning the game into a 7v7, as most pugs will not peel if their life depended on it (which it does), thereby leaving the other dps on their team free reign to kill/cap, whatever. I do agree that sorc has too many tools to defend, but in my opinion, it's not really a problem when the capture point is neutral, it becomes a problem when a single sorc can defend a point vs 2-3 people for a full minute (civil war and bunkers come to mind). A healer CAN be 1v1-ed given enough time, and you burn through their DCD. This is working as inteded, having a healer being soloed in a rotation makes the role useless. The only healer that is overpowered at the moment is the sage/sorc, and I can see 3 things that would fix healing in general: a) More mortal strike effects for 40-50% hp on one of the more played classes (snipers lol) b) A means to get rid of bubble (warrior shatter and priest mass dispel come to mind from wow) c) RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - merc and op tap out quite fast if not careful, where as sorc can spam spam spam for around 5 mins.
  5. I suggest you play a sniper then complain about them being op. A PT can do the same amount of damage with much better DCD, snipers don't have mobility and roll has large CD. Also, I suggest you check the previous season rankings and see exactly how OP snipers/gs are, as they are dead last with top sniper having 1800 rating and top sorc having 3007.

    Warzones LOL

Actually, yes. With brackets for every 10 or 20 levels queue times will be huge, the game's population is low.
  7. I'll add my 2 cents, I pvp in most of my mmo games, albeit not competitively in all. For example, in WoW, I absolutely hate arenas but I did get to around 2300 rating in ranked bgs a few seasons back, I am a casual, I dont' have the patience to grind and grind and grind and team synergy takes a while to form, and I mean between the individual players, not the classes. Now, unto my experiences here: I have not played Ranked in Swtor yet, I'm still min maxing, but I would like to say that sorc has so much utility it's not even funny. I remember this one game of Civil War, one sorc with all his cds up, kept 4 of us from capping the middle turret for a long long time. Storm, run around, begin capping, use an instant, run around, self heal, run around, begin capping, instant skills, go down in hp bubble, begin capping, instant....... Get low on hp, warlock teleport to the ledge, self heal, speed, instant and so on. I'm not talking about individual skills, I'm talking about all the utility available to class. Now, imagine a sniper doing that, or a mercenary... PT... stupid damage, HOLD THE LINE + ADRENALINE RUSH, gg team. This reminds me of the broken paladins and dks in wow at start of wotlk where everyone and their grandma playing them got glad, and one of the reasons I hated arena pvp so much. I have since then abandoned my sniper (shame, since I love the class) and leveled a sorc, and am having a blast as a healer, kiting half the team around in my ****** gear it's not even funny anymore. (I am using my sniper's 204 gear in legacy stuff), still farming comms. Now, since I'm new to the game (I did play it at launch at some point, but not PvP), something seemed off, and I just thought it's me being new to the game, and then i checked the official rankings for the previous season.... For your viewing pleasure: http://www.swtor.com/leaderboards Top Sorc: 3000 rating Top PT: 2850 rating Top Sniper: 1800 Top Mercenary: 1893 Everything else is in between, with PT and Sorc leading by a HUGE margin. BW, we want to be able to use the other classes, I want to be able to use my sniper. I can live with premades stomping us, at some point you'll be over unranked gearing phase and onto solo ranked queue, but class balance is so out of whack you're literally forced to go FOTM to have a decent chance at rating.
  8. Ugh, nasty! Guess it's time to start farming... Thanks again
  9. Has Bioware posted a list with the class/professions combination? Cheers for the answers
  10. Hi, Can I pick what crew skills my guy gets when I boost him? I already boosted one guy and I got armormech > scavenging > UT Is that default for all toons? Many thanks
  11. 7/10 Mine is called Skillslol, because of the high skill cap and my personal prowess as an avid PVP player.
  12. I currently have 3 pieces that give accuracy. 64 64 57 (including one non-pvp chest item I have from PvE) rating on each piece for a grand total of 2.72% extra hit chance. Now, I took a look at the remaining pieces available and legs give another 64 and one implant for another 64, totaling at 256 hit rating after I swap the chest for the pvp one which has no accuracy, doing a simple calcuation results in aprox 3.7% extra hit. Where to get the rest, should I be investing in the hit talents? They sort of seem like a waste... I have a feeling I'm over thinking this, but if you're gonna do something... why not min max? Thanks everyone for your answers!
