  1. Apparently I'm running 1803 even though the "search for update" says I'm up to date. I suspect it is lying. Working the problem now.
  2. I've got Windows 10. I've tried all of the work-arounds and fixes I could find and it still won't launch. After I press Play, the launcher disappears and in the Task Manager the game appears for a half a second, says [suspended] then vanishes without ever opening long enough to even make my screen flicker or go black or anything. It's as though I never pressed play at all. Any updates on the issue would be appreciated.
  3. In Knights of the Old Republic, attacks could be queued up three or four in advance, while the combat in this game is more or less real time. Are there any plans floating around to have two play-modes, one real-time as it is now, and one more akin to KOTOR? As a player with a satellite connection, lag time between me clicking a button and the ability actually happening can be anywhere from two seconds to ten seconds of lag between, the ability to queue attacks like in the original KOTOR would be immensely helpful, not to mention the nostalgia it would bring!
  4. I agree with the above, and I've been playing as many PVP matches as I can handle since I heard of the vehicle deletions coming in 1.2, but I'm only level 49, and with patch coming tomorrow.... *sigh* What a waste. As an avid collector. I'm very much depressed. This is the second time I've been soooo close to a mount only to have it ripped away by an 'improvement/content patch' in my MMO history.
  5. These are all very valid points on both sides of the discussion, however I still say we need something akin to force leap to close the distance. Addressing PVE, I have no problem sneaking in, mind mazing a target and de-stealthing behind another to start hacking and stabbing away, however when the group engages before I am in position, or when I am a little farther away trying to catch up, force speed gets a little annoying. On my connection at least, there are times when the network locks me in place on my monitor, but still tracks my intended movement en route to the server, so I may have run right to where I want to be on my end, but the server suddenly tracks me twenty meters or so away, and heaven help me if the mobs are near a ledge in that case. Likewise, if I am attacking one side of a spread out pull and we kill him and shift to the opposite side of the pull, the Knight and trooper in my group are already there beating him in the face and I'm throwing rocks or using speed to close the gap but by the time I get there, I've missed out on a good quarter of the mob's health. In PVP, and I noticed this alot last night on Ilum, Many of the Imperial players know how to kite incredibly well. There were a good half dozen different players in total, a third or a half of the entire imperial population there at the time, that I couldnt ever get close to, and sitting back and using my ranged attacks is sub-par at best. If there was something like a leap, a teleport, whatever you want to call it, to help zap us into optimum possition, things would run alot more smoothly in both PVP and PVE, especially after combat has started and the insta-stealth ability is on CD.
  6. Am I alone in thinking DPS shadows need something like force leap to quickly close the distance on a target? In flashpoints, my buddies all leap to the marked targets and start hacking or blasting away, but even throwing rocks and other 'ranged' abilities, my dps is only a third of what they're doing, and if I hit a lag-spike, I end up running far past the target and having to turn around, further screwing my dps output over for the group. I think shadows, infiltration namely, should have an ability where we leap perhaps not only to the intended target like knights and troopers (And our consular companion Nadia, for that matter) but maybe leap from the same distance to land behind the target, where our dps is optimum. Being a shadow thing, maybe it would require stealth to activate or something. I just feel jipped and cheated that a trooper, a non-force sensitive, can soar forty meters through the air and smack this dude in the face and I, a Jedi Master, cannot. >.< Tell me I'm not alone in my wishful thinking...
