You can solo 'Boarding Party' in about 12 minutes which, with boss loot and chests nets about 40-50k. This is a boring way to get quick cash but pays for even a naff attempt at a raid if you end up dying alot...

When will people realise that it has NOTHING to do with the game or Bioware (unless maybe your Australian who suffer from high ping). It has everything to do with your computer and/or ISP provider. Try turning down you graphic settings. We know there was an issue with Ilum PVP when this was popular as large 50 vs 50 battles would task even a supercomputer, but basic WZ have zero lag for the most parts..

13k as a lev. 50 power tech? Something wrong there. You have a few choices. For starters your ratio for AIM to END is off pace. AIM is a primary stat but at shield-tech you need to be looking for END as the bigger number - normally they have AIM slightly less and then either shield or defence chance. Im a lev 50 power-tech (shield) and my END is over 2000 to about 1500 AIM (give or take). You also need to stack that shield proc/absorb line as its way too low. You have to accept that your DPS will fall off. That brings me to my second bit of advice. It looks like you are trying to spec you toon to range tank and not to go close quarters - I say this as you have not taken the damage boost for rocket punch but you have for rail shot. Your biggest damage comes from close range - rocket punch, flamethrower etc. You can range tank but should only do that to kite something - dont try and do your dps from a distance. You have some weird skills also, im guessing that is because you PVP, but if not - Im not sure why you have them. Jet Speed? not needed as you shouldnt be running around in PVE Rail Loaders? Waste of time as it doesnt register on your DPS to be honest. No Escape? Pointless in anything but PVP and even then its naff. No 'Iron Fist' and no 'Flame Shield' - these are PRIMARY dps skills - you need them. Easiest way to get gear is run HCs and PVP - a full set of Supercommando PVP gear will give you about 18k, allowing you to then run raids to get the Columi gear, which gives you about 22k. If you want to look at the type of gear you should be getting, have a look at the raid gear vendor and pick gear with similar stats. Ive attached my spec (if it loads up) as it should help. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GoGrdorogzZMcbZb.1 I've tanked every raid in the game with this spec, no issues and it makes you all but indestructable when you have your shield proc (north of 40% is good) and shield absorb (again, 40-50% is good) raised up with gear. As I said, your DPS will fall off in the short term and you NEED better gear buddy - regardless of spec, but eventually you will be a God amongst men when it comes to damage absorbing... ...ps. A mate of mine dinged 50 yesterday, he did the daily and weekly Ilum quest and out of his 4 PVP reward bags he got 3 bits of Champion armour... Which, outside of raids or 65 valour PVP, is as good as you can get.

You have 3 choices.. CRAFT. Take up the craft proff' that suits your armour and reverse engineer the crap out of it until you get all purples. Will be a start but to be honest wont be much good in the really high end game stuff. PVP. Just doing the dailys and crossing your fingers for a piece of Champion gear can have you fully gears in a matter of weeks. This is by far the easiest. LOW LEVEL HC FP's. Stalk these until your lucky enough to get some good gear then move up to the next easiest. Unless your lucky enough to get a in group of well geared people don't bother trying to do the more difficult ones - it will only cost you the repair bill. That's it, take your choice... Believe me the best way to start is the PVP stuff, its not that difficult to do and with a half a dozen bits of good Champion PVP stuff you can progress to the better FP's..

This is a 2012 AAA title, stop trying to run them on calculators. The game isn't even that demanding, infact they REMOVED high-res textures and renamed medium as high-res in order that more people can play it. Thanks for that...

Oh, shut up already.. Every MMO has maintenance, get over it. For those that keep banging on about this and the daylight EU server maintenance times, most of us WORK or are in some for of EDUCATION during the day - so those times are fine for the masses.. For the most part it's only for the lazy gimps who don't work/study that have a problem with these times.. (I appreciate some people work nights and such but Bioware have to cater for the majority I'm afraid) Sick and tired or seeing whining and complaining threads about server downtime or the problem with the game etc. Either shut the hell up or move to another game will you...

The game is designed to play on older machine but you have to scale the visuals. I can promise you that the lag or FPS is not the issue of the game, I've not got less than 80FPS in any area on full detail - yes my rig can handle it but my point is you need to scale your graphics to your machine capability - have a play when servers are back up starting with the shadow options..

Right now only through a macro based keyboard like the logitech G-series.
