  1. The biggest difference between the arbiters and the tunings is the way they were promoted. Arbiters were promoted as rare cartel items, the tunings were promoted as a new way to customzie your characters. If they were going to have an abysmally low drop rate, they should have promoted them as rare items instead of this cool new feature for people.
  2. This is the first time I've bought cartel packs in over a year. I usually just wait until the market on new items settles down on the GTN and pick up what I want. This time I thought I'd try to get ahead of the curve and try to get it in packs. Learned the hard way to never trust BW to do something reasonable.
  3. Exactly. If they hadn't promoted like they did, I wouldn't have cared if it had a low drop rate like this. But to promote it the way they did, it's kind of bullshït.
  4. I've been playing this game since Launch, I know how ****** they operate. But the weapon tunings are on a whole new level. Promoting it here on the website with a developer blog and they had a Q&A post while promoting it on social media? Sorry, but that's a whole new low. Something cosmetic like this shouldn't end up selling for 30 mil+ on the gtn because of a terrible drop rate in the packs.
  5. Once again, the only cool thing in the new packs have an abysmal drop rate. Several guildies have bought hypercrates and didn't get a single one and one guy on fleet opened up 5 hypercrates and only got 1. Bioware, if you're going to promote things like these weapons tunings, you have to actually make it so they're available to players, not people with 30+mil sitting to burn on cosmetic stuff. Please fix this.
  6. Thank you for taking the time to write this. It's really appreciated. On the other hand, it would be nice to get at least some kind of mention of what you guys are working on. It doesn't need to be specific, or spoilery. Just....something. We know that there's going to be more story coming out next year. But are you guys working on group content? Flashpoints, Operations, pvp maps? We don't need to know how these things would fit into KotFE. But just some kind of hint or nod that you guys are, in fact, working on some kind of group content or a brand new mode of game play (like you did for GSF or Eternal Championship, for example) would help. Just a simple, "We're in the early stages of production for new group content for people who enjoy grouping together" or, "We're currently in pre production for new game play modes" would be a lot better than "We're working on new stuff, but can't say anything yet". It would help people who are still on the fence about staying, stay. And might incentivize those who left because of a lack of new group content to come back.
  7. Two of the class missions aren't awarding the right amount of experience when you complete them. It looks like they're still stuck at levels 17 and 18 instead of adjusting to match the characters level, resulting in both missions only awarding 7 exp each: [Chaos At the Droid Factory] [Down with the Queen] The bonus mission for [Down with the Queen] awarded the correct amount of experience but not the main mission. I took some screenshots but unfortunately the ones for Chaos didn't save. The initial Mission [balmorran Target] awarded the correct exp and [bait and Switch] looks like it will as well. http://imgur.com/a/YmhTK
  8. The legacy version has it's own item ID, the old ones weren't made into the legacy version. If you want the legacy version, you'll need to roll a new Inquisitor to get it.
  9. With the changes to the naming system coming in 4.3, any chance we could get a discount on the character rename tokens (something like 90cc like server transfer tokens), or even "x" amount of free tokens (nothing crazy, like 3-5), so people who want to rename their characters with the new system can do so?
  10. Musco!!!!! You know what would be fun? If you guys released a "Blooper reel" of all of your deaths in the Eternal Championship, minus any potential spoilers of course.
  11. That actually makes sense if that's the reasoning behind it. I usually only do the bonus series for the major experience boost but I haven't done one since 4.0 so not sure if they still get rewarded.
  12. Is there any particular reason behind this? It doesn't really make sense to make bonus series require level 60 to start the mission if we're just going to get level sync'd down.
  13. The distance that pops up on the Target portrait frame is from the outer edge of the hit box. On some of the larger boxes it can look like you're standing 8-10 meters from the boss but the distance will show >4m. It's also why Watchman/Anni sentinels/marauders had a hard time with ToS on the Revan fight with the sacrificial sphere, because the game would try to put them 1m away from the boss when they'd use Leap/Charge for focus and they'd end up in stupid instead of that inner ring.
  14. Most of the "influx" of new players have already left. When kotfe came out, most of the servers were at heavy population the first week of release at prime time. Now it's back to be standard. KotFE was great, but there wasn't enough to hook people into staying. And now BW's decision making is pushing people away, people that have been playing this game for 3-4 years. So if BW's new business model is to get random influx's of casuals who leave after a month, and paying subs who go f2p for a few months and then sub for a month, then go f2p for a few months again, this is definitely the way to do it.
  15. 1 out of 2 decisions today were good. Too bad the terrible NiM loot decision vastly out weighs the good decision to finally fix the cartel packs. But message recieved. Group content: no priority. Cartel Market: High priority.
  16. Don't be surprised if there's 224 craftables coming in February with the changes in crafting coming.
  17. Oh boy. This is going to go down even worse than the companion debuff fiasco. This is probably the worst thing the devs have done in the 4 years of the game. Not only the decision to not have NiM drop 224, but not even bothering to fix the current drop rate until February? :rak_02::rak_02::rak_02::rak_02:
  18. Eric isn't the one making these changes. He's the community manager. The go between for the devs and the players. It's unfair to blame Eric (or any of the community team, for that matter) for decisions that get made by the developers and producers of the game. Eric is the messenger, don't shoot the messenger.
  19. Level: 65 Class: Commando Spec: Gunnery Gear: Mostly 216 non-set bonus drops from ops, 216 mainhand Companion: Jorgan (reclaimed from terminal) influence level 26, Heal stance Mission: Starfortress H2+ No terminal buff (didn't have any alliance specialist at rank 3 for it) Was 2/3 on the arrays for the final boss of the flashpoint, got 1/2 of the elite adds down and it felt like Jorgan just gave up on the fight. Saved heroic moment for the 2-5th attempts to kill this final wave of enemies to finish this flashpoint, but it didn't make any difference. Solo'ing it wasn't that bad until this final pull. I enjoyed the challenge. So I don't think companions need to be reverted back to pre-4.0.2, but I feel they do need to be slightly buffed up from where they are now.
