Why do people think that because "servers go down, and stuff happens" that it's just okay? That logic is terrible.

If that was the case then it would work anywhere. "Well cars break down, who cares if you just bought it". "People die, so what's another death, we all deserve to die, it might as well be right NOW!" ...I could go on forever. Here's one. "Companies compensate when they waste their consumers money and time..." Yeah how about it Eaware?

I like how some people are saying it's the middle of the day. You forget this game is played world wide. It's not the middle for some of us. And also there are plenty of students who have odd schedules plus people who don't work the 9-5 shifts. You can't shove them off a cliff just because you are at work and this doesn't affect you.

 

Point is, the service I, and the rest of you are paying for is being interrupted. For a good reason, yes, but you still deserve to be compensated.

 

If a cop rear ended you car chasing a terrorist, should the police not compensate you because his reason was just? I mean preventing a bomb from going off? Forget paying out insurances!!! AM I RIGHT?!?! No...they owe you regardless of intent. The fact is, we are not to blame for this. Heavy traffic, more players, any excuse against us is their own fault. They are supposed to anticipate and keep things working. If they fail, it's as simple as "Sorry, and here is your compensation". It's not greed cause right now they are taking my hard earned money, your hard earned money away. It costs about 25 cents for 3 hours of sub. If they take that much away from five thousand people that's $1250 dollars. No company deserves that kind of free money. This issue has been going on for days...so that adds up to be a lot more.

 

Just saying...they owe us something and I don't want a title "You survived a server maintenance".

So my question, since this has been going on for a couple days now, why isn't anything permanent being done about it? Instead of just rebooting the servers and rolling everyone's characters back? This is causing a lot of unrest in the community... I don't normally post on forums, but this is getting a bit out of hand. I'm not looking for any kind of freebies or handouts, I just want to enjoy the game that I have put a LOT of money into.

 

Exactly, you put a lot of money into this game. Having it shut down, regardless of good intentions or not is on their end. I am paying for a service. When my internet provider fails to give me the service I paid for I get compensated with a free month or money credited to my account. This should be treated the same way. They are doing their job to fix it, but their real job is to prevent issues like this. Some things happen unexpectedly I get that....but when those events occur, the customers should be compensated for their loss. If you take it and don't ask for anything in return, they will just take that as a sign to ignore complaints in the future.

 

Some of us are busy in real life. This might have been the only time this week some of us could play. Compensation isn't a want, it's a must.
