  2. Or... charge them a small amount for every WZ, OP or FP they enter...least then they will contribute an equal amount as every subscriber does.... 10 WZ,OPS, FPS for a dollar. there is virtuall no point in subscribing with your idea... im not paying £15 a month for a bunch of free coins i will never use.
  3. well games like everquest2 managed 7+ years on the subscription model... and they never had the subsciption numbers that swtor have.. they went f2p last year and subscriber numbers jumped.. sony made loads more money... but the game quality went rapidly downhill...
  4. yeah i wont worry if my subscription gives me unlimited access to this new market.... what i think will happen is that we will only get a token amount of free coins.... not enough to make regular purchases with thats for certain.
  5. In everquest2 when they went f2p the free coins they gave only allowed a token purchase...normally 1 or 2 items a month. BW wont be giving out alot of them to be sure... and the items on the Market WILL be the best looking stuff in game you can guarantee that.
  6. Having been through a subscription to free to play episode with a mmorpg game before i joined swtor i can acuratly predict how it will go.. 1) DAY 1 - everything starts out ok... subscriber numbers ok.. influx of new players who spend money on f2p content. Devs put very strick limits on what f2p can do and everybody seems happy. 2) DAY 30 - subscribers start to get annoyed when f2p players start to get cool new stuff that CAN ONLY be purchased with coins. New armor is released that "looks better" that stuff subscribers can get. 3) DAY 90 - All interesting fluff stuff becomes f2p and requires extra cash to purchase. Developers stop adding in fluff stuff at all for subscribers who universally get basic armor/weapon models while all the cool stuff goes straight onto the market for quick cash rewards. 4) DAY 100 - subscribers nearly all cancel thier subs. f2p coins prices start to raise and content becomes more basic and cheaper of quality. least that how it happened in everquest2. There is currently no new fluff content you have to buy it all... they also give you station cash.... but its a pitiful amount and only really allows you to purchase 1 item a month (out of a possible 2000) my email started to get spammed with "please come and by this cool mount" on a weekly basis. F2P can work... but not alongside a subscription model because BW wont be able to resist putting the best stuff on the market. Its either one or the other.
  7. Why would anybody just spend time and mooch like that? i mean seriously...if your going to go afk then loose all credit for being there and potentiall suffer a penalty... if you are going to toss a heal afound every now and then then your not afk... so why not make the best of a fight... your just trying to be difficult tbh... warzones are seriously suffering with dropouts....i see no reason not to give a 1 hour debuff penalty for dropouts... and a vote button for afk's... the only people who loose out are people who really dont give a **** if they are spoiling others peoples enjoyment of the game....they deserve what they get to be honest...
