  1. Ok, first off. There is a common sense piece here.. You don't transfer 80% of the community and then claim you need metrics to deal with the final 20%. If there were serious issues, that would have been seen after 50% had been transferred. People were probably up night and day to get what they were able to get done. With that being said, I really wish BioWare communicated more respectfully to the user base. Using Pre-canned messages over and over is not communicating, it's just trying to tide us over, etc.. It's amazing that I picked TWO of the only PVP East servers to build toons on that haven't been transferred. I still don't believe this situation is FAIR on an ethical or moral level certainly not technical. Hopefully the powers that be figure out that the 20% of people that had to wait nearly 5 extra days for a transfer should be given a FREE week of play. They altered OTHER gamers experiences for the better. That is the only thing as a customer that I think we're entitled to is the gaming experience that they promised to deliver. BW doesn't like constructive criticism too much though.. There is a line because they don't want to hear about how they messed up a situation that could have been easily avoided with experienced Customer Service. I just hope they don't destroy the branding of the game because it's been painfully obvious they are turning massive amounts of people off. That is not conjecture or speculation but truth. If they don't fix the overall experience soon, this game will be free - to - play in a year. Started off so promisiing but again, it's like someone thinks there is this EASY button. I Beta Tested Everquest and those guys had some REAL challenges in the late 90's. BW, if you need someone to write effective customer service messages I could help you out...
  2. Entitlement isn't the issue. It's EULA agreements that always favor the company instead of the customer.. The problem is people are jealous now of other peoples user experiences and if they've paid their monthly dues, that means their experience is lesser than others whom paid the same amount. I think people get caught up in calling things "entitlement" when in reality they are talking about equity. I certainly think the people who've been able to play on high pop servers for the week have had a better OVERALL user experience. The people that are stuck waiting have paid for the same amount of time but have not been made happy.. In EULA agreements they always use that " Experience may change" crap in order to reduce their liability. In a legal sense, there isn't much any of the unhappy people can do. The Ethical and moral conversations are different but for now since all we can use is leagalese, the people BW didn't move got bent over financially, even if it's a few dollars. Multiply those few dollars across thousands of people. It's not right but it's perfectly legal.. Patience is about all you can practice now.. It takes me 2 weeks to win 9 Warzone matches do to our server population. My game experience has sucked since the 1.2 patch people left the game, AGAIN!
  3. The problem with BioWare is that they are poor at setting user expectations and then when stuff hits the fan, people get all pissed off. BioWare would have been better off from the start if they had experienced customer service advocates. It would have been simple. "Server transfers are set to begin on June 11th. This does not mean that ALL servers will be eligible for transfrer on this date. It is possible that the transfer process may take up to 1 week in order to properly size/configure and remediate any problems found during the transfer process. In addition we'd like to extend a free gaming period with those of you with active accounts for the next week. Since many have complained about not being able to play due to server populations, we'd like to extend your current membership by 1 week ." You can tell that they are rookies running the customer service end of things with BioWare. They've made a lot of missteps. That's to be expected though.. As a user communinty and people that should know a little more about computers than others, especially those whom work in Software Development, you should KNOW that these things happen. With computers as soon as you recognize what you are doing is making something worse, you have to stop an re-evaluate. That is what I perceive BioWare as doing, evaluating any missteps, etc.. I've been dying for Belgoths Beacon to get transferred or become a destination server, sucks when only 12 People are in the Fleet. Yoda would preach patience but since most of you are probably Sith, that doesn't sit well with you..
