My head just exploded.

Just cancelled my sub. Will prob give it another try after Summer. My main greivances; (in no particular order) Dead Server. Voice acting gets old real fast, especially on non main quests. Companions popping up when returning from missions no matter what I'm doing. Lazy design on planets, all the buildings look the same, Planets are terribly boring. Dungeons and Raids I'm already sick of from other games. Generally boring endgame. No real innovation, just copying other MMOs. Stealth nerfing. As OP states people are tired of the same grind formula from WOW, when is someone going to really try something different. I hoped SWTOR would be the one and I was disappointed.

+1 How about; "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" or "UNLIMITED POWERRRR" Yoda's escape from Kashyyk far too brief. How about showing us an epic battle between Yoda and Wookies vs Clones. Anakin a Jedi one minute then killing young Padawans the next. Obi Wan vs Anakin stupid CGI Blue vs Blue lightsaber fight, complete with ridiculous fighting on top of small robots on a lava river nonsense. Most of the Jedi falling like lame ducks, especially the 3 who go with Mace Windu to face the Emperor. Too many meaningless Lightsaber duels, General Grievous, Count Dooku. Watching the film and knowing exactly what is going to happen to EVERY character.

Do not underestimate the powers of the Emp.....I mean Lucas.

Excellent points here, however fixing Anakin alone would not solve ALL the problems of the Prequels.

I think it would be quite an accomplishment to come up with WORSE ideas than those Lucas poured into 1,2 and 3 my friend. I'm struggling to remember the "lot of crap moments" from 4,5 and 6. Could you please enlighten us all. Especially the masterpiece that was Empire Strikes Back, a film that recently came No. 2 favourite film EVER according to the readers of Empire magazine. Revenge of the Sith was a long LONG way from being great.

One thing I really didn't like was the BLUE vs BLUE lightsaber. IT made it a little hard to tell what was going on sometimes with the mesh of Blue light. There are much better ways to tie the backstory of Obi Wan coming into possesion of Anakin's Blue Saber to give to Luke. Anakin has become a Sith afterall so let him have his RED lightsaber. To make the whole Anakin vs Obi Wan better they should have made Obi Wan a much better Jedi after Phantom Menace, a true match for Anakin and not having Anakin save Obi Wan's lame *** all the time. Like Hector and Achilles coming together, the two champions forced to face each other. It was hard for me to really believe that Obi Wan was anywhere near a match for Anakin. Also all the stupid hovering over the lava on those droids, acrobating all over that structure that fell over the lava fall and the high ground nonsense we can do without.

I am lvl 39 Jedi Sentinel with 1.2 million credits.(Currently my only Toon). I have Slicing/Archaeology/Treasure Hunting. I picked 3 gathering skills to try and make a little money with first toon. Slicing is still good in quest areas. I have a rule, if I see a slice node then I MUST go get it. I try not to spend money on Gear etc because it will be useless in time. I sell stuff gained from skills on the GTM.

Yep. I ve had loads of time off over Xmas and played loads but I am still only lvl 38 and enjoying the game a lot. Last week I saw a thread called "What lvl are you". Some of the folk in that thread were claiming to have 7-8 toons from max lvl to low level. I mean what do these people do for a living? Images of that Jabba like creature from Blade come to mind.

Super Star Destroyer as far as Capital ships go. Just a bad *** ship and legendary entrance in Empire Strikes Back putting the regular Star Destroyers in the shade.

I wasnt saying bring in the actual Han Solo but how about a rogue type character with the heros. Perhaps Jango Fett could have been that rogue with the Good guys, with his son becoming bad, kinda the opposite of Vader/Luke. Your right about C3PO, R2, Chewbacca. It's an immense Galaxy, just stupid to run into same characters.

This is a very good point. Other than Yoda, basically ALL the Jedi ever do is ignite a lightsaber, deflect the odd blaster bolt and that silly force throw at the end. We re told that Anakin has all this power and what? he ignites his lightsaber, deflects the odd blaster bolt and uses a force throw/choke at the end. How about Anakin taps into his so called immense power to save the Jedi in the Arena in episode 2. You think that maybe Yoda would have thought it a good idea to train the Jedi in a few more advanced techniques after the appearance of the Sith in Ep 1.

I think you are just digging you heels in. So what if he loves Padme? what does killing little kids have to do with saving Padme? Stopping Windu yes I can get there but "to save Padme I must now go kill Children"?? Doesn't make any sense.

My point was we have had Star Wars, a kind of semi Adult/Kids movie mashup that really worked then the Prequels came along and made a full blown Kids movie, whilst the huge fanbase that the movies had have AGED. So why not age the movie from semi Adult/Kids movie to outright ADULT movie rather than go backwards.

My main point was one moment we have Anakin reporting the Emperor To Mace Windu, then granted he stops Windu killing the Emperor( I can fully understand that) but THEN there is a very big leap for him to go ahead virtually the same day WITHIN THE MOVIE start cutting children to pieces. The sort of change that would happen within to start killing children is not a quick one.

Yep, 2 Stoic Jedi, a Stoic child Queen, a child and Jar Jar does not make for very interesting viewing. Perhaps Jango Fett as the Rogue Hero rather than have him an ally of the Sith.

I don't agree at all, If we see him properly turn to the Dark side at the end of Episode 2 somehow then it is much more believable that we see him slaughtering Children halfway through Episode 3 months later. It is not a gradual change at all. How about a scene where the Emperor slaughters the children with Anakin looking on bowing his head. That would be a scene that makes much more sense.

Name a few things you think would have made the Prequels better, assuming the same General storyline is kept the same, which of course it has to be. These can be anything from things within the film or outside, ie Director/Scriptwriting etc. 1. No Prophecy. No Chosen One. No Mediclorians (or however you spell it). How about just a story about a powerful young Jedi Anakin Skywalker. 2. Make the general feel of the films more Adult. Why make a kids movie when your fan base have grown up into ADULTS? No Jar Jar Binks or comparable characters. 3. Much less CGI and more of a real look to locations. CGI at the moment is not all its cracked up to be. Use CGI when necessary, Gollum for example. Don't make the entire movie into a CGI cartoon. 4. 1 or 2 meaningful lighsaber duels per film. Not 5 like in Revenge of the Sith. They actually got this right with Menace and Clones. 5. Hire a capable Director and a team of good scripwriters. 6. Start with Anakin as a young Adult and remove the need for switching Actors. Perhaps even remove Qui Gon Jin altogether and start with Obi Wan and Anakin together. 7. Bring a much loved character like Yoda into the plot more. Unlike Phantom Menace where he basically sits in the Council Chamber, not involved in the plot at all. 8. Remove silly rules that make no sense and hold back the movies potential, like There are ONLY 2 Sith or the Jedi do not have children. 9. Don't skip briefly over important sequences within the movie. Yoda's escape from Kashyyk for example. Show us a battle between Yoda and the Wookies taking on the Clones or the attack on the Jedi temple. Generally try to have less going on so you can give more time to what should have been highlights of the film. 10. Get the Emperor more invloved. A fascinating character from ROTJ lets see him get a bit more active. No need to hide his face behind a cloak for the first two parts, we all know who he is. 11. Interesting characters. Where is the Han Solo of the prequels? 12. Remove R2 and C3PO from the prequels altogether. I mean cmon it is a litle bit silly. Many more I'm sure.

Reminds me of the stupidity of the Prequel writing. One minute Anakin is a Jedi, then the same day he is off killing children??!! I just don't get there. Also how can there be a redemption after you have slaugtered children? The Emperor should have been the one to kill the younglings, also Anakin's turn to the Darkside should have happened at the end of the second film, not some instantaneous change halfway through aprt 3.

Problem is who is going to tell Lucas to keep his mitts off the next Star Wars movie? He is not just some subordinate studio Director. He has become his own Studio head/Billionaire. None of his brown nose underlings are going to tell him. He saw the light with Empire Strikes Back ( the number 2 movie on my all time fav movies list) and hired his old teacher Irvin Kershner to Direct while he stepped back into Exec Producer. Please for the love of God Lucas do the same again.
