  1. I didn't read through every page, so maybe this was already said. I would like to be able to have more windows open on my screen. I have my resolution set very high and have a lot of space for open windows. It is really a pain having to make sure to close my inventory window before opening my character window when I am browsing through the GTN, lest I wish to lose my place on the GTN window. It would just be nice to have all three (or more) open at one time.
  2. April 1st is also a holiday in the United States known as Cesar Chavez Day. Cesar Chavez was born on March 31st, which turns out to be Easter this year, so his birthday is being celebrated on April 1st. The only disclaimer to this holiday is that it is only celebrated in California, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado and is only an optional holiday. I know that most of the courts and universities in Southern California are closed on that day, but community colleges and businesses are not. I assume (note: I'm not trying to make an *** out of anyone) that Bioware Austin means they are based in Texas, so it shouldn't be a stretch asking for them to recognize April 1st as a holiday.
  3. What we know: New abilities. Level increase. New flashpoints. New Operations. Makeb. You fight the Hutt Cartel. The only difference? No new class. Really, it looks pretty much the same in those terms. Look how many zones there were in Cataclysm to earn five levels. For all we know, Makeb could be the first entirely explorable planet. I do, however, agree that more information would be nice. Even just screenshots of what the environment looks like would be nice. EDIT: The new flashpoint/operation information comes from what I read in the State of the Game post. I don't generally read things wrong, but if I did, then I rescind my statements.
  4. We should have the ability to engage the jump to lightspeed at any moment during a space mission. I can't count the times I've completed every objective, then still had to fly around for several minutes while I wait for the mission to be over. I understand that the first time running through a mission, or running them for experience, requires more time to get everything completed, but when you are level 50 running them just for the commendations, all that wasted time is just that. Wasted time.
  5. The headpiece is Marauder's Foundry Hood. Medium Armor, no class requirement, obtained in The Foundry. It originally drops with Strength armor/mod/enhancement, so you will need a Warrior with you to get it to drop. There is another helm, that looks identical, called Force Sentinel Headgear, that has the same lack of restrictions as the Hood. I don't remember where that was from, but I believe it was a flashpoint prior to Foundry. That one will require you to be grouped with a Warrior as well.
  6. Those should have been Tionese, and yes, those are for every character as soon as they reach level 50. It also goes to characters that were 50 pre-1.6.
  7. Of course, it wouldn't be the same as the other game. No reagents or what-have-you. I also don't think it would be something useable in PVP. I think it would best be used for PVE. I figure it would work something like this: -Force-users would use the Force to keep themselves from suffering damage upon landing after a fall from a great height. -Bounty Hunters would use a jetpack to land softly. These jetpacks/rockets are already a part of their armor. -Troopers might have some type of grappling hook. Maybe a Batman-type grappling-hook-gun as a way to avoid some sort of rappel animation. -Smugglers/Imperial Agents would have a parachute that could be used as little as 10 meters off the ground. -There would be a cooldown; possibly one or two minutes. One of my favorite things to do in any game is to find places that have a very high elevation and then jump off, just to watch the fall. In some other games it is safe, because there is usually water more than waist-deep to jump into. Unfortunately, that isn't the case in SW:ToR. I normally wouldn't even suggest something like this, but I think that it makes sense in the Star Wars universe.
  8. The current randomness of the packs is what ensures I can spend credits buying the items I want instead of real money. If people got only the items they wanted from Cartel Packs, then nothing would end up on the GTN. If there isn't any of the cartel stuff on the GTN, then there wouldn't really be a way to get said items without spending real money. Therefore, Cartel Packs based on your idea would be unfair to people who don't want to spend real life money to acquire goods that come from Cartel Packs.
  9. I agree with this idea. It's probably one of the best ideas for increasing choices in armor appearance, since there are so many great looking greens and blues out there.
  10. First off, I don't think this is the right thread to be submitting bug/exploit information. That might be in the Customer Service thread. Second, as was previously stated, you probably don't want to be killed by the mob while zoning in, so it was designed that way. Third, there are in fact some mission objectives you cannot get while in a combat state, whether or not you're taking damage. Try doing Lights Out on Belsavis while your companion fights the mobs. That got fixed, because people were suicide running the switches.
  11. My problem is more to do with not having enough keybinds to have all DPS abilities and Healing abilities together. I use E, R, F, X, C, V, Q, 1-5, as well as shift- and ctrl- with all of those, for all of my dps abilities. When I switch from DPS to healing, I need to put my healing abilities on my quickbars somewhere, and I refuse to be a clicker. I prefer keypressing. Therefore, I constantly have to change my bars around when changing specs. I'm sorry if I lost you in my first post. I suppose I should have said "changing my abilities around," instead of "changing my abilities." EDIT: An example would be that I use E for Shock, Shift-E for Force Lightning, Ctrl-E for Lightning Strike, R for Affliction, Shift-R for Crushing Darkness, etc. When I change to my healing spec, I like to use those same keybinds for healing abilities, which means I have to move my abilities around on my quickbars. That is where my frustration comes from, and why I wouldn't mind a way to save different quickbar setups if they don't end up putting in dual specs. The response from the CSR is dated in June, and here we are at the end of November with no mention of Dual Specs since.
  12. I wasn't saying having the speeder made them skilled at their class. I just said it showed that they have run a lot of HM OPS, especially since you have to finish every HM Operation, up to EC, to get the Aratech Nightscythe.
  13. I wouldn't mind speeders being put on the Market, but not the ones that show you've achieved something in the game. Whenever I see someone riding around an Aratech Nightscythe, I think, "man, that guy has run a lot of HM OPS to get that. Someday, that's gonna be me." Then I go work at getting it. If you could just buy it, then what is the point of even having an achievement system? I know the achievement system is nothing like in wow, but who needs a list like they have? The visual evidence in this game is perfect as it is, and to ruin that, by putting it on the Market, would just be an insult to hard-working players everywhere. So, yes, more speeders on the Market, but not ones obtained through work and dedication.
  14. I, too, have several level 50 alts, but I have to ask: How would this be fair in PVP? You think 10% is not that big a difference, but in PVP that is quite a huge leap over players who prefer to spend the little play time they have focusing on their one character. You sound like you're asking for these bonuses so that you can either have an edge over other players, or so you can have an edge over other players. It would be even worse in 1-49 WZ's. I understand that it wouldn't be such a big deal in PVE, but in PVP it's just unfair. I don't even PVP, either. I'm just thinking in terms of the population as a whole, and not as just me. EDIT: The reason Human race gives a +100 Presence bonus is because that race is available to all classes at the start of the game, whereas the other races are available to specific classes until you unlock them.
  15. I've said this in another post, but I don't think it hurts to say it here. I have no problem with memorizing my different spec, and switching back and forth. I just wish there were an easier way to change, or even save, my quickbar setup. Changing my abilities every time I change my spec is what annoys me most. I use a lot of key bindings for ability activation, including shift- and ctrl- modifications. As a Sorc, I have 3 bars full of DPS/DPS-related abilities, and changing my abilities every time I switch to healing for FP/OPS, then back again when I go solo dailies, gets annoying at times. I stopped doing flashpoints, because I'm tired of fixing my quickbars all the time. I think that if dual specs aren't put into the game, then the ability to switch between different quickbar setups should be. Dual Specs would be more convenient and less annoying overall, though. TL;DR If not Dual Spec, then multiple quickbar setups please.
