  1. I want to design my own Hilt/Blaster with ingame design tools that the developers could create for us. This imo should be implemented for a lot of things.. armor, vehicles etcetc... there is no reason why this should not be possible in 2012. Many games use design tools like this for character creation, so why not for items. While at it, throw in another 8 mod slots to all items to make the customization more unique.
  2. And hence lies the problem.. It is to predetermined and lacking. There should be a design tool to help players design something unique after 30 minutes of effort and not 30 minutes of waiting for the companion to finish the predetermined hilt with predetermined mods.
  3. Always in previous Star Wars games, I have always wanted and been looking for the option to actually build a lightsaber. The concept of just removing and adding 3-4 mods is way to limited. Where is option for chosing outer shell casing, inner shell, the lens, the power unit, on/off switch, length, circuitry.. I don`t know all the conceivable options really. But would really like to see a lightsaber/blaster is made up of 10-15 different parts or something along those lines. Something to call your own at least
  4. I would not mind there being collision detection, because that would introduce the need for actually being able to aim/target or dodge by moving the character which require little extra skill than just tab and press a button. But with current mechanics, I don`t want to see less buttons... How simple is a game suppose to be? That is the main reason why I dislike consoles. 6 buttons for every possible action and in a game that basically has auto target/aim that is the last thing this game needs. Chose to use less buttons if that is what you prefer, don`t complain about the option of using more.
  5. I always enjoyed sandbox because of the freedom to travel where I want. But what I really do dislike is the use of instances. I expect to see the people that are in the same area as me.
  6. /signed wtb more things like houses etc etc.. but not instanced like the ships are :s I want to occupy other peoples space, only then will property have value and be a part of the economy.
  7. Yeah, would benefit the game and players, problem might be it is a massive overhaul of the entire system. But worth it if you ask me, it is very lacking atm.
  8. One of many features this game could have or should have implemented. (don`t forget betting credits on the winners) It`s all about the extra things you can do that makes up a good RPG. hack and slash is getting old.. or is it new...? either way it`s not fun doing all the time...
  9. You got a point unfortunately... There is nothing else I would like more than to play MMORPG with Star Wars theme. But it really needs more RPG elements besides dialog choices. Just a "tiny" feature like player made cities that needs to be defended from time to time introduces a whole new aspect to the game. Yet there is so much more they could be adding to make this game much more interesting and time consuming for those who wish it to be.
  10. There are many things that could keep people interested. - Buying/selling/maintaining property (houses/bars/clubs/shops) - Constructing/selling/maintaining ships that could be used for future "free space flight" - The ability to buy and sell most items - Music development tools (Midi files kind of compiling patterns of selective amounts of instruments, a pattern could be stored and replayed by players for recreational purposes) - Creating paintings that they can decorate ship/house/club with. (a simple paint tool) - More engineering tools for creating customized looking droids/vehicles/weapons/armor - Treasure hunting from maps founds as loot, giving access to customized crafting materials or something - Placing bounties on other players " /bounty <name> 100000 " that can be claimed when killed on Ilum/WZ - Going fishing for getting consumable items that give certain stats or treasure maps in a bottle. - Growing plants/minerals(materials) in a player developed garden for once a day harvest. -Dyeing the color of your hair or surgically change appearance. - etc etc etc... Things like that would keep me busy for a long time basically aspects of an MMORPG that I am looking for.
  11. Excellent idea and is exactly what this game need... Some people like to live and breath a MMO, and I am one of them. But that is only possible when there are things do to. Those who do not live and breath MMO should already be happy and have no reason to complain about such content. It`s about giving players the option to do other things. Options are always good. This should be Biowares first priority for major content, make the game more player run and not so static and predetermined.
  12. Like: - Voice acting - graphics - star wars theme - WZ (except for bugs ofc and lack of maps) - blizz Dislike: - skill tree (Not enough choices to call my spec unique) - Crafting ( Not enough items/schematics that are useful or unique) - customization (lack of unique choices for stats and looks) - no time sink @ 50 (nothing to do besides repeating OPS and WarZones/getting valor) - Economy (nothing worth selling , nothing worth buying)
  13. Exactly, plenty of things they could be adding to keep people busy with something. It does not always have to be better gear, but I would expect that as well... upgrade from columi is +10 aim and endurance? That equals what, 200hp and 20 damage? Almost not even worth the repair bill, not to mention useless for pvp, so no areas to have use of PvE gear. Could be many things... all would be better than current state. Like running a Casino or bar(any other social place than fleet), building a death star or destroyer, running a shop, building a house(player cities), creating gear that is useful for other level 50s, painting armor, customize vehicle, go fishing, treasure hunting from T-maps, exploring the galaxy in free space flight, bounty hunting, decorating ship, gambling, playing arcade mini multiplayer games, raiding enemy city, surgically change appearance just because someone perhaps would want it.., reading ingame books, selling and buying property... building pod racers, betting on pod racer winners, anything! and everything.. It does not really matter what the time sink is At the moment the options are so limited it is considered a problem for most high levels(MANY people are lvl50, 50% at fleet atm), the only thing that is possible to obtain or play for are valor ranks after getting champion and battlemaster gear that is handed out every day with little or no effort. People that are not 50 yet or play the game as if it was singleplayer, might not see this problem, but it`s there even if they don`t realize it.
  14. I agree with OP, this game need character progression after 50. And need to be less static, by that I mean more individuality through diversity of choices. A skill tree is not good enough, I can only differ from others being same class as me with about 4-5 skill points, because certain amount is needed to progress in a tree. With stats you can only choose between mainstat/surge/critical/endurance.. That is lacking.. That means grab them all. I don`t even have to consider my options, they are pretty much predetermined by the developers. At best I can sacrifice some endurance for a little more critical/surge or visa versa.. I don`t call that much of a choice and I consider it game-breaking for endgame. Even the armor is predetermined and everyone is looking the same, at least they will make it possible to change out armor mods next large patch, too bad 95% of the lower level orange-armor looks like junk. Microscopic step in the right direction.
  15. It would not be very legendary if everyone had it Is that not the point?
