  1. be careful in voidstar ppl if you try to take cover while moving, bug and are then killed while doing this. You can in fact be stuck in the spawn zone because the game thinks your taking cover and unless a sorc pulls you out you will be booted due to "inactivity".
  2. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#400rcrbdRRRGoZbIZb.1 Thats my latest build tried it last night in EC norm was pretty good, dps went up to 2k across a boss encounter in some cases. Energy is not too much of a problem as SOS is pretty much on cooldown and snipers volley now makes the heavy marksman spec a bit more viable. Went for the 3 points in probe and junked 1 point in crit because my gear allowed it and left snipers volley on 2 points because it procs enough already to keep my energy up. I tried Leth builds but it just wasnt happening for me as I had energy issues but im pretty sure thats down to how I play more than anything else. Enjoy
  3. Aion did this and they were very fun to do. Technically though when you enter a story area that is considered a solo instance, but they are usually fairly short and doesnt quite have the same feel as a dungeon. I suppose it would be nice though to have some dungeons for solo players.
  4. I use a power +300 and the kinetic bonus dmg from the 4th boss in KP (cant remember norm or hard) but I do combine that with a surge adrenal which i am currently rethinking. Makes the first snipe a goodun though with laze target
  5. the council is a pain in normal but yeah you just need to grit your teeth on it really. unless you want to change your spec to get the insta snipe and calculated pursuit but imo stick with what you got.
  6. ballistic dampers is fun but not essential I would rather kick out a bit more dmg, so maybe take some more leth talents.
  7. voidstar you have to physically sit on the door....in the open....and wait for everyone to bomb the living daylights out of you and maybe you just might kill someone and thats when it counts...its not worth it at the end of the day just have a good time imo.
  8. Personally I would rather they reduced the debuff % on the thing and still had it usable on raid bosses. from 45 to like 20-25%
  9. Thats not the whole truth were not too bad at PVP its just a bit circumstancial. But yeah that guy that told you that is a noob by the sounds. We bring just as much to the table as any other class if the situation arises, unless hes so bad that he needs a dedicated healer and off healer.
  10. Careful people can resort to violence when they dont get their way
  11. in response to point 2. unless you die ofc and then it vanishes
  12. I levelled as an engineer because it has the best AOE out of all the specs and a majority of the time your fighting multiple mobs, plus once you get cluster bomb with a full upgrade and EMP you rarely run out of energy. Plus you can REALLY annoy people in voidstar by placing a plasma probe on the door and running the hell away lol If I had to choose between lethality and marks I would choose marks, as it is the best burst damage spec there and you can 2-3 shot most things. But if you want to do some interim pvp then this would be a better choice. My opinion is a bit biased due to the fact that I havnt tried lethality but from what I have seen/heard its not a very good spec. Hope this helps
  13. if you see a sniper in huttball taking out the enemies healers, then he/she is doing their job. Nothing quite like watching 5 people bundle on a tank while his 2 pocket healers are right there spamming him.
  14. ive found it happens to people that button bash a lot. Not saying anyone is a button basher here, but just saying.
  15. im running cybertech atm tbh its whatever your happy with. I ran biotech in beta and was fairly satisfied with it. As you have no healing spells you can make med kits that heal you and your companion which is fairly bonus especially in those fights where you "accidently" take on an elite 1 level higher than you with 50% health with both you and companion... Cybertech im finding a bit of a slow start but I am only level 12 so im not expecting fireworks or anything just yet. I hear that there are CC grenades (slow, stun ect..) which could prove useful in the pvp rotation and the PVE questing. Oh and the first companion gets underworld trading bonus so that does something. But as I said before its whatever your happy with
  16. Hey any chance we could get another forum wipe on just this general discussion forum in a week? as it doesnt really contain much useful knowledge unlike some of the other class/skill forums. already over 100 pages and I bet 75-80% of them are whine gums. Where as some people actually have legit questions and problems they need resolved, I know thats what stickies are for but how are you supposed to sticky a golden egg in a sea of tears. Cheers in advance if you take it on board Cheers anyway cause things could be a hell of a lot worse (it could be 2010 still). (Oh and before you start up the flamethrowers and turn green...no I havnt got my access yet I would just like a quick once round once this early access buisiness is all over, so we can move on and bury this piece of history as that is what it will become when everyone is finally on the game and playing)
