You are pretty much wrong here. Yes PVE T3 > PVP T3 but what you do not understand expertise not only boosts your dmg against players, but also REDUCES dmg from them. It is two fold. So yes it is a 10-11% gain in dmg but go ahead fight a full T3 PVP player with your full rakata. that 10% is more like 20%. expertise works against people who do not have it, hence expertise serves its purpose as a PVP stat.

Sorry for late, been trying to post but it keeps putting me on QUE to access the forums? really? anyway. this is not theory, had this setup in beta. was making sure they did not change anything on release to mess this up. I will have more solid backing when they allow data logs to be exported. Currently to test builds I have been fighting elite mobs and timing how fast it is to kill them. Also in regards to the instant cast over the spell buff over the 1% heal: remember 1sec channel of FL will net you more dmg (endgame iwth all procs and buffs) then the lock out insta cast 1.5sec. This was a habbit I had to break myself too. If in PVP u see yourself running alot insta casting, remember you want to spam affliction and spam FL all day. if you cant your force is better just sitting there for more FL when you repositioned.

Cake walk as Arcane Mage INTRO: This guide is for beginner TOR players who have already decided to play as a sorcerer. I will outline my "ARCANE MAGE" build. This is a hybrid 13/0/28 build that makes gameplay simple and playes on the following key abilities: http://db.darthhater.com/skill_calc/sith_inquisitor/sorcerer/#::f3ef4ef2e3fe2f22e2fefefde10 -MADNESS: no cooldown on Force Lightning (FL) -WRATH: 65.7% chance (30% per tick of FL) to instacast next spell +20% dmg -LIGHTNING BARAGE: Afliction crits give ur FL deal dmg 2x faster -DEATH MARK: 20%+ dmg on periodic dmg you also get -CHAIN LIGHTNING: high dmg 3sec cast spell that can bounce to 5 targets. -HAUNTED DREAMS: Seriously making the best CC in the game. Instant cast CC, if you break it still stuns for 2sec. -SITH EFFICIENCY: 3% force return per FL cast. -PARASETISM + DEATH FIELD: mad HP REGEN Please stick to topic and do not argue that this class is EZ mode already. I suggest you try my build atleast 1x and you will see a huge difference in your gameplay by removing the % of error you may have with more complex builds or other complex classes. Yes they can have more DMG / rewarding feeling in the end but to acheive perfect gameplay to reach that, there is a higher % of error. play arcane mage lvl 50, do 100,000 potential dmg with %2 of messing up. or (example) play maurader lvl 50 do 120,000 with a %37 of messing up. Throw in factor of movement, and pretty much ARCANE MAGE is #1. Your major abilities are instant cast dots and FL is a channel with 1sec ticks, and SPAMMABLE! You can cast for 1 tick, move and resume, highly mobile. OVERVIEW: Single target rotation- Affliction > Death FIELD > FL > FL > FL WARTH procs = Crushing darkenss insta cast Elite + minion rotation - Death Field > Affliction > FL > FL > FL Wrath procs = Chain lightning AOE - Death Field > tab/spam Affliction if you need HP > Chain lightning OVERALL keep aflicion dot up, death field dot up, spam FL, wrath proc = cast Crushing darkness or chain lightning. HOW TO ARCANE PER LVL 10-14, 3xCalcify > 2xWill of sith 15-16, 2xDisintegration 17-20, Get Madness -This is my highly recomended CORE build no matter what spec for leveling. FL IS AWSOME! I skip getting Deathfield here, since I beleived chain lightning + lightning barrage is more important. At this lvl you want to get a core force replenishment. 21-25, 3xElectric induction > Reserves -You want to switch to Electrical tree even if these 5 points are not as good as, Sith Efficiency. Because you want to get Lightning barrage and chain lightning. 31, Chain lightning 32-33, 2xLightning barrage - now that you have LB, you will see a big gain. 34, Deathfield 35-37, Sith efficiency, pretty much GG, you can Force spam twice as long now. 43, Death mark, 20% dmg to everything you do pretty much 44-50, 3xCreeping death and pretty much be a DOT + FL monster CREEPING DEATH VS SEEPING DARKNESS not to get deep into theory crafting out, but you want to spec +3% crit if you are less then 16-20% passive crit over Creeping darknesses +30% to crit dmg PVP PVP is pretty much awsome already but in this build you are now highly mobile and have more CC. The point here is to dish out most damage. so in a group setting you will TAB/Affliction spam for a Lightning Barrage proc and cast a 1.5sec FL. Use Death field as AOE on a group. SPam FL on single target focuses, use Wrath procs for Chain lightning for groups or Crushing darkness for single. *** PWN QQ MORE, Haunted Dreams = 100% get away, pretty much. Even if they break it with trinket, they will be stunned. it is range instant. Best CC in game. Note for PVP some might use 2xSuppresion, but as a mage if you need to use SHEEP more often then 1min, you are already in trouble anyway. So I opp for Creeping Death. TO BE CONTINUED

Go Madness till spammable Force lightning then back to lightning to get chain lightning. fastest way to solo lvl. if have group/partner all the time, that is dps, go healz.
