  2. It's the common build, or the onlyone still working for pyro. Just a few notes: 1º Power armor gives you less damage reduction than rebraced armor, don't remember exactly how much but it gives you more, you can check it in a sec. 2º Retractable blade's dps is not even worth to clean, ye it increases the dps but it's not gonna help you, on that GCD you can use flameburst and you'll get more dps. 3º Pyro shield is not worthy, it deals damage to just 1 target (1vs1) which in wz should not be happening often if you're a pt doing your job. This is the current espec I use when I play pyro: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hMhMzZMsZfhrbzRrc.3 The last 4 points are completely optional. I usually put them in burnout (3) and hot iron (1). But that's up to the user, you can also play more defensive and use Combust or use 2 points in hot iron and 2 in burnout. Just my opinion Cheers

    Where Is It?

    Awesome post Kevin Yesterday I was talking with friend who quitted not long ago (Castidad) and we were saying the same thing... this game have such potential for PvP as well as PvE... but it seems that they want to lose customers in purpose... it has no sense. You can queue with 4 friends for wz... why don't you design 3-4 small maps for 4vs4? Adding some rating to it too so you don't need to find 8 people to be able to do rated. How many teams are not doing rated just because they don't have enough players? In 4 vs 4 you could play morning, afternoon and night as hardcore PvPer... 8 vs 8 people you just can't make it because we all have a life outside the game. There were way more pvpers earlier in the game, but they are leaving little by little because BW is killing the PvP. Please stop killing PvP, give us a reason to stay... because we really want to, but you're making it SO hard that even Kevin had to post... Cheers
  4. I do agree hybrids are usually not too good between shield and tactics... except for this one in huttball. It's freaking amazing, you can move up and down and you're basically unstoppable. 35 seconds CD on grapple + 10 seconds of Hold the Line every 15 seconds (with combat medic set bonus) = "catch me if you can" It's hilarious every time a sent/jugg, leaps on me and I leave them behind or when shadows/vanguards try to pull me in the fire and end up calling me cheater I like it more as a ball carrier than a juggernaut, a juggernaut can be rooted and slowed to dead. This hybrid is unstoppable, they can try to pull you, push you, root you... but you just keep going forward (if you have a healer with you ofc) P.S: Advice, run in a premade with a carnage marauder and an op healer... then see what happens when hutball pops
  5. That's my hutball espec! It's the only map where it's really efficient. Don't know if you have thought about it, but I recommend to use the combat medic set bonus (1) for that spec, which reduces the CD of Hold the Line by 5 seconds

  8. And can I suggest that both teams have to be on the screeshot, so people doesn't claim records that they know are not theirs?   9. First of all, nice post. Less whinning and more proposals. I like your ideas, but I would add: -At 3 stacks, pulse cannon tics twice fast... - Higher damage on fire pulse and/or stockstrike (is called like that for vg's? I'm a pt). I would prefer rocket punch/stockstrike since it would be nice for both assault and tactics. I don't see why it cannot be our highest hitting skill since is shared and basic for both especs. - Reduce the CD in shoulder cannon... please? pretty please? I mean it gives some nice burst but... 1:30 CD? for a damage skill? 30 seconds is more than enough I think 1 last thing... Eliminator set bonus for PvP, first bonus... if devs know, and I really hope they do know, that pt's and vg's are running with it because it's better for Assault/Pyrotech, why the first bonus of the set is still only useful for commandos/mercs? I don't see why I can't be useful for both AC's. Cheers
  10. I've seen your depressed posts in both forums vg's and pt's and really didn't care but this last one... that was my line. I am a main pt on a ranked team and I am not pissed... do you know why? because there is a terrible bolster now in wz makes impossible to test anything. You can get facerrolled by a sniper level 36 or you can destroy 1 level 53, you never know because of the bug in the bolster. A lot of people says that pt's are easy to play and that is just a huge lie... 90% of pt's are terrible. What is easy to do with a pt is damage, that's easy. But what it makes a difference between a good or a bad pt is the positioning, taunts, call targets, do right pulls (for example, making the guy you pull LoS his healer), don't LoSing your healers... Play a pt was hard in rated because we had no way to get out if focused and we didn't have a proper gap closer... until 2.0. We have some nasty toys that I'm loving for my TEAMPLAY and I'm looking forward to try them in rated... example? Try this: when you have a few maras/juggers next to you: oil slick, flame sweep... then call your 2 rage buddies and rofl... and if you pull a healer before the oil slick then you rofl twice... About our "non-burst"... my flame burst crits for +3k now, plus 7k Railshot = 10k damge in 1 GCD... I might change my mind once mix max and tryed in rated... until then, I don't see why I should complain and I think that people should do the same... complaining without proper testing is completely useless Just my opinion Cheers P.S: no offense, I never said if you were bad or good, don't know you so I can't tell, but I just want people to stop complaining and start testing
  11. It doesn't give them 5 extra seconds, reduces its CD 5 seconds. So instead of 30 I'd be 25. It lasts 6 sec, 10 if spec to AP/Tactics or Gunnery/Arsenal. Pyro/Assault would have it every 19 seconds (down from 24) while "individual" tree would have it every 15 (down from 20). Considering that both AP/Tactics and Gunnery/Arsenal need some love it could be nice.
  12. That would be another option, but I think it's too complicate and unnecessary since it could be fixed easily. Later today I was also thinking about maybe switching the first bonus from the Eliminator set with the new Combat Medic set bonus, since HL/HO is going to be shared, it would make it usefull for both AC's and it would not mess with the trees (common or individual) It would be nice if a merc/commando healer comments about this last idea... it might be a nice solution.

Before I get to the point, please do not talk here about the nerf to pt's and vg's, that would be going out of the topic and I'd like to have a constructive chat about the PvP Eliminator set bonuses for 2.0 so hopefully devs look at it and make some changes. All pt's and vg's know (or should know) that for phyro/assault spec it is necessary to get this set, even thou the first bonus is completely useless for us. Marauders/Sentinels had the same problem with the Vindicator set bonus... but that has been fixed in 2.0... So I'm wondering... would it be possible to change the first bonus to make it usefull for both merc/pt's commandos/vg's? Maybe I put this topic on the table a bit too late, but I thought that better bring it up now that don't do it since I haven't seen any other post talking about this. Some ideas: -Increases the movement speed reduction of CGC/PC's by X% and increases its duration by X sec. Pros: Nice and needed for both AC's // Cons: Useless for Arsenal/Gunnery - Reduces the CD of Reactive/Energy Shield by 30 sec. Pros: With all the survivability from the phyro/assault tree gone, it would be some needed love on that sense // Cons: maybe a bit too good for Arsenal/Gunnery and AP/Tactics - Reduces the CD on Recharge Cells/Vent heat by 30 sec. Pros: Well, it's always wellcome to have a better energy management // Cons: with the skill reducing its CD already 30 sec on the top of tree it might be a bit too much and with the improved energy management for gunnery/arsenal it might be useless for them - Increases damage dealt by RS/HIV by 200% . Pros: really necessary // Cons: none Comment, give some more ideas (with Pros and Cons, so it's possible to discuss about it) and let's hope we get a useful set for both AC's of BH and Troopers in 2.0 or 2.1 the lastest Cheers P.S: If you think I was serious about 200% extra damage on RS/HIV... gotchaaaa
  14. It was nothing I think it's nice that there are a few teams trying to make a rwz team now, hopefully there will be more teams -more competition-more fun when 2.0 arrives. Most important thing is to keep the motivation up and keep trying and learning. Victories will arrive soon or later.
  15. Que que que que que and keep on going. Learn from mistakes and don't worry about loosing, it's a learning process! If possible, record your games and watch them later, so you can comment your own mistakes with your group. You need to talk and talk between you guys. From what I've seen yesterday after 2 games vs you guys: - Huttball--> Don't run behind ball carrier, you need to control mid no matter what, it's better to give them 1 goal than to give them mid (Kharma did that same mistake vs Coral earlier yesterday, then vs you guys they did better) - Novare --> Don't switch sides ALL the time, the other team will kill you on your way there, fight at south and if you want to attack theirs go from the side, not from south (easier to intercept you). Also... you stack together too much. keep more distance between you guys or lolsmashers will have their day Keep on going! Cheers
  16. Yeah, Oil slick will probably be the way to go. Considering that also our defenses has been nerfed in phyro (energy rebounder in AP now), we'll have to be back with our healers and even if we loose some "burst" by not having TD, utility and teamwork will be actually better with the "hybrid". About CGC, I don't feel is that weak, it still hurts and crits for 1k or more.
  17. If you're talking about AP-Phyro hybrid I'm sorry but that's not available anymore: Advanced Prototype Charged Gauntlets has been redesigned. While High Energy Gas Cylinder is active, damage dealt by Rocket Punch makes the next Rail Shot an automatic critical hit. The Powertech skill tree has been rearranged, making Charged Gauntlets require Prototype Cylinder Ventilation instead of Serrated Blades About TD, well I think 4k TD + 7k Railshot is bursty enough to take down a target... and I agree the new dot of TD sucks... it would be quite better if instead of 12 seconds it was 6. At least they buffed crit again, so we should be able to reach 30% crit... Cheers
  18. 1 Sage vs 5 and survive? Well yeah we all know there are some monkeys playing this game. I already said this before in the jugg section but I will say it here too... Tank stats ARE usefull in PvP and that's why best ranked teams bring ALWAYS a full optimized tank (jugger/guardian most of them). "There are so many attacks that make defensive stats useless"... yeah well and there are so many situations where they are useful too... want a list? Maul, trash, assessinate, dispatch, ravage, massacre, vicious slash, railshot, aim, series of shots, takedown...and probably missing many. Hmm... all hard hitting skills Furthermore, the higher endurance mods and enhacements will give you around 5-6k more HP...it does make a difference. But of course you need a healer to be really successfull with your tank. I play a sorc healer, a pt dps, a sentinel, a shadow and a jug tank... and I can tell from my own experience that -as a healer: I don't want a tank in dps gear (unless is an assassin, that he can actually kill whoever is trying to kill me) because he just can't handle the damage I'm taking and if he gets focused I basically can't do anything for him... a good tank gets me time enough to heal myself, him and the rest of the group. -as a dps: please bring me a dps geared tank anyday, tank geared players (if good) are a pain in the ***... I hate watching "parry" on my screen! To watch a 1500 railshot is not nice either... -as a tank: if I'm with a healer (usually try to queue with 1) I can promise you will have nightmares with me...I will push you, slow you down, stun you and cc you, I will reduce your damage so much that you will get mad and I will love that... please hate me I god damn love it. My point is, tank is not for everyone, not in this game. If you want to tank, you should not be worried about getting killed, killing people or being able to kill in 1 vs 1. Your main purpose as a tank is to be a real ******e in the wz and do all the dirty stuff that needs to be done in order to win the WZ... and that's why I love my so handsome juggy Just my opinion Cheers
  19. Well my 2 cents as jugger tank... Full tank set... properly mix max, but full tank set. In my ranked team we would not accept a tank that is not a tank. Reasons? Simple: -Full tank geared jugger can reach 26-27 (depending on how much expertise he/she wants to sacrifice) HP... when I pop Endure Pain plus Rakata medpack (not in ranked of course) plus enraged defense... well I heal for ~900 HP points each tick...enough said... A DPS set tank will never reach that (and I reach 38k HP for the duration of endure pain... with my defensive CD's I can hold the enemy team by myself for that time and save my CC's for later so I can get even more time...) -"Useless defensive stats"... that's just not true... why? Well most people properly geared in PvP goes with around 96-97% accuracy on their gear...what means that if I have 30% defense change...well that is reduced to a 66-67%...if you have the accuracy debuff it goes even lower to 60%... you will avoid 40% of the white damage just with your defense rating... About shield rating and absorption rating... well if you stack defense rating you will stack anyway shield rating to a decent amount, once you get enough defense rating if you stack some absorption it will make you more resistant. - I'm not completely sure about this one but I heard that guard damage pass through shield rating...what means that a higher shield/absorption rating will help you to guard your teammates...and if it doesn't well the higher HP will do still more than wearing DPS gear That theory about "there is no White damage" is just no true... Ravage, Railshot, Takedown, Vicious Throw, Trash, Assassinate, Maul, Massacre...even Leap! for god sake there is so much damage that you can still mitigate! Don't be foolish and think that everything in this game is yellow damage, it is not. And if you want to tank, tank, if you want to dps... do dps. That thing about "as a tank I can't kill ****"...well that's because it's not your job... if you want to kill go for dps. As a hybrid might be good in 1 vs 1... in 8 vs 8 maps... meh... you will never kill a good healer and in ranked you will do nothing, because with that gear and spec, you don't do enough damage and you're not tough enough to protect properly. For normal warzones of course it's fun... but just saying that for higher level it's just not as useful as full spec. This doesn't mean that depending on the WZ you can't change in order to add some more dps, of course you can! If you have to defend in Voidstar you go full tank and then if when you have to attack you get some more dps gear and become more aggressive, but in general I would rather go either for dps or tank that mix them...at least from a competitive point of view. I am still waiting an answer from a moderator on this thread... since there is an accusation about hacking, with no proof of it, against an innocent player (that has been identified by the author, name and server) . I don’t think this kind of threads do any good…

First of all, you gave NAME AND SERVER of a player and accused him of hacking without anykind of proof, what tells very little about you. Now let's go to the business. I know Rid pretty well... he is 16 years old and he doesn't even speak English properly and he has very little idea about computers (2 weeks ago he learned what fps are... enough said). However, thing is that he's a damn good player...and he is reaaaally good ninja capping to noobs like you. He has ninja capped the pylons to way better players than you, from Coral, ad victoriam or MVPs and no one of them have ever complained... so I ask you, who the hell are you to point at someone IN PUBLIC and call him cheater? If you had lag or whatever is your damn problem and coming to the forum to blame someone with any proof, again giving name and server, is not the wisest thing to do. Really, L2P and if you're bored, go to some guides about how to don't get ninja capped or something, but seriously stop the nonsense whining.   24. Ok... let's explain it... Rassuro is right, "Buffed AND talented" power will give you a little bit more bonus damage, but aim would give you more crit in exchange... Thing is, if people at least bother watching his guide (quite ok btw, gj) Malkiv DOES NOT GO FOR THE AIM TALENT, so if he uses aim augments he would loose A LOT bonus damage since he doesn't have that extra 6% aim. Funny thing is that he has probably less bonus damage than you guys, but higher crit chance in tech and even higher in burning habilities, so he actually gets crit hits more often than you. So! To conclude, if you go for the aim bonus talent, you should stack aim, if you go for crit bonus in Tactics, you should stack power. Cheers
