  1. recruit pvp gear vendor sells relics for credits that have no alignment restriction
  2. at lvl 3 the effect can occur every 9 seconds and it is a lot better now as it refunds 2 focus when you use overhead slash or plasma brand if it procs and resets the cd on our now hardest hitting ability personally i would take the points from narrowed focus and gather strength for it as zen strike does not rely on outside events (eg. enemy target aoe'ing/snaring/rooting you)
  3. victory or nothing guy > var suthra
  4. it depends how you are spec'd at the current moment vigilance is the class that gets the most out of it due to commanding awe making it add an additional 15% damage reduction, if dps stance this will add enough damage reduction which will make it feel like they are in tank stance, if your intention of using it is for a heal, it is best when used with enure as it will heal way way more but i rather think of it purely for dmg mitigation as the heal isn't that great and is easily out dps'd
  5. saber ward adds 50% defense chance and 25% dmg reduction for tech/force i don't know why people think we are invincible stacking warding call and focused defence, warding call doesn't add damage reduction it reduces damage after reduction at least from my experience, however i will agree we are pretty freaking tanky with everything up, lol
  6. in my opinion assault vanguard has much better dps & burst and has an easier playstyle since everything is instant cast stuff and plays with chance. also you aren't required to build up focus, but rather manage ammo, vigilance dps in boss fights doesn't pick up till the target is below 30% for dispatch crits which is the guardian's hardest hitting ability whilst spec'd in vigilance, of course master strike hits hard too but it requires you to channel in a spot to do it's max damage which some bosses require you to move around i think guardian is able to tank much better than a vanguard when both are in dps specs as the guardian's defensive cooldown is much better as it gives us invincibility for a few seconds + 50% defence chance for 12 seconds on top of having a passive dmg reduction increase (commanding awe) and if really needed you can use focused defense for even more dmg reduction if you're about to die (just remember to taunt after you use it) animation wise, i love guardian animations compared to vanguard, it just seems so much cooler being a jedi doing flips and tricks like master yoda (rofl)
  7. an example: war leader battlemaster weapon used to have more endurance than the rakata tanking weapon, but now it has more expertise but less endurance
  8. battlemaster armor/weapon has had the stats in armoring/hilt reduced to balance the increased expertise
  9. i still hit pretty high in focus spec still do quite a few 5k and 6k's just won't see 7k crits anymore http://i41.tinypic.com/2q853d4.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/qwy49f.jpg master strike's last hit does almost as much dmg as my force sweep and it counts for the warzone scoreboard too as in individual hit, i haven't gotten any screenshots of it though
  10. up the top news & updates > patch notes http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/1.2.0/legacy
  11. vigilance is good since you get shien form which will make focus management for dpsing alot easier along with extra dmg bonus but you also get unremitting which is an awesome pvp passive later on you might want to switch to focus though (lvl40) since you'll have access to the 31 pt talent in the tree as focus tree does better "pvp" (burst) dmg, but also is not that bad for leveling as you will clear normal mobs really fast
  12. have been thinking about this new skill, being allowed to cast while stunned goes well with the vigilance talent defiance (generates focus when stunned/knockdown) and if the below is true... we really shouldn't have many issues generating focus to keep this heal up. if in desperation of focus, there's always combat focus however it will limit any form of "burst" as we will be spending a lot more time generating focus if we save this cd for focused defense but these 10 seconds combined with enure will help minimize the total dmg we recieve from burst unless i am mistaken the average dps guardian will have ~17k hp with enure will have ~22k hp which makes focused defense heal for ~660 hp per sec this will add up to around 6.5k hp total healed, as for a guardian who focus stat on tanking (hp) they usually have around 20k hp so with enure, ~26k hp which will make focused defense heal for ~780 hp per sec which totals to around ~8k hp, this i think makes this a nice heal, especially for the 45 second cd.. however i think the above quote passive should be found lower in the vigilance tree so other specs can benefit from this heal more (specifically defense) as 4 focus is really a lot to spend for the other trees and will force less use of combat focus in order to benefit from this heal when needed i really would have preferred if they added this effect to enure instead... it would make enure oh so much better and would be one less keybind i have to add among my keyboard where half of it if not more is bound to a skill already ;x of course this is all paper work and i haven't tried this new skill myself as i don't have a character on pts
  13. i assume it is to remove the talent in focus tree that makes it uninterruptible to add something else
  14. If you really want to play jedi knight, make a guardian, vigilance spec can fill the roles you want, if the tank dies just switch over to soresu stance and pop saber ward, you should be able to live long enough to get the main tank back up and running again
