I have the DK2 for some time now. Star Wars will run with a virtual desktop open that will wrap the display space around you head, which gives you some 3d effect. Objects which start out in the center move to one side or the other and eventually vanish from view as you move by them. Head tracking works as a camera view (separate from the in game camera that follows the mouse or keyboard input) It is interesting, but obviously without two separately rendered images from two cameras there is no true stereoscopic effect. Also the Rift is 1920x1080 total so only 960x1080 per eye and when the screen is that close the screen door effect is noticeable. You will notice some spatial and temporal distortions like you feet do not move enough to change you position as much as the game does. It looks like you are running on a conveyor belt that moves you faster than your feet are moving you. That said...I try everything I can out on my Rift. There are some real wow moments to be had in VR. We just need the consumer version to come out all turbo'd up with a good display and some industry support to make this happen.
