I am pretty sure they had a good look at WoW's LFG tools and thought that it would be better than what they can offer at launch. Hopefully this will be high on their to-do list in the next couple of months

A great thing about referring back to the good old days is you cant have a reliable and objective grounds of comparison because obviously you cant recreate the exact same moment in those 'good ol' days' Think of it this way : If you went skydiving for the first time, it felt like it's the best thing money can buy. Probably the thing they need to fix with combat is how it feels like ur not hitting anything. Im not sure whether its the sound effects or the graphical effects but it feels 2 dimensional (like skyrim) where it almost feels like ur hitting on a wallpaper of cartoony characters Best example in my personal opinion would be the Lineage series, it has a pronounced 'weight' behind every hit (especially with soulshots and whatnots). I dont know how they does it but it just works.

Agree with OP. This is probably one of the smoothest launch in terms of server stability and such and I am happy with it. As with other parts of the game.....it's just stupid to pass judgment after only a few days of play, and even more stupid to compare it to a 10 yr old mmo

I think it is just idiotic to compare a game that has been in the market for 10 years and a game that has been in the market for less than 10 days. And since most of the posters here do not have ANY idea of what WoW vanilla launch is like way back in 2004, they will never have a valid basis of argument. I wonder if Blizzard forums still keep records of all the s***storm in the threads way back then lol
