  1. +1 This is essentially the main complaint from subscribers (like me) about this system.
  2. In such a model subs should get bonus items and content. IE Newest zones subs only (or unrestricted sub only). Sub only races/classes. Bonus XP, the monthly Cartel Coins etc. I see the argument of such a system discouraging subs yet other games have used, and continue to use it.
  3. One round of dailies more than covers all that crafting and saves loads of time to grind gear/cash on high level planets
  4. Except I can also craft all the orange stuff and still have tokens
  5. You mean the purple lock boxes from the fleet vendor from space rewards cause my ship is fully modded? Yes I buy them. How about when I have a ton of left over tokens from a planet? Yes I buy the purple lock boxes. Or do you mean the credit boxes from slicing missions? Yes I use those too. It's more limiting than it seems
  6. You mean if you want basic game mechanics pay for them. Seriously limited quest rewards for F2P accounts? By far, dumbest idea in an MMO I've ever heard. I expect 90+% of preferred players to not stick around after seeing all the basic stuff that got taken away.
  7. For the record I'm a subscriber. So criticizing me for "not paying for the game" is absolutely pointless. I'm merely voicing a concern about the long term viability of their "subscription solution."
  8. Exactly but as the forums show people are saying these free changes aren't enjoyable. Pretty much undermines the entire purpose of the change. Now granted the vocal people are always the complainers and BW / EA will make more money with this system then they were before. The question is, does the income hit the target? I'm betting not.
  9. Oh don't get me wrong I agree. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Unless they go with a GW2 / NWN type store only model (which they seem completely against). But I think the restrictions they chose though create a very poor environment for growing a new fan base.
  10. If no one continues to play after F2P this model is a failure. The complaints are the restrictions, especially for preferred players, are going to lead to people not subbing. If they felt the game wasn't worth $15 before why would creating an unpleasant game environment change that? The only way this F2P model leads to more subs is if new people, who were turned off by the idea of paying $15 a month decide they like it enough to pay $15. It really doesn't make any sense to me. IMO would have been totally better off with less restrictions and more cartel stuff.
  11. Could not agree more. This F2P model restricts basic game elements in an attempt to revive sub numbers. I expect this to completely fail. IMO using a GW2 / NWN type F2P system with microtrans for cosmetics (hell even XP/Valor boosts would be reasonable to me) would have been a much better long term solution. But this is EA after all, what else should we expect
  12. I was rather disappointed with companions too. Outside of Mako I found the other BH companions to be utterly worthless for leveling as they required too much downtime between fights.
  13. Don't know how Rep ends but the Imp ending for Belsavis was just awesome to watch
  14. I actually hated Voss, more for the story than art work. Quesh & Belsavis were my fav 2
