  1. I enjoy the SWTOR crafting, i never enjoyed it on WoW.
  2. WoW was far buggier, it had classes that were not even finished and huge downtime. Warhammer...You couldnt even install it from the CD they shipped. SWTOR makes the other games look totally amateurish.
  3. No i am fine with the rate of development. Id love to see BW put some serious time into getting rid of the memory issues that seems to plague graphics on certain planets but i am patient enough to wait. They seem dilligent and interested in getting it right.
  4. Too True, the asian/ oceanic area is a massive market and at this stage only populated by us hard cores. Once they actually offer a product...whoa it will be huge.
  5. I dislike an additional stat for the sake of separating gear from PvE and PvP. I would prefer all the gear was the same. That means you can raid with pvp gear if you want to or you can pvp with raid gear if you want to. You can get your gear from doing both, but it means you don't HAVE to grind both to do both. I always much preferred pvp when there were no special stats forcing me to grind pvp, so that i could in fact pvp when i felt like it with out being destroyed. Imo, separating the gear forces you to grind, both game options, thats wrong imo.
  6. I dont have a problem with dual specs, although i do think there should be a cost involved which increases over the period of say a week then rolls back to zero. I dunno why but i am just not comfortable with people switching at a moments notice. There is something negative about it in an RP sense that i dont like.
  7. The zones for a lvl 20 are significantly smaller than the 25+ zones and in reality its no faster to travel around when you have a mount @ 25. The best way to not run around or fly around all over the place is to plan your quests, complete them in an orderly fashion and you will find the amount of travel is quite small, and the opportunity to use quick travel is always there to cut out at least half of a trip.
  8. Yellow mobs are never completely innocent, hence your choice to kill them. I kill them when i think they are up to no good.
  9. yea man what would we do without him.
  10. /applause your comparing a health bar to a threat bar? Kind of shows you dont get it.
  11. its invisible because you are meant to lose agro. You arent meant to know. Its part of the game. Why is that so hard to understand? Its a game, you play for fun. Not an analysis report for you to play whack a mole with.
  12. Why do people need a stat to look at rather than playing the game? Or could it be that you are so used to your 15 mods running everything that you forgot how to look around.
  13. Yes but sampling isnt random at all is it. Thats the point that has been made MANY times.
  14. I dont like special additional stats for PvP...I like to raid, and then use my good gear in pvp as a reward for the time spent.
  15. Just play the game as presented. Its not hard, nothing needs modification at all. You want it. Need and want are too entirely different things.
  16. a large % of people on forums <> a large % of subs. Some people can watch a great movie and hate it, some people think Avatar was a great movie when it was rubbish. People dont always see things the same way.
  17. Dont have a massive issue with a combat log being available. There are valid reasons why its useful. Mods running off them i dont agree with however.
  18. ETS TEH ENGINZE responses are awesome. meanwhile they quietly ponder *** they are repeating and wondering why it doesnt sound quite as good when it comes from them.
  19. Most MMO's have a weekly maintenance. This is when databases are re-indexed shrunk and checked for problems. This cant be done while the application is being used, it will cause massive performance problems. This has nothing to do with bug fixes or content patches. In the case of new MMO's they usually have weekly maintenance that includes code changes and if required some form of downtime in between maintenances either caused by problems with servers, which i note there have been very few or because they are applying a hot fix. Typically the fix is for an important issue or because it missed the previous release. BW haven't exactly been that smart about how they have approached these things. They have on a number of occasions decided to do a hot fix with very short notice, such as what too place last Friday night. They have also advertised a maintenance then at the last minute postponed it after people have not bothered to log in for the evening expecting downtime...only to have that downtime postponed to the next day. These kinds of issues annoy people, i know because i have to deal with them myself on a daily basis as both a customer and a service provider. My advice to BW is, stick strongly to your schedules, hot fix only when its game breaking for a lot of people. Downtime will always effect people, so do it sparingly and for good reason.
  20. "It was a huge success in other MMO's" And yet we are here, playing this game, hoping that we wont ever have to queue a random dungeon ever again.
  21. Actually the entire premise for this thread is wrong. You are saying that the decisions have no bearing on the direction of the quests and that for the majority of them is not the case. Certainly class quests that lead to you getting a companion for instance are rail driven and you can only find a slightly different way to get there. For most other quests however that isnt the case, and your decisions drive who lives or dies, which elements of the story you might avoid or go further into. It determines which mobs you face, and if you resolve the problem through diplomacy, aggression or by subterfuge.
  22. its a forum, not a communicator window or an imessage session.
