  1. Yeah still figuring out priority in execute... might be SS instead of MC.
  2. Shadow http://www.torparse.com/a/695962/4/0/Damage+Dealt 4m 7s - 4042 dps Still need an OH...
  3. Figured it out. I just don't get why variance is so important in a raid. I get that consistent damage is good in a raid... but I don't get why that is better than the best possible average damage. 600 crit = you will do less damage overall. There is no ability a Madness Assassin uses that benefits from more than around 400 crit.
  4. Where did you find this quote? Wondering why variance matters. I was about to post some math for 2.8 Balance - about 230 crit rating is optimal. I have no idea how stacking crit reduces variance though, and how an extra 400 could give it any noticeable difference.
  5. Need a good r.DPS for our NiM progression team. We are 5/5 in DF NiM, about to get it on in DP. Raid times are Wed/Thu 9:30pm ET, with a third night usually Mon night same time. Must have some DF NiM experience, minimum full 180's, capable in multiple specs (Gunnery/Assault, Sharpshooter/Dirty FIghting, etc.), and be able to provide examples of good dummy parses (3.4k +). Contact me or any officer in-game.

  9. This... makes 0 sense. It has nothing to do with long or short term. It involves abilities which respond well to crit rating (Project, Force Breach), as opposed to ones that do not (Thrash, Assasinate, Raze). In fact, if we're considering short-term burst for Madness (Assasinate, Raze... again), 0 crit rating is best. Crit rating isn't helping your burst phases. You need to read Oofalong's guide on Dulfy or something. Looks like you need a lot of help.
  10. You clearly have a lot to learn about algebra. Also, in general, about manners and about being a forum troll/jerk. Anywho, my comment was about 30% crit percentage as Madness (or Decep, really) being too high. Sure, crit is more valuable in pvp, especially Decep... but again, pve or pvp, really high crit like that in Madness is a dps loss... says math. I'd also be willing to bet that 25% crit chance in Decep is way too high, but I'd need to study damage breakdown in an average wz.
  11. Yeah I'm not sure why no one is talking about expected damage. I've done the math before.... I forget most of it, but you don't want a lot of crit. A 30% crit chance (no idea why we're even talking about crit "chance" and not rating) is absurd and a huge dps loss. Crit is entirely overrated for Assasins, especially Madness. When I'm bored I'll post the math again, but crit stops being good for Thrash, for example, at around 200 rating... maybe less. Assasinate is best with 0. I'd be willing to bet that 0 crit is best in pvp, probably close to that in pve. For Deception, optimal level is around 275 rating, that I know for sure (crit blows for Voltaic and Maul). And lol at self-heals, especially in pvp under any situation.

  15. Sleazy's #3 parse shows his old parse... it should be this: Sleazy - Sniper - Lethality - 5/5/36 - 4'29.812 - 3703.65 3/6/14
  16. I've found that it's always best to try things first before making suggestions on how to fix that thing. That might be a good life lesson actually. Aaaanywho, my parsec timers work perfectly with 0 lag.
  17. Yeah dotsmash is certainly useful in raids, although I could see creating a separate section for it... the dummy parses are certainly "exaggerated." Combat performs just as well if not better in most ops situations. But I agree on the Engineering/Saboteur parses, lets just keep those out. I'll retract that Sabo TTK post.
  18. Yeah figured that. Are we doing the same? TBH I'm not sure its as OP as it used to be? Doesn't seem that way anyway... can't imagine hitting 3min 45secs.
  19. Civelle - Gunslinger - Saboteur - 5/36/5 - 4'21.267 - 3825 DPS http://www.torparse.com/a/625556/time/1395466667/1395466928/0/Overview Asking b/c Falv has like a separate section for Sabo, not really sure why.
  20. Are we not counting Saboteur parses? Just wondering....
  21. I'm sure this was covered but... does Saboteur not count?
  22. Civilie - Shadow - Balance - 8/2/36 - 4'52.352 - 3401 DPS TOR: http://www.torparse.com/a/616631/time/1394526678/1394526970/0/Overview
  23. You really prob won't notice much of a difference between 600 and 400 crit, especially on a 5 minute dummy parse. However, in the long term (like in an operations scenario), 600 crit is a dps loss. Clairvoyant Strike is your #1 damage dealer over time and does more damage with a low crit rating. It would be interesting to test a 1.5M dummy, where Spinning Strike becomes more valuable and benefits most from having 0 crit.
  24. Ok so here is the math I'm using, in this case Shadow Strike: 4269 (lower end of tooltip damage rating with 358 crit) x 2.0296 (surge rating of 470, + 30% from proc) = 8664.36 dmg 8664.36 x .3577 (crit rating of 358 + 9% crit from Force Synergy talent bonus active) = 3,099.24 4269 x .6432 (this is your chance of no crit) = 2741.98 3,099.24 + 2,741.98 = 5,841.22 (my average SS hit with 358 crit rating) 4,306 (lower end of tooltip damage rating with 296 crit) x 2.0296 = 8,739.46 8,739.46 x .3475 (crit rating of 296 + 9% from Force Synergy) = 3,036.96 4,306 x .6525 = 2,809.67 3,036.96 + 2,809.67 = 5,846.63 (avg SS hit with 296 crit rating)
  25. Your parses mean absolutely nothing besides the fact that you know your rotation. The difference in average ability damage is so close, you would have to parse hundreds of times to get any real useful data from them. For example, in my current set up, CS hits on average for 2,195.41 damage with 358 crit rating (this includes set bonus crit chance increase as well as Force Synergy bonus). With a 296 rating, CS hits for 2,202.57 damage. The other abilities have similar differences. As you can see, it would take a while to produce significant parse data proving 296 crit rating is better than 358 rating. However... the math is there, practice or not.
