I remember how awesome it was to form neat lines in the pvp area to turn in the orbs. So you guys are saying that there is actually pvp going on in the pve area? Im so there! (lol yeah right, bet the scenario OP described like rarely ever happens) You cant get flagged by AOE and the majority of the quests have nothing to do with pvp. Griefing sucks but some people are way oversensitive about dying in this game.

Im gonna play these new arenas with the passion of 1000 men!

Ranked isnt gonna die because a few guilds are moving to the bastion and 2.4 should make them easier for people to do.

SWEET. Open world PVP here I come! People are mad there's no new rewards lols So far we have been lead to believe that this is the ilum relaunch that we have been waiting for for a year so stop complaining about grinding missions and let the pvp party begin.

I Just started pvping on my lvl 50 shadow again because of the changes in bolster and Im having a lot of fun. Once I re learned how to play it during my second match I immediately noticed how overpowered it seems to be. I play pvp all the time and play with nearly every class but since 2.0 have not noticed a huge buff to any of them (havent played my gunslinger yet but its always been super powerful) so I was kinda amazed at how I immediately felt like the spec was overpowered. I have been playing my concealment spec operative a lot and have actually noticed that it is much better then it was, but the shadow can burst things down easier, has better defense cooldowns and has force speed/knockback. Having find weakness proc on demand using spinning kick or low slash is just perfect, giving so much more control to your burst. Also they buffed battle readiness, making it give you some health and buffed blackout, giving you 25% damage reduction for a short while. The force breach system changed for the worse but it adds a lot of complexity and if it wasnt changed would make the spec crazy powerful so its ok. Have not even gotten our teleport ability yet, coolest ability in the whole game!! We have so many stuns and so many awesome abilities perfect for 1v1 like what i mentiioned plus our defense cooldowns, I know that this spec especially is in a great place right now. My only worry is that its going to get a nerf, but I think they are just gonna nerf the damage overall of all the classes in some way so it wont be to bad.

A while back people were saying how bioware was hiring people in Austin for testing. I am hoping that those new recruits are testing this patch so it can be pushed live without the PTS.

This was actually the experience of most people, at least on the Harbinger. Dont know how this one is gonna turn out of course but in regards to the HK part, the vocal minority on the forums was making it seem wayyy worse then it was in game.

To all the pvp haters out there... just stop because you already lost. There throwing pvp players a bone in this game that is 90% pve and you guys really are freaking out. SEE whats going on here is that its a pvp area that all us pvp'rs have assumed has been getting worked on all this time in preparation of open world pvp. Instead they actually decided to plant an event in the area that is just pvp focused. So it seems like pvp'rs could be mad that they are turning it into a limited time event kinda deal but instead pve'rs are crying even though it is a luxury that it has anything to do with them at all, go figure. This is Star WARS you guys, its cool to have atleast one planet of real fighting going on between the sides rather then the galactic staring contest that is going on between all the static mobs. Other points are pvp is way more popular then op's/FP's so its not the minority at all in anything. And about not rolling on pvp servers well I had no idea that mmorpg pvp was so much fun before playing this game so I choose a pve server and now couldnt possibly go through the pve content for a 10th time to level up someone on a pvp server. Plus no server transfers and I suspect that a lot of people who are into pvp really dont care at all about this argument because they are already on a pvp server, too bad because its so irritating.

So how did the HK quest go for all you guys who cant stand pvp? Because seriously here all the complaining on these forums made me so mad last time because the result on the ground was hugely different then what was said on the forums. Idk if the Harbinger is just filled with gentleman and gentlewoman's but the den was a cakewalk for the majority and the pvp was super avoidable. ANd theres another thing, some particularly nasty people who think that all pvp'rs want to do is harass people by ganking them. Ganking seems real dumb and not fun at all in my opinion, but I never played Wow so I guess I just dont get it. And yes I think your all totally butthurt over an experience in some other game, furthermore I bet a lot of people are turned off to pvp in general because of other mmo's. Idk how someone can hate pvp. If I hadent played the story 10 ttimes now I would probably enjoy it and I still enjoy fp's and Op's which I think are awesome because your doing stuff in a big group. Pvp is better then these 2 combined though and shares elements of both, except for everything is dynamic because you are playing real people. How can someone that loves this game and its story, not have fun taking down a sith on your travels through ilum or whatever? A real sith that isnt standing in one place just waiting for you too strike, someone that you know actually does not want to die instead of a computer. Isnt that PVE really but just with a dynamic element too it? omg so much writing i feel dumb, last thiing I wanna say is that a lot of people have been waiting for a pvp update forever and now that its here all the people who dislike pvp are complaining. What a joke, you have gotten your ops and all that but I have never even been able to experience open world pvp in this game. So back off because we have been waiting.

As Andrew said, its mostly the ability unstoppable. Also I believe that people are so worried by smash that they think they can shrug off a ravage, and that maybe because I am a juggernaut rather then a marauder they dont think its gonna hit very hard.

You should roll a melee class like a jugg or guardian. This is because youre really not forced to keybind anything until you need to stay on someone in melee range I think, like for me I had no idea how important they were before I started pvp'ing on my sentinel(and I was a really good clicker). What I did is just copied someone else's keybinds from these forums and start practicing. Also using ESDF instead of WASD for direction helps a lot in my opinion.

The few episodes I have watched have mostly consisted of exaggerated face-palming/sighing/laughing done by Gary at anything that goes on in this game. I actually like this show because I really like Larry and Justin but it is pretty sad how most of the time Gary acts like bioware and anyone who is still playing this game is in some parallel universe of craziness and the worst part is that Larry and Justin will rarely try to argue anything with him or show any passion for this game. Seriously like I have a picture in my head of most of there convos and its just gary ranting about the dumbest things and larry and justin cocking sideways smiles and saying ehhh. This goes for episodes over the last couple months. A few weeks ago Gary had to tell the audience that yes we are gonna continue doing this show!!! This was because it was completely obvious how much he hated swtor, and that neither larry or justin were actually gonna disagree with anything he said so it was just a sad thing in general.

I will admit that I probably havent 1v1'd super good healers but ravage, especially on a sage is gonna hit just as hard as rage spec's smash plus you get an auto crit force scream almost immediately so I dont think vengeance lacks burst. Also when im totally geared and have more crit, the other 2 instant attacks that can reset the cooldown of ravage will hit for 2.5k+ pretty often. Lol I have a newer laptop and from the start of the game I have had all my graphics settings on the lowest possible, if it gives me better performance then I dont mind. Thank you for the heads up though I didnt even think about that and will turn them up in other recordings for sure.

So many people complain that rage is so overpowered but I would bet that vengeance is better for 1v1's and I often put up the most damage while using it. I have never made a video so its pretty simple but there are some good fights and I think it shows the power of vengeance. Anyway check it out and maybe give vengeance some love on your own character:) Im new to making youtube vids as I said, there is explicit language in the first song and if you read the description there is a way to make it so you can crank up the quality to high if you cant already.

Roll other characters, I would have quit this game long ago if I only had one character to pvp with. Theres so many different play styles in this game, from stealthy dps to healing or ranged turret or melee, having all those options is what keeps it lively for me. And now with all the exp boosts it would be no problem lvling through pvp.

I get my gear through warzones, because I love me some pvp. Dont know what this grind is your talking about

I do about the same damage as I did pre 1.4, but the class is just too easy to play and now theres too many of them cuz all the rauders jumped the perceived fotm instead of speccing carnage. Back in the day only juggs rolled smash spec and thats how it should be I think.

Harbinger has already been spoken for but I just wanna say that Im the kind of player that loves pvp but needs to switch it up often with alts to keep it fresh. For this reason none of my characters have more then a couple pieces of warhero and so I am pretty hesitant to try to get some ranked games going with my guild. After 1.6 we gonna be able to get the good gear easier and I am gonna for sure be playing ranked and I would think more people would start up as well.
