  1. Wow someone is a little sensitive...or simply doesn't understand the concept of sarcasm. I'll try to be more clear in the future when I'm making fun.
  2. What game had a major content patch? I hope you don't consider the 20 minutes of content from the 5.4 update as "major".
  3. Why offer up codes to a few people when clearly this issue affect EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in the game? And a code for a pet certainly isn't going to solve this problem. This is a recurring problem. I'd be happy if they just axed the incompetent people, hired quality developers and testers and did their jobs right. If this kept happening to my development organization you could damn well be sure there would be people looking for jobs afterward.
  4. You're pretty optimistic even assuming the servers will be up by tomorrow for people to log in. At this point I'm not willing to give them that much credit.
  5. Honestly I'd be glad to do the testing if they want to throw a build up on the PTS and let us plug away at it. But Bioware doesn't have the foresight to do that. Nor do they apparently have the talent in house to test a production build before they push it live. How a steaming pile a manure with all these issues could get past their QA team is just simply astonishing. What exactly is "testing" to them? Does it involve logging into the game, or just checking to see if the servers will fire up? This emergency patch wasn't even necessary. There wasn't anything so broken that it couldn't wait for a standard patch cycle and proper level of testing for next week. This was just another in a long line of examples of poor product management, shoddy coding and a complete lack of testing. In short, a poor product. That's what happens when you have a game running in maintenance mode with a skeleton crew and no quality resources dedicated to it from the parent company. Just another nail in the SWTOR coffin. Let it die and give us a real MMO at this point.
  6. You won't get those updates until the users actual beta test it for Bioware like usual.
  7. When can we expect an actual fix to the issue and not have to worry about this every other day?
  8. This is what happens when you move your hosting over to Joe-Bob's hosting because it's cheap. It goes down frequently and you have to wait for the fat 40 year old virgin to get up off the couch and reset the servers in his mothers basement. It wouldn't be so bad if Bioware passed on some of the savings they're getting to the subscribers. But instead we pay full price for a service we can't use, over and over again. It's a joke.
  9. The team has been looking into it for weeks. When can we expect and actual fix and not just someone hitting the reset button every other day when this happens? This isn't what I'm paying for as a subscriber. Which makes me seriously question WHY I'm still a subscriber!
  10. The frequency of this happening is starting to get ridiculous. What's the plan for fixing this moving forward so we don't keep running into it and don't have to keep reporting. Nothing is more frustrated than paying for a service that I can't use because of a recurring problem that the company isn't fixing in a timely manner. What's the point of paying for a service I can't use when I want to use it? I can understand the need for maintenance outages. I can even understand the occasional problem that pops up that has the service down. But when the same issue keeps recurring over and over and there is apparently a simple fix to restore it then it's just negligence on the part of the company to not implement a proper fix to stop the problem from continuing to happen.
  11. Heavy handed forced server mergers are not necessary if you incentivize players to move on their own. Doing so is fairly easy. 1. Allow one free server transfer to all characters from existing servers to target servers only so it is no cost to the player to move. 2. Work with guilds to transfer guild assets from existing low use servers to target servers 3. Provide an opt-in group move option to guild to bring their members over as a whole who opt-in for the transfer 4. Draw a line in the sand for the move and offer an in game per character prize for players on the target server as a reward for being on the mega server 5. After the deadline allow a grace period for self initiated transfers before finally doing a forced transfer. I don't want the fate of my guild left up to heavy handed merger techniques that could decimate it. It's taken a lot of time and effort to grow my guild and acquire the resources it has today. I lost one guild in earlier server mergers, I don't have it in me to loose another. Not after five years of building the one I have now with over two hundred and fifty active members.
  12. It's highly unlikely Bioware will actually do anything to resolve it. This is a known bug that goes back over a year. The "solution" that Bioware has is to wait for a server reboot to resolve the issue. I've had this happen twice to my guildship now and have had to wait up to two weeks for it to be resolved, which is just ridiculous. You'd think they'd spend a little more time addressing significant aging bugs like this and less time ruining the game with horrible gear grind systems that no one wants or needs. But...their priorities rarely align with their players priorities.
  13. Ok Bioware...you win. I give up. I'm not going to continue playing a game that has turned an enjoyable experience into a mindless annoying grind...THEN make it worse by making it harder to do that grind! I hated EVERYTHING about the new system from the start. But I was willing to give it a shot and see how well such a flawed concept could be implemented. In the four days I've been playing it, it's proven to be the disaster I thought it was. A gearing system that is a grind combined with a reliance on an RNG system that is notoriously one sided has proven to be a frustrating waste of time. Now, you've taken that broken even further by reducing the command experience points you are giving. And for no good reason. You have an already established weekly cap which you the developers put in place to prevent exploiting the system. I find it hard to believe that in the four days the expansion has been out that you've determined you've been too generous in your command XP rewards. Or is this just a way to force people to buy the command xp packs when you put them up on the cartel market? Is that really what this is about. A pitiful money grab from a company who has consistently failed to properly monetize a product and a brand that a six year old could turn a profit on. I've been a subscriber since pre-beta. I've maintained a six month subscript plan since they became available. This latest slap in the face has convinced me that Bioware doesn't deserve my money anymore. I won't be renewing my subscription when it's due. Congratulations Bioware, you've turned off yet another loyal subscriber.
  14. My guild flagship appears to have gone missing as well. I've submitted a ticket so we'll see if it gets resolved. If it doesn't come back as it left (fully unlocked and fully decorated) Bioware can keep along with the game. I'll be cancelling my subscription and moving on the greener pastures. We worked too hard to unlock and decorate it to loose it to another stupid bug.
  15. We (The Second Sith Empire) seem to have just lost our guild ship on The Ebon Hawk. What's the trick to getting this back? I assume it will still be fully unlocked when we get it or do we have to unlock the entire thing again? Will it be decorated or do we need to redecorate the entire thing. I'd love to know because if we aren't going to get it back or if we aren't getting it back unlocked I won't be renewing my subscription and I'll be turning the guild over to someone else and giving up the game.
  16. The Second Sith Empire is a seasoned guild founded in the summer of 2012. We host over 270 active players of different play styles and levels. We have a large community of PVE raiders running at least three scheduled raids per week as well as a dedicated group of PVP players running organized play once per week and pickup matches throughout the week. We have an active schedule of weekly events every night of the week from Ops/PVP/RP to community based events such as Trivia and Lottery drawings. We are a consistent top ten finisher of weekly Planetary Conquests with weekly commander hunt events as well as quarterly in game gatherings and parties with prize giveaways for the players. The Second Sith Empire exists to help make the game more enjoyable for our players. Focus on community and cooperation allows us to provide a comfortable, family friendly environment to all casual players regardless of level, race, class or play style. We aren't a die hard raiding guild. But we run a lot of raids, including progression operations. We aren't a die hard PVP guild. But we do run warzones and arenas and we also run scheduled guild PVP including ranked PVP and guild base PVP tournaments with prizes. We aren't a die hard RP guild. But we do offer a structured and a story driven approach to role playing that isn't your common "cantina crawl" style role play. We don't try to cater to everyone, and we certainly don't sell ourselves as the guild for everyone. We try very hard to make the game more accessible to folks who might not normally play all the content available. While at the same time offering a competitive and progressive environment for a more challenging end game experience. What we offer: - Player focused community - Active End Game Content - Regularly scheduled in game PVE/PVP/RP events - Class specific tutorials and leveling help and advice - Private guild web site on our own domain for members - Private Teamspeak 3 voice chat - A structured, professional and respectful guild organization - 10% XP and Reputation Bonus - 6 Vault fully stocked Guild Bank - A team of skilled end game crafters for unique items, relics, jewelry and mods How to Join: Visit us at http://www.thesecondsithempire.com or chat one of our officers up in game: Yum'kimil, Ryakiri, Midyir, Aniant, Stavia, Fazin

  18. Ok, so what gives? What did Bioware break now that is causing a constantly resetting queue when trying to log in to Ebon Hawk. According to the server status on the web site the server load is light. Yeh when I try to log in I'm (a subscriber) placed 40th in queue. Then about a minute later the queue resets and I'm 360th in queue and this keeps repeating. What the hell did you break now? And how long will it be before I can play a game I'm paying for? And when can I expect my prorated refund for services denied?
  19. I can wait for the update. Hell I could honestly care less about the update. I just would like to get into the game and play. Roll back the update and bring it out when it's actually ready for all I care. Just turn the damn servers back on. Why am I paying for a service that I can't use?
  20. I wouldn't expect much in the way of compensation for anyone to be honest. What are they going to do, give us an extra day of early access to beta test for them?
  21. So instead they'd rather take the servers down for the entire day and piss off the few subscribers they still have? That's a brilliant business move there!
  22. Which makes you wonder how something this glaringly obvious and significant was missed during internal system testing. Bioware does do system testing before pushing live right?
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this little discrepancy. The time for testing is BEFORE you push the code to the live servers.
