  1. I unsubbed too. My whole guild unsubbed after the 1.2 debacle, and honestly there is nothing to do anyway. This game has no content, and no population. I'm just riding out my free time they gave me after they realized they ran this game into the ground.
  2. If you saved your comms before 50 and got a couple bm pieces when you hit 50, plus recruit to fill the rest, you'd be sitting at 940ish expertise, which is plenty competitive. The gear is easy to get from there anyway, so I really don't see the gripe.
  3. If you want ranked, there is no way to do that without cross-server. What is the point of ranking, if you don't get to play against all the premades in the game. Being the "best" out of 6-10 specific server premades means absolutely nothing. Being the best out of 1000 premades is a little different.
  4. And I'm sorry, but rail shot doesn't hit for 8k. The biggest burst you'll see will be thermal detonator + a timed rail shot and they happen to crit. The thermal was put on you a couple globals prior and doesn't detonate immediately, allowing them to time out overlapping hits. Also, you'll need to be burning for rail to hit at max damage, so you also took a flame burst or incendiary missile on a prior global as well. Their damage is actually fairly predictable now with the 6 second cooldown on rail shot procs. Before the nerf, if they were lucky with rng, you'd see a rail shot every other cooldown. Now the most you'll see within three globals is two, assuming rail shot was ready, off its regular 12 second cooldown, followed by a proc. After that in a continuous fight, you'll only see rail shot at 6-12 seconds afterwards depending on proc.
  5. No they can't. They are very strong dps, but lets not go overboard here. The aren't going to kill you in 3-4 globals, sorry. Are you pvping without your gear on?
  6. SWG never recovered from epic disasters. The Star Wars title will retain players to a degree, but it alone can't keep a game afloat.
  7. Yeah, this game would too if they merged all the servers down to about 20. EQ was good about merging and is also a very unique hardcore raiding game that I too played for 3 years. Its has its own crowd. The difference is that EQ progression and leveling takes a lot of time and is challenging. That's why people still play. This game is a cupcake console game they converted into an mmo.
  8. Just because you got a good night of pvp doesn't mean the majority of this game's players are suffering. This game is definately crumbling. My friends list has dwindled to nothing, my guild of around 20 people have all quit except me, pvp Q's are longer in general, and there is nothing to do but level alts at this point. At this point I stick around a bit longer just because its Star Wars and the free month. After that, it may be time to move on.
  9. Flame sweep is most likely what he's talking about, and that skill is junk. Its high heat and has virtually no place in our rotation unless you're trying to keep a door from getting capped as a last ditch effort. Powertechs are single target killers for the most part and do have good burst, but if you honestly think that combustible gas cylinder is what's killing you, then you need to analyze whats really going on.
  10. Yeah I wasted my credits on this stuff too, thinking bm mods would carry over.
  11. The Q time increase isn't because of pvp issues, its because everyone has stopped playing this game in general. PvP'ers weren't the only people doing warzones. I came to this game with around 15 people, only 3-4 of them being what I would call true pvper's, but the rest of them gladly pvp'ed with us. All of them have quit in the last month due to having multiple 50's seen the story lines, and virtually no endgame content. A lot of people are simply finished with this game as its very shallow once you're done with all the class stories. I log in to pvp, but I'm about done too. This game lacks the depth in all facets of gameplay that keep people in an mmo.
  12. The pvp still isn't that fast. It went from molasses slow healer/tank, no one dies, stalemates, to medium pace combat where people die. There are much faster ttk mmos out there, don't act like this is that fast. I think its a good balance right now. If you get focus fired by 3-4 people, you SHOULD drop quick. If you're getting dropped by one person really fast, either you are heavily outgeared or just standing there taking it and doing nothing to avoid getting facesmashed. How quickly you guys forget the boring healfests where there would literally be 4-5 kills per team. It was like beating your head against a wall if two multiple healer/tank teams went up against each other. That is no fun whatsoever. It can still be difficult with multiple healers, but at least they are killable now. Multi heal groups in the past were virtually impossible to take down if the healers backed each other up. Why anyone would want to go back to that junk is beyond me. PvP is much better now.
  13. What are you talking about. A one hand wielding toon will have 150 at 46, and 181 at 47. I dual wield class will have 175 expertise at 46, and 206 at 47. I've done this on four different toons so far. The last tier of weapons were not modified either. Some agent weapons never had expertise, but the rest always had it. You only need the enhancement, which you can pull off anything. It doesn't necessarily have to be your classes weapon.
  14. Pvp in the lower brackets is fun, but honestly its trash as well. Arguing its a level playing field is crap. Some classes shine at low levels, other classes mature later, but overall its the 40's v everyone else. I see premade 40's groups all the time... why?... because they have close to full skill sets, better gear, and in the hands of good players will wreck people in the 10's and 20's, even if those players are good. Also, most dedicated pvpers at this point strip expertise out of weapons and put it into their gear once they hit 42/46, plus the pre-order vendor has expertise crystals at lvl47. At that point its just a joke. The lower brackets are far from "fair", despite what anyone says, and can be exploited by 40's premades the same way a WH/BM premade will exploit fresh 50's. My powertech and sorc were godmode in the 40's, and I knew it.
  15. A good marauder will heal the same or outheal a dps sorcs bubbles and offheals with their bleeds. Oh, and not to mention they will be up at the top of damage charts. I'm not saying marauders don't have counters, because they are not the be all end all everyone says they are, but to say they don't have heals is ignorant. A marauder will do a lot of healing if you keep the bleed train rolling.
  16. Tell that to a marauder after a sniper rips him in half.
  17. First educate them "not to quit," then you can begin the winning exercise. You can't win if you unplug Street Fighter halfway through the fight. Good read though.
  18. Considering by saving 2k warzone comms before lvl50 for two battlemaster pieces, and recruit gear... you could be sitting at 940+ expertise the second you hit 50, you are seriously letting yourself and your team down.
  19. Snipers are actually good protection zones for healers as well. Have your healer stand right on top of the sniper. Ambush, discharge, multiple cc's, etc help protect the healer from melee. The sniper may not be mobile, but can act as a bodyguard of sorts to a healer, if they need a protection area from melee. The knockbacks and roots + high burst are great for buying healers extra time.
  20. Anyone that is afraid of "bads" getting gear, questions their own skill. What's the matter? You afraid you can't hang if you don't have a gear advantage? There is no way to have fair pvp unless everyone is in same/similar gear. Anyone that doesn't want that is either lacking confidence, or one of those quitters whenever things get tough. People getting comms faster means the pvp is on even ground as fast as possible. Any real pvp'er should rejoice in this fact. People that want a gear advantage think skill = time played.
  21. Give me a break. I just hit my third 50 tonight(ptech), "fresh 50", as they call it. I saved 2k wz comms, so I got two pieces of battlemaster gear, and every other slot is recruit. My expertise is 943 and came in second, first, and second place in the three lvl50 warzones I did for total damage... averaging 10-12 medals a round. I was able to 1v1 virtually everyone or at the very least give them one heck of a fight. Fresh 50's never had it so easy. My first two toons took time to gear. Now you're instantly competitive at fresh 50 like never before.
  22. I had a huttball win last night where I got 0/0/0/0 as my rewards. I helped yank the ball carriers three times in the endzone and fought along the way, but we won 6-0 pretty fast and I only got my 2.5k hit and my 2.5k heal. So for playing properly and not deathmatching, I get absolutely no reward for winning.
  23. My theory is that they only coded for two digits and can't do over 99.
