  1. I must say I agree with gearing being to easy. I haven't played for the last five days or so just because I feel I have no goal to work for. It is very fun in MMO:s to advance your character progression and you should be able when you log in to startup some kind of "useful"(in gaming context) activity. For me, I have gotten all the columi slots that can be had from FP:s so only raiding is left. PvP is not an option since I absolutely find it horrible in this game compared to, yes you know which game. So basically what I am left with is logging in only to raid. Something which is done on specific times and only a few days a week. I have nothing that I can gain by logging in "on the fly" to just game. What can I do? Send companions on missions? Sell stuff in the auction house? Do a flashpoint for a columi token as a goal which I already have gotten? A new toon doesn't interest me, I like to have one character and keep building on that toon. It was a shame I bought a 2 month gamecard. Would have saved a couple of bucks had I just signed up a 1month sub via creditcard.
  2. Yeah this is needed imo. As a tank I have resorted to "republic targeting device" to mark burn targets. It is the only way at the moment to bind a marker. However it is limited by range unlike the normal markers, also comsumes a global cooldown and have a cooldown for a few seconds as well. It is hard to see aswell since it is very small and often displays under the mobname text. If they do implement binds I just hope they are smart enough to realise to let us hotkey them inside one of the preference menues. All the quickbars are full at 50, there is no room for more abilities clogging them up. Speaking of which they should also let us have more quickbars and give us a "hide" feature. I don't need to see abilites that lack a cooldown.
  3. What I did once I hit 50 was to do dailies for two days or something and shop the AH. Money is very easy to comeby in this game so I would suggest just buying tank gear straight from the AH and go directly into hardmodes(if you research flashpoint boss strats through youtube, otherwise run it once on normal). I had as a goal when fresh 50 to get 40%+ absorb/shield and over 16k hp before I sat my foot in a HM FP. This you can hit with just BoE gear easily. You could go lower on the HP if you are running with a cordinated group. Haven't tried Kaon on normal but did emperor and Illum and the drops where pitifull so once again, buy vastly superior gear from the AH and skip normal diff and go into hardmodes. If you want to gear up quickly that is. edit: about difficulty, I would say HM taral, maelstrom and battle of illum, false emperor are all very easy to pug. If group is uncordinated and bad, kaon, directive7(last fight and bulwark aoe smash people getting caught in it) and Esseles are harder. Esseles is really perhaps the easiest one but only if you have a player in group who understands how to rotate interrupts with you on Ironfist. If you don't have an interrupt order it is best not to run it unless you have strong gear already.
  4. If people are following kill orders you can still make use of the "ranged tank" concept. Just tabbing and using hammershot/rapid shots is often enough to grab the aggro from non attacked targets. Also with Neural Overload talent(50% speed debuff) you can kite mobs around something that is more tricky for other tanks.
  5. Running this build too but have one point moved around to make it 32/8/1. Grabbed the 2 second 50% speed debuff and dropped a point from rocketpunch( or stockstrike in my case). Just -4% kinetic damage(mitigated by armor) so not to bad I feel. The 50% speed debuff makes it possible to tank alot of mobs in flashpoints by kiting which is very nice. Sure it's not really needed since flashpoints are very easy but still one of these fun things to occupy oneself with and spice up the game.
  6. Accuracy do infact affect chance to hit with taunt so it's an important stat that is for sure. However the only cap that is needed to hit as far as I know is 105%. My toon atm is sitting at 109% I believe so it's way above what is needed. It does help somewhat with kite tanking where you are using pretty much only hammershot(non tech attack so needs more then 105%). But would rather get down to 105% and increase my shield and absorb by several percents.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. Great to hear it works. A shame though about the developers making it necessary to do because of poor itemization on their part. Vanguard tank gear have some messed up slots that is for sure.
  8. Ok had a question about the columi tokens that always drops from the last boss in a HM instance. Playing a trooper tank and wearing 4 pieces of columi. The problem is the itemization of these pieces. The enhancement slot in for example my boots is a lvl56 accuracy one which basically makes the boots worse then mastercrafted ones. The stats I need are absorb, shield and defense. Not stacking obscene amounts of accuracy well above the cap. Because of this what I was thinking after looking through jedi tank columi gear is try to get my hands on a columi jedi tank piece since they have very good enhancement slots. Rip out that enhancement and replace the accuracy one in my boots to get my stats somewhat back in order. Have ran alot of HM FPs but can't seem to recollect ever getting a columi token for another class. Was planing to do some runs without a jedi sentinel or guardian now to try and get the enhancement. So just wondering: Can other classes turn in wrong class columi tokens? Also can you freely swap the enhancements in your columi gear without losing the set bonuses? Perhaps stupid questions.

  10. I actually thought it was the server being laggy first. Something felt off and I kept mashing hotkeys even more then before( since the game overall has responsiveness problems with abilities). Was asking about it in chat and someone told me about the change. Would like an option to revert it to the way it was. Would it be much work for bioware to implement a preference option?
  11. Same here, I actually thought it was the server being laggy first. Something felt off and I kept mashing hotkeys even more then before( since the game overall has responsiveness problems with abilities). Was asking about it in chat and someone told me about the change.
  12. I prefer PvE in ToR for two reasons. One is that the way abilities triggers in this game is so incredibly non responsive. Having to press the same key several times before an ability goes of is less frustrating in PvE. Especially since I have alot of hotkeys binded as alt+key, shift+key etc(my logitech mousebuttons don't work in ToR for some reason so had to resort to alot of modifer keys keybind). Having to press those kinds of binds over and over to trigger abilites is very annoying. Two is in WoW which I have played alot of over the years I spent most of my time focusing on a small part of the game. For example in WoW classic before expansions I grinded a PvP titel in the old warlord system. You had to play basically 8 hours a day to keep up and it was the same battlegrounds over and over. I missed alot of other content. So in ToR I know try to do every quest I find, every flashpoint, every raidboss etc. I want to see all the game has to offer. Not just put myself in the same three warzones over and over.
  13. Just finished it on hard. Overall very cool flashpoint that felt to me more like a little minigame aka resident evil or something instead of a dungeon. Only boss that caused a wipe for us was the bonus droidboss that spawns adds. First I tried to tank them but they hit far to hard for that. What we ended up doing was as soon as they spawn dps cc them then I taunt over the lose one that is first to die. As a vanguard it was very easy because with the 50% speed debuff talent on ioncell the add was kitable since the distance at the time of taunt was around 20-30m. Since boss isn't attacked by the dps his aggro stayed on me without me having to attack him at all. Last boss was a letdown to say the least though. It was just tank and spank basically. If i remember correctly one of the bosses enraged but was just a question of moving around.
  14. If I hadn't added a 60 days gamecard code I would probably not had. I try to use my creditcard info as little as possible so when time came to fill in the info to be able to log in I went to a gaming store and got me a prepaid gamecard instead. Since they only sold 60 day cards that what I got. Smart move by them. Have done very little pvp but sofar not liking it, seems like WoW bgs but worse since the ui and responsiveness of the game is much worse. HM FPs are ridicilously easy so bored of them already. Haven't done much raiding except one run on Bonetrasher and Vault on normal. Didn't find the fights very fun. Story same, was fun in the beginning but 10 hours in I just press spacebar. Lost interest. Guess what could keep me ingame is the flist I made. Been tanking for some dudes I got to know, might log in here and there to do some occasional PvE with them.
  15. Alright great tip, thanks for the help. Will wait abit next time until I start to move him away from the center spot. Was worried there wouldn't be enough time if I didn't start moving asap. 30 degree angle will try that too.
