1. *** note, did not read this entire thread, so if there are repeats... *** going by what Darth Bane set down in his "rule of 2", the apprentice was to tear the mantle away from the master ensuring the strongest would survive. Sidiious (and Plageious before him) DID NOT DO THAT! Bane would mop the floor with Sidious.
2. also, Plageious killed his master two in an underhanded way (cave in), not to mention that he was grooming another apprentice to replace Plageious. it's mentioned in that book that not many after Bane and Zannah strictly followed the rule of 2. i agree that Bane would have wiped the floor with Sidious and probably Vader, but Bane's solution came from l\Lord Kaan's "brotherhood" idea. it was (rule of 2) wise at the time, but didn't fully pan out in the end (Vader killing Sidious, then basically being killed in the process).
3. eh, found one at swtow-spy http://www.swtor-spy.com/item-db2/Color_Crystal/
4. does anyone know of a list of all the different crystals with their stats? i'm just wondering if there is anything better that can be made/bought than the one i'm using now...
5. no way sidious is or was the most powerful. according to the rule of two setup by Bane, to claim the title of master, you needed to beat the current master in a battle that would test the master and apprentice to their limits (see the last book in the Bane cycle). sidious killed pleagus in his drunken sleep, and pleagus killed his master in an underhanded way (caused a cave-in that buried him). palp liked to claim he was the most powerful, but he never proved it.
6. first off, Vader, IMO, wasn't a true sith, he's just another fallen Jedi. he never went through the sith training. second, why does everyone think that Sidious is the most powerful sith lord? in TOR's era, many on the dark council would laugh at him. back to the topic... it's in the novels (ROTS at the end especially) that Vader lost most of his powers after Obi-wan defeated him and was put in the suit. Vader pre "the duel", maybe on all, post, forget it, he gets wasted.
7. i think this is something that will need to happen when they start the transfers, but to be more specific, i have toons on 3 different servers, my main and one alt on fatman, and 2 others on different servers. those on the other servers i named the same as my main on fm. i'd like to get all on fatman when the transfers are available (if i can, if not both that at least 1 of them), but i'd have to rename. is this going to be a possiblity? if not, what happens when someone tries to move to a server that has someone already there with the same name?
8. the Bane novels start about 1000 years before ANH. during that time, the sith empire is gone, and Korriban falls to the republic (again, one of the opening chapters in the first Bane books has Kaan and two other top sith on the planet after it is recaptured). no mention of Dromund Kaas anyhere. also the knight errant book gives a look at sith space (and those sith in there are warring family members!) in the Darth Plagueis book (which i highly recommend), it's mentioned that since Bane, there was either 30 or 33 sith lords in the "family tree" (meaning Bane's rule of 2 lineage). another thing mentioned in there is that not all lords stuck to the rule of 2 (Maul was around with Plagueis and sidious.) i want to know 2 things. first, i echo the TC, as what happened to the empire between TOR and Bane. second, i'd like to know all of the sith lords in the bane lineage from him to vader.
