  1. If anyone is still playing the Iokath storyline, I figured out how to defeat the sentinels. This is for the Showdown on Iokath - the part where you are fighting three champion Iokath sentinel droids after Empress Asina uses the superweapon. Be sure to have your BEST companion up before you enter the room. If you die, restart at area and bring out your companion, then head to the location where the map tells you to enter and redo the instance. I was on my Shadow, so I stealthed to the location. Once inside, experiment with the best damage, but the stomp is NOT the best way to kill them. Use all your abilities, but you will probably only get one sentinel down. When you die, revive INSIDE THE ROOM and - when invisible after reviving - put your walker as far from the two remaining sentinels as possible. Hopefully, you will not aggro them and you can use your healing ability to get your health to full. AND your companion should be in the room with you. At least mine was. The heals from her weren't great, but they were better than nothing. She was in there to fight with me against the last two sentinels. If you die again, revive in the room and repeat until the last one is down. This was the only way I was able to defeat the Sentinels and get past this part of the quest. That's my experience, FWIW. May the Force be with you, Arial
  2. Here here! Humorous - the sign at the Ilum orbital station says... ILUM: Go Take It
  3. Okay, this pause/resume thing is just silly...but on the Reddit thread, someone mentioned they hit pause/resume several times and it eventually sped up and finished. Wouldn't ya know it...that worked. W.T.F. Try that.
  4. DOH! I just stumbled on this story and LOVE it! Where are the rest of them? I'd love to get caught up. As an author, I am very impressed with Courtney's writing style. Excellent job at bringing the scene to life without overflowing details. Great connection of emotion with the scene. Lovely work! Looking forward to reading more. 5. LOVE these suggestions!!! Also, I think it would be GREAT if we could put our own books / datapads in our strongholds that tell the stories of our own characters! __________ Arial http://arialburnz.com Author of Hot Scottish Vampires
  6. A silly little idea, but it would be a total crack-up and I would definitely spend the Cartel Coins for it - a mount dance emote. I just imagined my character on the tauntaun mount...two steps to the left, two steps to the right. the tauntaun shakes back and forth while the character does the jazz hands and the tauntaun is smiling while tilting its head left and right...rinse and repeat. I think it would be fun! Could also do some chair dancing in the speeder mounts. Just a suggestion!!! I would totally buy it and my guildies thought it was a great idea - enough to submit...so here I am. LOL Arial Burnz http://www.arialburnz.com
  7. Yes, you're absolutely right, Elly...it's lazy, but from a PROGRAMMING standpoint. It's lazy it wasn't included in the game. I love SWTOR, but it's not perfect and suggestions like this one will help improve game play. Assist is a pretty standard feature in games like this. By the way, thanks for the CONSTRUCTIVE comments, as per the guidelines.
  8. No, that's only a shortcut way to target the target of the tank (or whomever you click on). The "assist" that I believe was mentioned in Thanatosxrs's original post is a true assist. Basically, you target the tank and whatever the tank is hitting, you'll be hitting. The tank can switch targets and you'll still only be hitting what he's hitting. The benefit of this is especially useful for healers who need to do DPS/use basic firing to replenish their energy. For example: My main Pub toon is a Scoundrel. If I'm clicked on the tank, I can heal him, but if I also need to fire off Flurry of Bolts to help build up my energy, I don't have to click on the tank's target. I can just fire and it will hit whatever the tank is hitting and still be targeting the tank. This "target of target" is for the birds! It's a PITA to be DPS and a healer in this game without this simple addition of "ASSIST". PLEASE add it to the game. It can't be that hard, especially if they do it in LOTR and Everquest 2. Obviously it's been done before.
  9. Okay, this is just plain silly. I read what everyone was saying about having it the cargo hold versus on you and all that jazz...I had all the required parts on me. The vendor said I couldn't afford the item. I went down to the cargo hold, put all the pieces from my inventory into the cargo hold, took them all back out of the cargo hold, including the spares, and put them back into my inventory (so I had 6 pieces total). I kept my inventory open after I closed my cargo hold, went back upstairs to the vendor and tried to purchase it one more time. Lo and behold...it worked. However, my husband's character did the same thing...no go. ***? Perhaps I should tell him to do the Hokey Pokey before he tries to purchase? *shakes head*
  10. You ROCK! I hardly noticed that hexagon in the middle of the map. Thank you!!!
  11. Location of the droid: Go to the Imperial Fleet Go to the Mission Departures elevator ("West" elevator, or far left elevator on the Imperial Fleet Map - the elevator icon should be green if you have the quest) Select Interfleet Transport option on the elevator button Go into the Shuttle Bay and take the taxi to the "Zoist Shadow Shuttle" (top transport fleet - oooh and ahhh at the impressive Imperial Fleet) Once at the Zoist Shadow Shuttle, go to the elevator and select "Zoist Shadow Mission Deck" (should have quest icon/triangle) When you come out of the elevator shaft (heh heh...I said shaft), turn RIGHT, then TWO IMMEDIATE LEFTS and you'll be at the entrance into the mission area. MUST BE IN AN OPS GROUP in order to go into this area. I haven't made it past that part, but I'm assuming the droid will be inside the hanger as the quest instructs. Just need to get a group to do the quest.
  12. I would have to agree with you. Although, I'm not fond of a lot of the Cantina tunes. For the most part, the music in the game does indeed fit with the atmosphere John Williams created in the original soundtracks for the movies.
