  1. Bingo. They nerfed a ton of available conquest points without adding back close to that number. Too many conquests objkectives award way too few points for the effort (which is why people used the rep one). Fix that and the rep change isn't as big a deal.
  2. You'll need to start formal eviction procedures for them.
  3. For a new streamer you have the streamer arrogogance already down so you should do well.
  4. So in the recent dev post about upcoming patches is this comment on this issue "I’ll be back later today or early tomorrow with a follow-up post about our internal conversations following your feedback on the Conquest/Rep changes. "
  5. Instead of adding a new command how about just have corpses despawn properly then you don't need to hide them?

  8. I agree and I'm in the category. Well, my account is still here, but I turned off recurring payments I'll wait till after Tuesday to see if it stays that way or not. I still have about 15-20 days left so plenty of time to see the current state of things before deciding.
  9. I was not happy about the changes and did turn off my auto-renew on my subscription (still have 20 days or so to decide if it will stay that way or not). However, I did play with this a lot more last night and do have some feedback., My Instal-60 who is at 65 now and doing alliance stuff. I mainly just worked on heroic 2+, Illum, and some of the initial "take down shield generator" type missions (no heroic SF) and he actually seemed ok and the companion in healing stance was keeping up with him ok. It was very doable, and the biggest issue was it was slower then before and the combat was boring it was taking so long on some mobs. No issues completing stuff. Then I went and played by 32 Sith Marauder using Quinn as companion with around influence 9. Very very different experience. I was on Alderaan and doing Ulgo's revenge quest and trying to defeat Ulgo. Quinn couldn't heal me for crap. I'd get a heal of 100 or so and it basicaly was like I wasn't getting healed at all. Trying to take down Ulgo with quinn is haling mode as an exercise in futility and was basically a solo match. I did finally take him down, but had to put Quinn in DPS mode and play the "DPS Race" which I barely won. Bottom line, Healing stance especially for leveling is so poor as to be useless. So the design objective in the first post of "level content is low difficulty and companion can be in any stance" is NOT working. With all the focus on heroic SF and so forth, let's not lose sight of how well companions do for leveling content

  11. Even if companions are exactly like they were pre-4.0, pre-4.0 if I was having trouble on a boss fight I could go level up a level or two and come back a bit overpowered and beat it. Now with level sync that isn't an option anymore. The combination of level sync + the companion nerf is the real issue here IMO.
  12. Remember the game well. The player housing, towns with mayors, and the best crafting system EVER in an MMO. Then thewy hurt it with the CU and killed it with NGE. Sad way for it to end. Jump to lightspeed was one of the BEST expansions ever.
  13. This. BW claims they had interneal numbers that showed this nerf was needed but this time we have to supply data to see IF any changes are needed? Something doesn't add up here. Where was the data gathering thread to see if this nerf was needed?
  14. Here is what confuses me. I can understand needing to tweak things a bit, but if this nerf is the way they intented companions to work, they missed the mark by 400% with 4.0. That isn't even close to being in the ballpark. How can you miss that badly?
  15. GUess I suck at soloing then and am unsubing... I hope those of you who don't suck at soloing are enough to sustain the game.
  16. Sorry but but I just ran some missions with my level 30 toon and my healer companion was USELESS and I was basically alone for the fight with the elite and got creamed. This isn't just a max level thing but a progression thing.
  17. I tried this change tonight on some of my leveling toons and it is horrible. Just wipped twice on a normal one elite and two henchmen type battle. My healing companion was at almost 100% and my health just kept dropping with almost no help. Crap change. I have a lifetime subscription to LOTRO so I'm going back there and an unsubcribing. Screw this crap.
  18. I think this is my issue. I'v heard the number 25% nerf thrown around and if that is true, that means that in 4.0, BW missed the mark on their "vision" by 400%. That isn't even close. That is in another universe. My cynic in me says they intentionally bufed them to try to get people to come back in the hopes people would stay around after the nerf. Similar to what Blizz did with Death Knights. Real powerful to start and then nerfed to hell weeks later after people came back to try them.
  19. No quests I've seen and even the "old" companion quests are now tied to yoiur progression through the story and not to influence anymore.
  20. I think what they mean is that when you start chapter 10 (or later chapters) you won't be able to use those companions and will just have the new story companions. You can use the terminal companions outside of the story, but not in the story.

  24. Gotcha. for the story missions you are right. For non-story missions you still can't currently use the companion you won't due to the broke terminal so hopefully that will be fixed.
  25. Using old companions in new story is never going to work. That is as designed. The other stuff is likely bugs that hopefully will be fixed tomorrow.
