  1. But 1.3 is going to be at least 2014...

I swear for them to even bring up another patch outside of 1.2 is crazy. Bioware has truely fallen off their rockers dude and officially do not give a **** about putting anything remotely playable together..

    LoL..

1.3.. Where the hell is 1.2 it's only been slated like 3 months now, so I guess 1.3 getting pushed back to 2014 wouldn't be too surprising.

  2. Yeah the legacy abilities are a real downer.

Instead of taking a novel idea and making it great, bioware decided they didn't want to have to put the work into balancing out something as innovative as legacy for pve and pvp and just left it as a gimmick for soloing and leveling alts.

Might be fun for awhile but this isn't what I have come to expect from bioware.

Crazy what they are talking about isn't too different from what Trion was doing with the 'Planar Attunement' leveling. Was in before the game released just like SWTOR, they actually took the time to do something it and not just make it some placeholder thingy for a new skin and some new "mirrored" powers.

It might be basic, but theirs some number game behind how you play with the planar attunement feature..

If Trion can do it.. Bioware should have no excuses in 20-mother****ing 12 to get some **** done that's already been done by someone else...

Of course their interprentation of "copying" World of Warcraft leaves some questions to be asked too..

  3. Previously I had brought up the point about their naming of operation difficulty levels. Long story short, I had said the "normal" mode was misleading and it was giving people false impressions on difficulty and since it was "normal" they were disappointed by the difficulty of the raid and it would lead players to complain about raid difficulty. Seeing as that was the case, they should rename "normal" mode to easy, beginner, or something along those lines. Something that indicates it is not the real difficulty.

They have listened to me and now they are going to change "normal" mode to "story" mode.

    Awesome.

    LoL.... Congratz?

  4. http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1219843p1.html

Have faith guys! BW is historically a great company, and they make some pretty BA games imho.

Give them time, and they WILL address any and all issues. YES, it is a bitter pill to swallow to think that a game is not perfect at launch, and that it may take MONTHS in order to make it perfect, but really, when you take EVERYTHING that goes into game design, balance, and engineering; that is not bad at all.

    Thanks Bioware. Keep it up!

Yea, man I'm glad you are enjoying the game. I didn't fall into the same boat unfortunately and the things that are listed in 1.2 hit on some things, but still miss on the big picture with this game sadly..

All I ask is that you don't use the "give them time" line when trying to defend these guys.. They've had PLENTY of time... and taking even more time after pushing the patch back again..

They never gave the impression in these 1.2 videos from weeks ago about the patch being behind and having to be released later.. And they knew then, just as much as they know now about how that patch was going..

    *le sigh*..

Their deception tactics are becoming a *********** bore.. Hit one of your *********** deadlines for goodness sake..

Stop hamming this people for their money Bioware and own up to getting your **** fixed.. In a timely manner.. or just stop charging them for real..

  5. WoW took 6 years to get to here!.

SWTOR have 2 months. Things are looking for the game.... what do you make of that WoW fanboys :)

I'd at least wait until your patch actually hit and was working. You're not really telling the WoW people anything special I don't think.

You should just focus on what SWTOR is doing, if you are enjoying the game. You're just giving them ammo do diss the game with. The fact that the patch got moved back (again) is another sore spot on this game.

A patch that's way needed, but keeps getting pushed back becuase of (incompetance/deception) on Biowares part..

    Simple as that..

  6. I didn't know it had a release date before that

The release for 1.2 has been set for March since the game released pretty much. 1.2 was being talked about 2 or 3 weeks after the game released and it was always set for March, them pushing it back to April is no surprise..

People will just keep chasing the carrot whereever Bioware chooses to wave it. Yea your patch is coming out, 1.2 will come sooner or later..

It's ****ed up though that they've never hinted it would not be in March, they always said March. The fact that they never said any date in March (Beginning or End) was just more fuel for the fire for the people that do have doubts on the performance of this game and the people running it.

So.. Now the 1.2 Jesus patch that has been slated to hit in March for the last 2 months has been pushed back to April.. (LoL, I know Biodrones I know, I'm just kicking dirt in their faces).

I just want Bioware to keep it real and stop trying to decieve the playerbase behind their shady tactics. I'm sure everyone wants them to be a bit more honest with their approaches, instead of putting out all these advertisements and info like they are truely on track with their game.

They get no props for telling me about a Patch that is to hit.. Tired of hearing promises, time to see action.. No ********..

  7. just bought this new computer to play Tor on. what you guys think?

HP dv6-6c35dx Pavilion is a multi-purpose laptop that’s delivers performance you might expect from a high-end laptops. These entertainment notebook has a 15.6″ HD LED BrightView display (1366 x 768) supported by AMD Radeon HD 6620G discrete-class graphics with up to 3061MB total video memory, there’s also an HDMI output for connection to an HDTV. This sleek and stylish laptop has a durable brushed aluminum finish in dark umber.

This laptops includes exclusive features like HP TrueVision HD low-light webcam, Beats Audio with quad speakers and HP CoolSense technology, plus HP SimplePass fingerprint reader for extra security

now just waiting for it to install and update.

Too bad this game won't really give you an idea on the power of your new top. GW2 or Skyrim might give you the pazaa youre looking for right now..

  8. You can find the information right here!

That's a start Bioware, test the stuff you guys are working on. Like Mass test the ****, don't have *** it. You need to stretch out to as many playeres as possible when regarding 1.2 and testing.

I think it's cool you have them right there in Austin, will they be testing at your facilities or is it just region thing youre doing online?

Either its a better move than whats been going on. Make sure you'll test it on the different systems these people will likely have. People who want to play the game want their bugfixes, exploit fixes, content, and most important performance issues resolved as best as they can be.

They don't want excuses or explanations on how difficult it is to find the problems. Simply they just want.. RESULTS.

  9. Yes, it is pretty appalling to push transfers back until late April. I wonder why they are doing this - are they still trying to figure out how transfers work? lol

I imagine whenever Bioware says something is coming out in a certain month that you should assume its going to be late in that month. They want to bleed you out complete every month before giving you what you want/need.

I mean they've been talking this 1.2 patch **** since the game *********** dropped my dude. For real, like 1.2 talk started maybe 2 weeks after the games official release. To me that says the knew of the mirade of problems that this game had. The flaws in Illum are just inexcuseable and the area was not play tested what so ever man..

That's a complete embrassment to MMO's and World PvP, definately will be marked in the hitory of what NOT do do with your World PvP. Thank Bioware for setting that benchmark if anything.

Now how they hyped up 1.2 and haven't stopped its really ****ed up that they are really releasing the patch closer to April. Since you wont be touching 1.2 till what Mid to late March maybe?

So that's another month of subbing they got out of you with the promise of fixing your concerns in a patch that isn't even on the PTS and is due up this month.

1.2 Went from being a patch about content and updating end-content and has now formed into a full out fix everything Jesus Patch. 1.2 is a *********** joke dude. Unsubscribe for the month of March so that you aren't hit again in Arpil..

Make them show you the money behind all the hype of 1.2. If it's not up to par anyway, the acceptance of what Bioware is trying to preach should be null in void.

  10. To every single guy/gal in the world of SWTOR who wants to leave the game...

GO with a full heart and my blessing. I'll still be playing this GLORIOUS game long after your chosen username is dust on the canvas of history. And I don't want your stuff.

How long is not long after?

  11. /duck

Sorry to hear you didn't have the fun you were looking for.. I'm sure the Biodrones will rip you a new one now and throw your opinions to the wind..

You maybe should've typed this better to avoid some of the lower community from trolling your post, but oh well..

Better luck somewhere else man, don't blame ya for leaving.

  12. Now that would be funny. Not making fun of the OP or anything because I've done this before, lol. Buy something, didn't close the vendor window and wanted to equip the item, but instead I sell it back to the vendor. All you can do is laugh it off.

Yea, have done it myself, worst part about it.. Even if you sell back while the window is still open you won't be refunded your full purchase cost. That's kinda "meh" to me..

I'm cool with making mistakes and being stuck with something, but not when you catch it right away and are unable to refund even with the window still open from the transaction. This could be fixed I hope..

But yea he probably resold it back to the vendor and since he didn't get a full refund he didn't notice it... Sucks but it does happen..

  13. Simply put, this game happens on planets, where it's much more detailed than in space.

    Plus, it's Online.

If you knew how much processing it takes for a graphic engine online, then you might understand why it's not meeting your expectations. Still, the engine's graphics are much better than say, WoW.

(I'M TALKING ABOUT GRAPHICS, LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT THE PROBLEMS, OK?)

About customizing the interior of your ship... sounds like a great idea.

And bounties? Might be a good idea also, but that might be a class-only side quest... if you know what I mean... You're on to something here.

Class dailies. Yup. Something like it. You get Class token to get Class specific gear or some other stuff according to your class. Might be sweet.

Not tryna to bash you in particular but I'm sorry SWTOR's graphics are not all really all that nice. DCUO has some real good textures and you're able to dye things to custom colors and mitch-match as you want for the most part.

The enviroments in SWTOR are pretty lifeless too, when compared to something like Rift that has alot of vibrant colours, the world around you doesn't seem to be made out of cardboard and actually have some symbiant representation of being alive..

SWTOR just doesn't do this, all you have is the shallow sound of your speeder as your rail-guided to the next zone, if you're not 50 because then you never EVER have to leave FLEET and after the Illum "fix" goes in, they'll be even less reason to leave fleet once you hit 50 as Illum would have broken off and sunk into the depths of hell where it belongs.

  14. You can't leave EVE for SWTOR it just can't be done.. Unless you are truely and utterly done with EVE online. I don't see the pro's outweighing the con's on this one I'm sorry..

EVE is smashing SWTOR when it comes down to it. It's a real MMO has killer Economy and top-notch pvp for the hardcore. A sandbox if there was one, SWTOR just doesn't compete past their cutscenes and voiceovers.

But more power to you I guess, I just wouldn't sell all your stuff or try to rip off your coporation before you leave. You'll be back there before you know it..

  15. Players affected by a Damage Over Time ability are no longer interrupted when interacting with objectives.

Are you kidding me? This is particularly helpful when you are solo defending and want to delay cap because your team is half way across the map... BW can't be serious. This doesn't make any sense. What is the reasoning for doing this....

Here is the RIGHT WAY TO DO THIS:::::

The right way would have been to have dots interrupt cap until the person is ALIVE, but once the person is dead the dots wear off.

damage from a alive player should stop cap even if i take off my shorts and fart in your direction for 1 hp damage or atleast slow.

Damage from my previous death should not still occur.. same effect can be seen on stealth classes sometimes that can't stealth after respawn for some reason be cause they are sitll in combat???

I got to say this is a good change. The dots in the game are insta cast on alot of them and so many classes have them its hard to get to work only on when a person dies, because you can have more than one dot on you and it can be from multiple players.

Removing the interupt on the interactions is good, you can still hit the person with regular abilities and they can still be hit by you ranges and AOE's so please don't act like this is truly game breaking for you.

AOE's abilities are key on the maps like Voidstar and Civil War, I see this as a positive change to the system. Now they just got to make sure it actually works and I can give them full credit for the change.

  16. I’m just testing the waters here to see what everyone else thinks of Star Wars so far.

I bought the game 2 days after Christmas and levelled up to 38 before getting bored and hating most of the features available to us. A few friends then started playing and lured me back onto it so i took my character up to 50. Sadly this was the worst mistake i made as it’s killed the game for me. PVP is poorly designed, Ilum looks like it was created by someone with no gaming experience what so ever, the warzones are based around being 1 class (anything with forceleap, Huttball takes zero skill when the carrier simply leaps to the end and scores. Please for the love of god give it a 2 minute cooldown and also a line of sight function), flashpoints are repetitive/easy even when in the wrong gear.. and the list goes on. To sum it up, it feels like we are playing a broken / unfinished game....almost as if we are beta testing SWTOR for EA and Bioware. Why are we paying for a sh*t game that doesn’t work and isn’t fun?

Having given every credit i had to another player, i swallowed my pride and bravely re-subbed my world of warcraft account and decided to give that another go. I stopped playing wow as after 3 years of play, my character had everything there was to get, almost all titles, achievements and so forth. This was an amazingly bad experience. Warcraft as it is now is the worst online game imaginable, no question about it! It is truly horrible and an absolute disaster of what was once an amazing gaming experience. The game has been nerfed into the ground for the kiddies out there who find the game too challenging.

Perhaps its me getting too old for games here at the grand old age of 26 :F. Now my gripe is, what on earth do i play instead of Star Wars and Warcraft? im so used to returning from work and logging into a game with lots of fun things to work towards, so am struggling to find another game i can commit to. Does anybody have any suggestions other than perhaps waiting for Diablo 3?

One final thing, no trolling. I am genuinly cirious how other people view the game and genre at this point.

Don't take whats about to happen to you personally...

  17. And Blizz spent 13+ years and the GNP of 2 small 3rd world countries to develop it's turkey. You want a hot apple pie with that? Sweetie, I'm well aware of the year....though I'm mildly creeped out by the sweetie bit given odds are you're a random guy who's probably younger than me. Funnily enough, I never insisted that you compare this game to any other. Though I love how your entire arguement is based on hyperbole...but apparently I'm the "fanboi." I'm am happy you went back to WoW though, good for you. Why are you still posting if you hate the game so much you left?

Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, this game was never targeted towards you?

    Three Hundred Million...

  18. They can't. They already blamed it on all the players. Even if they go back now and say it was their fault

.they will lose credibility as developers and respect of the players they wrongly blamed. They already official said it isn't them at all.

That's so funny, cause it still won't stop them from flipping the script.

Don't you remember the cancel subscription button going M.I.A right after release, exactly on the day of resubscribing and now Bioware on PSN ME3 stuff. If they don't do these things out of pure incompentance then surely it is spawned from genuine cowardice and greed...

  19. I'd only use it to find out if they fixed anything. I already know what this game is about as far as gameplay and what would be to expected in most areas. The real problem with me playing this game is fixing issues that need to be fixed. Although I would still be locked behind the limitations that SWTOR has an MMO with the instancing and rail-guided system in the design.

It would be nice to have the chance to see if they can really fix things. I wouldn't pay a damn dime to come find out though, so it would take a free trial. 3-5 days even.. lol...
