  1. And every 28 days she should just start shocking you for no reason.
  2. My response refuting her reasons for joining and her affiliation with the Jedi Order and Code would derail this thread so suffice to say, "Yes!" Because LS Jaesa is boring; hot and boring are a bad combo.
  3. LS Jaesa has always had DS battle comments. There never was a time to my knowledge that she wasn't saying "Their pain is exquisite" or some other wonderfully evil OoC utterance that made me wish I'd gone dark.
  4. This would be a great way to have ended the Taris world quest with Thana attacking Ashara and both spouting philosophy back and forth at each other while the SI watches and waits to determine which he throws his hat in with. The only problem is that Thana is a World quest-line NPC and not a Class quest NPC so her prominence is not significant to the SI story line specifically. She's just a well written and memorable NPC.
  5. There is no in-game advantage at this time. The companion story ends at marriage and they even stop talking to you. It's almost a disappointing as real life. It's likely that marriage will alter the companion stories as expansions occur. Spouses will likely become a liability (kidnapped and used against you by enemies, fits of jealous rage, ostracized by Jedi/Sith rules mongers... midnight planet runs for Hoth Ice Cream and Jawa BBQ, etc.) but should also provide some story line benefits as well (new quests/mission for all the above scenarios). I would like to see married spouses change their anchor location on the ship. Say I marry Jaesa, why is she still hanging out in the med-bay? She ought to be hanging out in the Captain's chambers in a teddy with cocktails and a bullwhip
  6. While we're at it, I want to be able to use my jet pack to HALO drop in on planets and bypass the docking station. Blizz can park the ship for me while I'm gone.
  7. If this is what you're referring to, I'm not sure it truly counts as disturbing. I guess I really should have added spoiler tags around it because that is the content of the conversation.
  8. I can't disagree. I probably wouldn't have killed her if I'd been allowed to keep her. I'm only DS 3 at level 45 but I like Ashara for more than just the battlefield and bedroom. I wish she'd shut-up about the Jedi and her teachings of course but I think of her story as occurring within the first week to a month of her joining us while the SI story itself plays out over a year or more. I think her character has great potential and I guess I'm reading what could be into what is in order to placate my disappointment. I've said it before, maybe even in this thread; I see her story as incomplete not broken. Let's take an inventory of our companions shall we? Khem Val - Force eater inhabited by the Betrayer. Kind of like having a pet lion possessed by a demon. Andronikus - A pirate with authority issues with no love for Empire or Republic Ashara - Delusional fallen Jedi that doesn't realize she's fallen yet. Talos - Uptight stick in the mud but at least he can throw a heal or two. Xalek - A Sith-ling that will eventually grow to kill us? (I don't have him yet) Looking at our line-up whether you're DS or LS we have only two companions we can count on NOT to kill us in our sleep; Talos and Ashara - though Andronikus makes more sense with more affection. Ashara isn't really the most nonsensical companion we've been given. She's not even the most annoying. If I understood Khem when he talks in battle, I'd be yelling at my screen with him too. He's such a whiner! Talos needs a freaking herald to announce his presence every time I ask him to craft something. "You resigned your commission!" And Andronikus actually flirts with my male SI by telling him I'll miss him whenever I dismiss him. "Dude, I'm open minded but please just go fly the ship." I'm all for choice and being able to pick companions. I even sympathize with the DS plight of no other love interest and I even grant the laziness of the writing that is her origin story. But taken as a whole, is she really that bad?
  9. Zash's voice occasionally saying things in battle would be very immersive. Khem saying things back would be even better. Zash - "Well done apprentice." Khem - "You cannot trust her little Sith." Zash - "Let me show you how to do things old school." Khem - "Your time has come and gone old witch." Zash - "This Dashade body is wonderful. I think I'm going to like it here." Khem - "I will enjoy eating you witch!" As well as basic battle utterances and putting her into the right-click rotation. Little details like this would be very enjoyable. It would probably make me want to take Khem off the ship again too.
  10. The only sure fire way i can think of would be to roll DS all the way up to Jaesa then start rolling LS while gifting the heck out of her cause she won't like the roll reversal. Also learn the diplomacy crew skill to keep your LS/DS ratio pretty low but still dark and then spend all the extra credits on getting your LS up after you've got her. Other than the ability to romance her I'm not sure the desire to be LS with DS Jaesa. With everything I've seen about DS Jaesa, she is the antithesis to your LS Sith. When you turn her she just wants to watch the galaxy burn and then have an orgy on the ashes. Either roll a full blown dagnasty evil SW or marry Vette until they make LS Jaesa take off the nun's habit.
  11. She's not bugged but you won't be able to marry her before you get Jaesa. Her story is tied to yours so you probably won't have anymore interaction with her until Chapter 2 when Jaesa joins you. Then you'll walk onto the ship and she'll have three or four conversations in a row with you. The same thing will happen again toward the end of Chapter 2 where for no apparent reason she just stops talking to you and opens right back up at the start of Chapter 3. It's here that you will be able to get the marriage options. The reason for the lack of conversation is that one is supposed to converse in a natural manner for the character you have in your head and the companions are supposed to react positively and negatively. The gift system is to make up for major negative hits and the conversations with the companions are supposed to occur naturally over the course of their time with you up to level 50. Getting maximum affection in each convo should not occur naturally and therefore these dead times would not happen but the conversations would also be spread out further. From my understanding of the forums, if you are trying to marry both then you need to build both of their affections to max and do not talk to Jaesa after the intro until you complete the Vette story around level 45 or so; well into Chapter 3. (You can probably get away with a few conversations with Jaesa but once the romance starts you better stop) When you're married you can begin the romance with the other without conflict (Just like in real life ). If you talk to both and begin the romance with Jaesa before marrying Vette you will be confronted at some point to choose and Vette's not into a threesome .
  12. Actual character development does appear to be lacking but this is for all characters, not just SW. ME2 might be a rarity in that the way you play has a dramatic effect on the outcome. SWToR has us mostly on rails. We start out taking orders from one guy and end by taking orders from another and our decisions have only minor impact upon the story itself and none upon the outcome This is the drawback of having eight class story lines and the need to give everyone equal footing at level 50. It's a necessary sacrifice to allow all classes to remain viable throughout levelling and at end game. Of course arguments can be made that my toon would not have backed down from this fight, or given that guy a ride on his ship, or would have tried to seduce the hot alien on Wolf 359, etc. But in the end we are not actually writing the story for our character. We are playing a role in a play rather than in a RPG because our lines have all been written for us. Try telling your class quest giver to "Stuff it! I'll make my own way through the galaxy." And see how far you get. But before you complain too much about the writing consider this; Once you marry your ship love interest they stop talking to you. Kudos to BW for the most realistic protrayal of marriage I've ever seen.
  13. Vette still has the shock collar lying around somewhere, and considering the whining Quinn does about her, I still say the best option is to slap the collar on him and then institute an infinite loop conversation where you can shock him over and over and over... And if I'd rolled a female toon I'd strap the thing to his pants and shock him over and over and over...
  14. Yes, but if you recall he looked very ungainly wielding it. Honestly, no sensory feedback from anything it goes through? How do you tell where the thing is in relation to yourself? One small flick of the wrist equals a 6 foot smoldering gash in whatever happens to be in the way. Just moments before Luke had slashed through ice mere inches from his toes. Would a normal human have the stones/skill to simply swing away like that? What if you're holding it upside-down when you light it? What it you drop it and it doesn't turn off? Would you want to be the one that has to retrieve a lit saber rolling around on the floor? I wouldn't want to be within 20 feet of it. Now think of the instructor that has to deal with all these contingencies and no force powers to simply reach out and turn it off with a thought. Sure, Luke just lights it up and starts waving it around like Nerf toy in IV. And honestly, Obi Wan probably should have force yanked it from his hands and told him it wasn't a toy. But, we'll suspend disbelief and say his lineage made it feel natural in his hands.
  15. I've been playing a LS BH and will admit that Mako had some influence on my earlier decisions. My problem isn't the personality they've given her, it's that it doesn't evolve with the story. I'm on Belsavis right now with a 10000000 credit bounty on my head issued by the Republic and when I trash talk the Republic accepting a quest I get the -2 rebuke from her. I just wanted to shout "Look lady! Don't for one second think this bounty on my head doesn't extend to the crew as accessories too." And wished for a second BH so I could Punish her. *SLAP* Instead, she wants me to be strictly professional and not take it personally that I now have every BH in the galaxy looking for me and whole planets lining up to cash in on me because I did my job. I'm not a bad person but I take offense when someone threatens my life and lively-hood, and by extension hers... "So deal Miss Huggybear." That and the Gault intro irk me a bit, and I'll probably hate Skadge more later too. BLizz is at least fun. Otherwise, I like Mako the most of all my characters' companion love interests... to the point that I think she's too good for my BH. Vette's fun but too much 'little sister', LS Jaesa took a vow of chastity, DS Jaesa is scary, and Ashara is schizo, but great in the sack. I'm looking forward to running the rest and comparing notes. With all that said, you must accept that at the very least Mako's story is complete and reasonable for her signing on to be with you and sticking around no matter your alignment. For the most part her personality suits her and her position. She's the only companion I have thus far in the game that makes absolute sense for her devotion. Most of the rest I don't understand why they don't abandon ship, kill me in my sleep, mutiny or shoot me in the back on the battlefield at some time or another. "Oh, here. Take this trinket." "Ooh! Me love me long time!" Huh?
  16. There are likely some specific choices that can be made to insure the outcome but without spoilers go with what's already been said and kill EVERYONE you get the chance to. P.S. Light side Jaesa sucks. Thank the force my LS Jug likes leku. But I've a DS Marauder on standby.
  17. True. But I wish I'd known what I was getting because neither option is really sitting with me at this point. I've read/seen all the DS Jaesa spoilers and not certain I'd be happier with pure dagnasty evil ready to go all Sharon Stone on me anymore than I'm happy with the flower child pacifist carrying a double bladed light saber talking about the exquisite nature of their pain. My LS SW was honorable and didn't kill people that posed no threat to him. LS Jaesa shows up and now it's a hippy love fest without the love. This is a future wishlist, not a things-I-wish-had-been-changed-in-current-game wishlist. It would have been better but would have taken much more time so I understand why only your first companion was expanded upon in this manner. For future expansions I'd like to see ALL companions get some quality time off the ship where we explore various aspects of their past and current lives. Right? Maybe it would require a continuation of the tattoo scheme all the way down but even just a shading of the base white would be nicer than the green knit body sock they have now. And this is not just for the dancer/slave outfits. There are some very nice midriff/short-sleeve medium armor outfits in game that are ruined by her current texture. If fleshed out to her full potential, I see Ashara being one of the most satisfying companions in the game, even if her origin story for becoming your companion falls extremely flat.
  18. Not trolling, but unless you're being an absolute prat to her it's not hard to miss. The first opportunity you get to compliment her, stroke her ego or flirt should be very obvious and she's falls for it hook, line and sinker. She's almost easier to bed than Lachris on Balmorra who probably has close to a million subscribers by now.
  19. I was playing my Jug last night with LS Jaesa by my side and she REALLY got on my nerves. Every conversation option to boast of my power or put down the Republic, even slightly, and I get the disapproving -2 affection or worse. There was actually one quest I took last night that Jaesa gave negative affection for even accepting it, no matter which of the acceptance options I took (kill them all or I'm better then anything they've got) so I used my punish on her. For all the flaws in her story; the disappointing lead up, the lack of turning or reasons for her joining, etc., at least Ashara let's my SI be powerful and express it. She also has very little love for the Republic, which works for me. Ashara wishlist: Sith conversion (DS and LS but Sith: Anti-Jedi/Anti-Republic none the less) Further exploration of lineage Companion quests where we travel somewhere and leave the ship More Mods Full body texture so we can put her in the dancer outfit Please add to this if you don't want to push her out the airlock.
  20. I think we're misunderstanding each other. I'm referring to Jaesa post companionship. She had a definite arc before she joined my crew. After that it's been fairly lame. I vote for Ashara at this point since the LS Jaesa story line ends in the friend talk and seems to conclude. Ashara at least has room to grow given good writing and expansions. I can't even read between the lines in a vain attempt to find sexual tension with LS Jaesa. It's like I have a brooding nun on board who just happens to be HOT in the slave girl outfit. I was being snide but I was venting my frustration with the above mentioned nun. It's poorly thought out and badly written from a DS point of view but the Ashara romance story line is available. If you're honestly asking if I'd prefer to romance Jaesa light side (no action there) or Ashara dark side (delusional but available) I'll take Ashara every time. Even delusional Ashara is better then Ashara the blood thirsty trollop running through every space port with every male she can find before settling on you.
  21. LOVE IT! That might make it tolerable at least. That and an infinitely repeatable dialogue that you can do with him where you can just stand there and shock his butt over and over and over.... I'm gearing Vette for this fight anyway. She deserves a chance to kill the big guy.
  22. Expose him, skewer him and throw him out the airlock. And the horded companion gifts I gave him. I want those back too. My toon's LS5 and I still feel this way. I'll even take 1000 DS points to do it. Guess it could be worse. I could've run a female toon and married him before this scene.
  23. This sums it up for me too. I've got a Marauder sitting on Korriban just in case I want to run DS and explore the Jaesa romance but everything I've seen leads me to think I wouldn't be attracted to her DS character, personally. And I'm not willing to RP in an effort to see a story I might not want to see played out let alone spend weeks or months of my life. LS Jaesa has the opportunity to be a truly compelling and gratifying character to explore romantically. Because of the exposition/fade-to-black/result nature of her (and all other companion) story, it is extremely one-sided and fairly uninteresting but the woman might not be. And the toon is sexy as soon as she joins you. I know we already have LS Vette to be with, and don't get me wrong, I love Vette. She's my favorite companion on the battlefield just because her in game dialogue is fun. The Mod I have on her is beautiful and she's been crafted with a great waify figure which I'm typically attracted to IRL, but the spark really isn't there yet. I've flirted with her, let her know how lucky I'd be to be with her but... I know the little sister thing is over used but it's true. She was given to us as a slave; caught and defenseless. She's been through some major tragedies in her time with us and it almost feels like I'm taking advantage if I say I want to be with her. I've even escaped out of the Marriage Proposal conversation and put talking to her on my ship on pause just because I do care. Odd that a game can make one feel so conflicted. I guess BW did something right for all the accusing of whining we hear from trollers.
  24. Everything else in your post, yes. But I have to disagree with the above. She's exactly the type of character a DS SI would want to romance specifically because she's the character she is. Bringing her to him personally is the first step in bringing her to the darkside totally. Taking all this into account is why I say that the character story is incomplete. We should be seeing a psychotic break in action with this character but we're stuck in the denial phase. She's clutching to her old identity like a life preserver as the waters of reality seek to drag her under. LS SI would have the option to help her hold onto her identity whereas DS SI would have the option to further show her the hypocrisy and injustice of the Jedi Order and Republlic, explore her evil family heritage and show her the "true meaning of power." I'd like to see these stories play out all the way to where she's an enfeebled quivering mass in the corner of my medbay to bring her back to life in the light or dark as I choose. That would be the story line that shows the manipulative nature of the SI.
