  1. Having played wow for over 6 years and being glad season 3 and 5, all macros do is just make your life easier. They would destroy the feel of this game to be honest. And it's amazing that you are even using the fact that you need macros and comparing it arenas, when there are no arenas in this game anyways lol. As much as I liked macros in wow, they became needed for high level play because EVERYONE was using them which basically gave them an edge and if you didn't have them then you had no chance. Right now everyone is on a level playing field. You are either good at your class/game or you are not. What macros would you even need in this game anyway for Rated WZ's.

    TL;DR

anyways long story short. people who complain about macros just want the game easier for them. but it doesnt really matter since bioware has stated they are coming. Just giving some feedback from someone who has actually used them for years.

What the hell, are you talking about?

"The people who complain about macros just want the game easier for them"!!!

It's other way around, the people who wants the macros wants the game easier for them because

they lack skills to play without them ( they became to much addicted to them) / or they are just lazy (mostly the 1st one)

You know, if BW going to make a macros, there will be 1/3 of SWTOR population would quit, cause it's theirs 1st MMO.

Believe me that will happen, if macro will be implemented. The most people on my server I know (I know almost all people on my server. Rep side, around 100 out of 160.), they didn't play the games like WoW or any other MMO before.

I personally too I didn't play WoW long, it totaly sucks for me.

I didn't liked it, I won't ever like it, it feels total grind for me.

THE MACRO WILL SUCK A BUNCH!!!

  2. Hey.

The macros are already used by many people in SWTOR, my friend has a Razer mouse, which can make Macros.

I tried playing with macros in SWTOR with his Razer mouse, but it just kill the fun of SWTOR.

If BW implements macro system in SWTOR, it would just kill the fun, you wouldn't need any skills, you just press 1 button and the game does everything for you.

I personally would just never played the PVP again, or even quit SWTOR, if they implement macro in SWTOR, cause everyone would just do the same thing.

You would just press the "x" button and the system does all the moves for you, it would be Macro+EQ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Skills+EQ

(while > is how big would be the advantage).

In my opinion BW shouldn't implement Macro into SWTOR.

  3. Hey.

BW can you please Fix the Resolve Bar, because it doesn't work for me.

I just got stunned on the fire in the Huttball while my resolve bar were already full.

I also noticed that I can't stun the Imps when they have full resolve bar (that what the resolve bar is for),

but they can still stun me when my resolve bar is full. The same with the knocback, they can knockback me when my bar is completly full, but I can't knockback them when theirs resolve bar is full (I'm playing Jedi Shadow).

So I would be really really grateful, if you could fix the Resolve Bar, also because of that the game-play is unbalanced.

    With Regards

    Xibbias

  4. Marauders will faceroll any class out there 1v1 with one exception... The tank Assassin. The Assassin is not as good at killing healers, or mercs/commandos but they do win a 1v1 with a marauder assuming they're tank specced with a shield out.

A Marauder that thinks they're squishy isn't using their cooldowns well. They're extremely strong, but they do take more button binds by 15% or so. So if you don't like a lot of buttons to press an Assassin might be good just for that reason.

Here is a Marauder pvp video to give you an idea of the style.

    '

The Video you posted is a Senitnel probaly already BM geared, fighting with guys that aren't even full Centurion geared at that time.

Don't refer to that video, yep the guy is good player, but his fighting people that aren't good geared.

I have Jedi Shadow and Sentinel, both lvl 50.

    Jedi Shadow

Inflitration spec. which I made myself, it works quite good for me.

I own healers, even when fighting 1 vs 2 (Mercs too), I own tank, expect some Assasins, I own other DPS, both ranged and melee (well 1 vs 1 with Marauder are hard, but only with the DoT speced ones, the Burst ones are easy).

If your playing Assasins/Shadow, your advantage are the CC's, there are around 5 cc's that Shadows/Assasins have, that are usable vs. players. It' around 20 seconds of CC's, it jsut piss people off, also to mention the Exit Combat ability, which you can use when people pops they buffs, if your out of cc's, you just use the Exit Combat, and wait to when the guys is out of buffs. Then you just attack him, and pop yours buffs if they aren't on cd.

You own the guy in 8 seconds.

Macros are ****, human brain works better, in combat you have to adjust, think what your enemy will do.

Jedi Sentinel isn't any worse if played well (usually see like 3 of 10 Marauders/Sentinels that can stand up to my Shadow)

But sentinels if played well, you also can own, when Shadow eneters the combat, see if he use the ability to block dmg (he then glows Assasin blue/purple, Shadow glows yellow), if he does, then he won't be able to exit the combat if you put a DoT on him, cause he will automatic re-enter combat, (that's why I hate fighting the DoT Sentinels/Marauders). Then you just kill him, if he pops his buffs, (from nowehere he starts hitting for 3k-6k, you use Force Camo, and wait 15 seconds, then go again, and pound him.

I have already lvled 4 characters lvl 50, u just need to know the system, and adjust.

  5. Hey.

I finally heard the song: Duel of the Fates, on my 3rd Alt, before that I didn't even heard it once, on my Alts which I lvled to lvl 50.

Link to the song "Duel of The Fates"

SWTOR needs more music, classic background. BW you said that there is 5 hours of music, but In my opinion, you still didn't used the Songs from the Movies, please consider doing it. :o

  6. Hey.

Shadows are actually more strategical than Sentinels, you have to plan what your doing, or else your done for.

1- Shadows have good burst DPS, survivability, and flexibility to move out of combat and not to die.

Shadows depend on their stealth, buffs and CC, without these you won't be able to defeat your opponents

But if your losing, you can exit the combat any time with the ability that let you do that, but cooldown on it is 2 minutes.

2- Sentinels have better dmg overall than Shadows, but you must choose beetween survivability or flexibility, you don't have both.

Sentinels have better chances in situations like 2 vs 1, becuase they do better dmg overall than Shadows, because they don't depend on their buffs or cc'es to do the dmg like the Shadows does.

Also for Sentinel you must choose beetwen the ability to exit the combat and burst dmg like shadows, or the ability to survive and DoT dmg.

I have both the Shadow and Sentine, levels 50. I have fun playing with both of them.

In PVP I make more dmg in overall WZ with Sentinel from around 300k to 500k or more.

With Shadows which is more strategical and depended on stealth, buff and cc, I make like from 200k to 350k dmg max.

Sentinel is more straight ahead and Shadow is more hiding.

  7. Hi.

This post is about how Alacrity, if it also affect the Opening of things, not just the spells (If I'm mistaken, then I'm sorry, but it just looks like that), and I just think that is stupid.

I think that it's stupid, because, I went on the Unusual Egg spawn,

and when the Egg spawned the Sage/Sorc took the Egg, even though they began the interaction later than others, and it actually happened countless of times.

I have the ping of 30-70 MS, and no lags. Good Graphics.

So I just want to say if Alacrity affects the interaction with things, then it should be immediately corrected, because it's not fair to other classes.

Like I wrote before that when the Egg spawns, I or other people couldn't take the Egg, because we think that Sorc/Sage were much faster, and began the interaction later than us.

  8. I would like to know the secret to this because I am lost at how this is possible.

Well, I don't the dailies on Corellia and etc.

I can still make up to 1-4 millions in 1 week.

But to make so much cash, you have to at least have 2 characters and 1 of them lvl 400 Crew Skills, 2nd should have gathering skills on lvl 400 .

1st character should have all Crew Skills 400 and take Crew Skills which you need:

    F.example:

Crafting skill: Artifice, needs Gathering skills: Archaeology and Treasure Hunting

then on your 2nd character should have a skills that help the Gathering skills of 1st character

    F.example:

Slicing, you get Discovery Missions from it, you can get 3x or 4x the amount the material you normal get.

I will not tell you what's the best options to make profit, cause it's actually easy to figure it out, if you see all the Crew Skills, and the material you get from them.

I figured it out the second I saw info of every Crew Skill on internet.

  9. In my opinion BW, should make an option of Legacy EXP, for each lvl of your Legacy, you get some amount of Legacy EXP, which could be used to buy Legacy things.

If you don't want to wait for your next level EXP, you could buy these Legacy things with credits.

But still 5 millions for GTN is to much, 1 million for repair droid which probably doesn't repair for free is too much, 2 million for Speed Boost is to much.

They should reduce the price by 50% to 60% of some things not all, Social things cost properly, dummies too, but GTN whohoho .

I actually bought both dummies , all Social things, and a Zebrak race.

Before patch 1.2, I bough 1 white crystal for 2,5 milion, from like 6 millions I have 20k left, just like my friends.

But I also think it's kind of stupid that you can buy some of these Legacy things only for Credits, well you can unlock some of them, but not the GTN and so on.

So they should have made an option like Legacy EXP which I mentioned before, or something of that kind.

Also who with Legacy lvl 8 would be able to buy the Power Boost, I think no one.

Legacy lvl 8 is like a new 50, which 400k Credits on his account, not 10 millions, most of people spent they cash on things like White crystal before patch 1.2, Mounts which been removed from the game, so they don't have cash like before the patch 1.2.

  10. It's lore-breaking. It's ugly. It breaks immersion. It's a step towards rainbow lightsabers. It requires a whole new implementation to balance in since color crystals exist with stats, and taking out the hilt, or another slot will imbalance the weapon. For what you ask? For something that doesn't even make sense. It will just take away from other features that are coming, and that could exist within the universe (or sit well with SW fans).

In fact, a thread like this had existed many times., and in that regard I will not be returning here. Bye bye.

Seems that you got more offended then me, sorry buddy :).

  11. I wasn't trolling, I was pointing out how sometimes even someone that comes up with a bad idea can be made to see & agree that it was bad.

However, I will respect your request. I will no longer be nice to you from now on.

If you really meant it like that, then I apologize to you.

Because I'm not actually quite knowledgeable about the Trolling, or whatever it's called.

I thought you mean something rude with the sentence you wrote before.

    I apologize.

  12. It doesn't conform to canon, nor would I want to see this. Interesting idea and all, but would you really want to see someone running around with a green and orange saberstaff? Saberstaves have one color crystal and its power crystals. When a saber staff is cut in half it renders the bulk of one side nonoperational.

Though it is unclear, there are several ways to explain why you can't have a multicolored saberstaff.

    1. No one in their right mind would do that, because it looks ridiculous and other force users would think you're a joke (in the star wars galaxy of course) In star wars canon, color is a symbol of who you are and skill.
    2. Saberstaves are split beam, the color crystal is closer to the center and provides the color for both sides while the power crystals extend outward in both directions.
    3. The mixing of more then two color crystals could have unexplained side effects, cause issues or imbalance in the weapon. Sabers are very tuned to its user in harmony, and imbalance like this could cause chaos in the user, and their ability to wield it.

There are SOME saberstaves that are in a sense just two sabers you can snap together at the end to make a saberstaff. So I guess you could do that, but still, pretty ridiculous. I'd rather see the option of players being able to choose their weapon preference first before seeing this type of color changing.

Yep, I'm in agreement with you.

You gave me complete reasons why a Double-Lightsaber shouldn't be 2 colored.

I can't "undermine" your comment, cause I think you got it totally right.

You can actually say, that I waited for someone to provide this type of answer for me.

Because other were just wrote things I could easily "undermine" (well expect the history of Double Bladed Lightsaber), and you provided a comment, which I don't have possibility to "undermine".

Well expect what you said, that if the Double-Bladed Lightsaber, would be 2 separate lightsabers.

But that's that, this is this.

It's seems the thread reached its conclusion, thanks guys for writing yours opinions.

  13. Well I don't mean it like you will have to get 2 White color crystals to have a double bladed white lighsaber.

If you don't want to use Offhand Crystal spot, you don't have to, if you had before a white crystal in your Color Crystal spot, you will still have the Double bladed white lighsaber.

But when you only put another crystal in the Offhand Crystal slot, then your 2nd blade get another color if you put a Offhand crystal thats other colored than the one you have in your Main slot.

So people wouldn't have a problem to have double bladed white lighsaber, they just need to use the Main slot for the Color Crystal, put the White Crystal there, your 1st and 2nd blades are white, but when you put a Blue Offhand Crystal in the 2nd spot which is empty, then the 2nd blade gets blue, but the 1st blade stay white. So your Double-Lighsaber will be White-Blue, if you then decide that you liked the White Double-Lighsaber, then you just have to take out the Offhand crystal.

Also there still will be the Augment slot, because the Offhand Color Crystal don't have any stats.

You also wrote that you don't know if there would be enough space for slots, that's why I wrote before that you can replace the Augment slot when you expectional craft with the Second Color Crystal slot, so BW wouldn't have to make special crystals, well they can just copy the ones they made, and remove the stats from them, so its not so much work. But that's not the point, I wrote that you would have 2nd Color Crystal spot instead of Augment slot, cause I thought the same, if BW would be able to make so many slot in the Double-Lighsaber. Well the stats diffrence between Augment and the Color Crystal the same level is about +3 stats difference.

    So to summary:

    1. You could have 1 colored db-lighsaber or put 2nd Crystal in the Offhand slot, and have 2 colored db-lighsaber. The Offhand slot wouldn't affect the Db-Lighsaber, if you wouldn't have Offhand Crystal put in the Offhand Slot.

    2. My 1st idea were to just replace the Augment slot when you exceptional craft with the 2nd Color Crystal slot, and you would have levels on the Color Crystals, or

    3. You can just make Offhand crystals that are available from different levels, but they still don't have any stats on them, ans you would still get the Augment slot, because the Offhand crystal don't five any.

  14. I think this idea is terrible. No offense.

    i agree.

    bioware would have to add:

low level/low cost saber crystal colors for all current/future colors. this alone has its own implications, since atleast in my opinion, not all saber colors should be available at level 1.

add the slot itself to all double bladed sabers. fair bit of database/tech work (assuming you can even program that many slots to an item).

then proceed to listen to many many complaints such as "assassins/shadows are punished because they have to pay/keep bagspace/etc for an additional crystal", "why cant we get more stats from just putting another crystal in there?", "bioware red/blue double sabers are breaking my immersion" etc.

again, seems like a fair bit of extra work for very little gain.

    1. You didn't even say why it's terrible, why I would be even offended.

    2.

    Well.

The craft of Double-Lighsaber is only avaiable from lvl 400 Arifice, and you need the Special Alloy Crystal for it now and be lvl 49 at least to use that Double-Lighsaber, you can only get it from Raids and HM FP (lvl 50).

Well it will change tho in patch 1.2, because then the Alloy Crystal will be freely trade-able, but you still need to be lvl 49 to have a craft-able Double-Lighsaber, and lvl 400 Artifice.

And there shouldn't be a problem with programing 1 more slot for a Offhand Color Crystal.

Also you don't need levels on Offhand Crystals, because they don't have any stats on them, so you only get Offhand crystals that can be use by any lvl, so there wouldn't be a Offhand crystal lvl 1, and lvl 50. Just Offhand Crystals that are your able to put into the Offhand Crystal slot, without any stats on them.

  15. Why not make the second color purely cosmetic. No stats just color.

Yep, I also just thought about it.

A Offslot Color Crystal or something like that. You don't get any stats for it.

But then also, when you craft exceptional Double Lighsaber, you get a Offhand slot for a Offhand Color Crystal without stats, and a Augment slot, cause if you won't get an Augment slot, if 2nd crystal don't have stats. Then the Shadow/Assasin will be at disadvantage.

  16. yeah, and that only really works for 1/2 the classes. besides the fact that we dont need more excuses for stats, or even for optimization of them thanks to how the dr system works, there is also the fact that too much lightshow, especially in groups, is a bad thing. there is a fairly fine line between "cool" and OMG OMG MY EYES!" that many other games suffer from, and this one is already coming close to.

overall, sure, its nice to think about, but there isnt a way to improve the game from your suggestion.

Well actually, I were just commenting what ELECTRICJUDGMENT said. I only made this thread to get an opinion of what would people think of the Color Crystal instead Augment for the Double-Lighsaber.

  17. mechanics wise 28 of a stat (soon to be 10 end+18 of a stat) is very different from 41+ power/crit/end. to actually balance it you would need to nerf the innate force power granted by the hilt to make up for it. in otherwords a ton of work for little gain.

I don' think that is big problem, BW can easily make Augments little more powerful. Like +3 to 5 stats more.

If you would compare lvl 22 Purple Augument have stat +28 (lvl48), (lvl 47) Color Crystals have stats +31 that isn't so big difference.

If you then want to compare the best Color Crystals in the SWTOR, that are +41 stat (lvl50, cost around 0,6 to 2,5 million), then Aguments lvl 50 should also have stats around +39 (I don't know if BW made any Augments lvl 50 yet).

  18. Well, I just can say that it definitely would look cool.

I won't quarrel with people, if they don't want to have the double crystals in Double Lighrsaber instead of the Augment.

Well also like you wrote before, I thought about it like 2 separate lightsabers put together.

If it would be like that why not to make possibility to have 2 Color Crystals instead of Augment slot when you craft it.

I just thought about it, so I made a thread about this.

If the majority don't like the idea, then it's just a "No" to this idea then.

I don't like to force people to say "yes" to idea they don't like.

But I still would like to hear some more opinions.

    Cheers Xib

  19. Double bladed lightsabers only use one crystal according to the lore. I can't even recall if someone has tried to use 2. However, even if that had been succesfully done, i doubt it would work in SWTOR. Because, the technology for double bladed lightsabers were first used during the Great Sith War, which ended at 3,996 BBY (battle before yavin). And SWTOR is taking place at approximately 3,643 BBY. So, as you can see there has only been about 350 years since the discovery of double bladed lightsabers, and it wasn't until 137 ABY (after battle of yavin) that the blade was longer than that of a standard lightsaber, and thus maybe even better. So it took several thousands of years just to extend the blade, so i really really don't think it would be possible to just discover how to use 2 crystals in one lightsaber the few hundred years from the discovery of the blade and until SWTOR takes place ;)

Well if you say it like that, seems I don't stand a chance :p.

But like I wrote before, If it's a Double-Lighsaber made of 2 separate Lighsabers, then I think that woulnd't be a problem.

Well, thanks for your opinions guys.

But I will still wait for some more opinions.

  20. If you read onward though a double bladed saber, isn't just a single hilt its pretty much just two lightsabers put together to make a single hilt. Also...they weren't split, they were cut in half. Maul's got his cut in half while fighting Obi-Wan, Satele fighting Malgus.

So there shouldn't be much problem, if these are two different sabres put in together to

    make a single Double-Lighsaber.

So you just get 2nd Color Crystal slot (you get second slot, not 2 more slots) instead of Augment slot, when you get a Exceptional craft.

And, yes it was cut in half, your right.

  21. Also, I read that:

"The double-bladed lightsaber—also called a Saberstaff, Lightsaber Lance, Doublesaber, Lightstaff, or the Sith lightsaber, was a specialized type of lightsaber that consisted of a single hilt emitting two separate blades at opposing angles, resulting in a long, staff-like weapon."

And also in the Star Wars Movie, and in the Trailer I saw that a Double-Lighsaber can be split. An example, when Satele Shan split her Double-lighsaber on the Trailer of SWTOR.
