  1. Hi everyone, thanks for your help in advance! My combat sentinel just reached 55 recently, yay! So far I haven't had any opportunity to run HM TFB for the underworld relic (no team would want a freshie anyway ), nor run enough SM operations to have a chance on the Arkanian Serendipitous Assault Relic. But I have enough Basic Comms to get one Arkanian Relic - which one should I get? Thanks!
  2. I am a scoundrel and I did use combat cloak the first time I was lost. Is the game punishing me for doing that?! Well anyway, thanks very much for letting me know. And have a great day!
  3. Hi everyone, thanks for your help in advance! During a recent HM S&V Dash'roode fight, I got "lost" back to back! And of course, during my 2nd excursion to the deep desert, the personal shield was on cool down. Needless to say, I didn't survive the 2nd "lost". So any ideas to stay alive in this case?
  4. There are plenty of great cutscenes throughout SWTOR. And I would really like to see some of them again, for example, the last cutscene of the Makeb missions with Shalim Avesta and the Supreme Chancellor on Keylander Station. That particular ending was so cinematic like a Star Wars movie. Anyway, is there a way to see/select various cutscenes that you have experienced already? If not, would this be possible in the future?
  5. Golly! Thanks so much for the tip, Khak and Nibbon! Now I won't be so embarrassed when the raid group uses a DPS meter.
  6. Hello there expert balance sages! My problem is this - after all 6 tentacles are down during the 2nd phase (platforms phase) of TFB, it is time to burn down TFB directly! Yay! But my FIB centering cursor is gray-out because I can't see the ground to cast FIB! The platforms are just too high off the ground, probably. Anyway, since FIB is a major part of a balance rotation, how do I cast FIB during the TFB boss-burn phase? Thanks so much for your help!
  7. Hello fellow sentinels! I am leveling up a sentinel, currently at level 42. Lately I find the gold-star enemies harder to beat, and need to start using my defensive abilities better. Right now I have 3 - Guarded by the force, Rebuke, Pacify My question is - "is there a best way to use each of these defensive abilities?" For example, jump into gold-star enemy, start with Pacify? Then after that wears off, then Rebuke? Then after that Guarded by the Force? At what health should I use Guarded by the force? I also have Unity & Heroic Moment of course and know when to use those. But I try not to use Heroic Moment too often since the cool-down is 20 min! I might forget about other defensive abilities too, and in that case, please let me know. Thanks for your help!
  8. OK good. It is not just me then!
  9. I am not a new player yet I feel my question belongs here... So I have 2 Level 55 characters and both have completed the Rise of the Hutt Cartel missions on Makeb. The interesting thing is... (*) For one, the character loading screen is just "Interlude" and summarizes what happened after your class story ended (around level 50). The same old stuff. (*) But for the other one, the character loading screen has more "Interlude - War of Destinies" and summarizes the aftermath of finishing Rise of the Hutt Cartel. New stuff referring to what took place on Makeb. This is not a complaint. Just curious about the two different loading screens.
  10. Wow thanks for lots of useful info Azaranth! I usually put 2 SRMP on the two tanks and 2 on myself (not for heals but for upper-hands). Maybe that is not as good as your way. So do you put just 1 SRMP on everyone on the team? And then just repeat and repeat until some bigger healing is necessary (like UWM, KP, KC)? Sometimes during furious healing, I might not have enough time to refresh SRMP for everyone though.
  11. OK thanks so much for the great advice Elbmuh!
  12. Hi everyone! I am in PVE OPS, and I have a Dread Guard Relic of Boundless Age that is on-use (clickable) which gives extra power (350?) for 30 sec and a 2min cool down. In 2.0, we also have the new Pugnacity which someone has mentioned acts like an on-use Alacrity relic with a 2min cool down also - but the good thing is this does not share cool down with my Boundless Age relic. So during the most intense healing, I will activate both Pugnacity and my Power Relic. My question then is, for less intense healing but more than the usual routine healing, which ability, the Pugnacity or the Power Relic, gives you more heals? And probably what type of heals go well with each? Thanks for your help!
  13. Ok. Thanks for your help! Ah, the color subtleties to fool noobs like me I will look more carefully later on for the "left color".
  14. Hi, I am crafting yellow-color gears (level 52 green augments since they are cheap to craft) but don't get increase in crafting skill levels - stuck at 425. Could anyone help please, thanks!
  15. Hi everyone, Before 2.0, I used to put 2 points into Containment in the balance tree since I very much like the instant force lift (I only do PVE). Now 2.0 Containment is no longer instant. A disappointment. Does any full balance sage still find Containment useful? If not, I was thinking of switching the 2 talent points to Mind Ward to decrease DOT's instead. Any advice from you good kind wise sages?
  16. OK thanks for the info Zunayson! Now I don't have to worry about checking for that energy regeneration ability!
  17. OK thanks so much for your replies! So is there anything we could do now to increase energy regeneration, like the pre-2.0 pugnacity?
  18. Hi everyone, Before 2.0, I used to just popped Pugnacity whenever I could. And the pugnacity cooldown didn't feel too long. Now, pugnacity has a 2 min cooldown (it just seems longer than the old cooldown). Should I just use Pugnacity as often as possible still? Or should I save pugnacity to use during very intense healing (say in an Ops boss fight)? Thanks much for your help!
  19. Hi everyone, Right now, we could purchase various black-hole gears with black-hole comms at the black-hole/campaign vendors at fleet. I heard that the black-hole/campaign vendors will be gone at 2.0, to be replaced by a "generic" classic vendor? And that some of the gears available at the BH/Camp vendors now (e.g. campaign armorings) won't be at 2.0. So if you want to gear up an alt, should you buy/customize all the black-hole pieces now, before 2.0 begins? Or just get the campaign armorings so you'll get the set bonus? Thanks for your help!
  20. Well I read someone complaining about carebears doing something on this forum. So, what is a carebear?
  21. Hi fellow wise sages... Since alacrity will be more useful in the 2.0 expansion (faster energy regeneration and lower GCD), should full balance sages spend 2 points to increase alacrity? Thanks so much for your help!
  22. Hey good luck as you level your sentinel Scooger! Just post here if you have any question that we could help answer.
  23. Hello! Here are a few options... 1) Get the Cybertech crafting skill (along with Scavenging and Underworld Trading). Then as you explore and do your missions, gather up scavenging materials and send your companions to collect underworld materials, you could begin to craft green level armoring and mods, then reverse-engineering them to learn blue level armoring and mods which you could install into your orange gears (head, chest, legs, gloves, etc). This is difficult in the beginning since you have few companions to send to gather underworld materials to craft blue level stuff. And reverse-engineering could be frustrating due to bad luck. And you have to buy orange gears to begin! 2) If you are rich in credits, buy the gears from GTN. 3) This is probably the easiest, find and join a good guild! There you should be able to ask higher level guildies to craft stuff for ya! A good way to find guilds is to look in the Server Forum (e.g. The Harbinger, Red Eclipse, etc) on the community tab on SWTOR.com. The guild recruitment and ads are at the top of the page. Hope this is somewhat helpful!
