Hey guys. I'm making this post to inquire as to why my guardian, when I'm leveling (currently lvl 29 on Alderaan) dies as much as he does. I honestly have trouble fighting a group of normal mobs, often either dying or falling to sub 10% health. Could it be my rotation, is there a skill I'm not using, or what? What should I be doing?

I'm not going to repeat the obvious stock response of "MMOs for PC only noob lol" but it's true--this game was specifically designed for the PC. A game like DC Universe Online worked really well on a console, but it was designed with such gameplay in mind. You only need a certain number of buttons for it.

It isn't like it's going to be going on for another month...only about another week. Why complain? And for the record, I very much enjoy this event.

Bioware: The current number one game developer?

are you kidding me? valve is amazing. cheesy generic shooters? I can't even have this discussion with you if you aren't even willing to concede that valve is a fantastic dev. -

no. off the top of my head: valve, rockstar, rocksteady, naughty dog. -
Auto Assigned loot in EV/KP normal mode?
dhoytman replied to Galvatron's topic in General Discussion
I like this feature for straight-up pugs but if you're with a guild you should have the option of overriding it. Sometimes it assigns completely wrongly role-wise. -
1.2 Mod/Enhancement/Armour/Crystal, Cost's to Remove.

reluctantly I'll enter the flame war to say that as someone who usually can't play more than an hour or two a day during the week, credits can be hard to come by. when I can play I don't often want to grind out dailies. edit: so, on topic, I too would like to see the cost of removing end-game mods lowered a bit with the advent of 1.2--even if I do have to go to a mod station to do it. -
The thing that really bugs me is that all three tiers of armor are essentially the exact same but with color changes. Takes some of the excitement out of getting new gear once you've already got your Tionese set. Although, as an agent, I do like that the final set (Rakata) isn't some goofy color.

I think I read in one of the dev trackers that they're making RN more top-heavy--more group heals quick.

more urgent than server merges is some way to encourage population balance, e.g. give republic characters an experience boost or something. as I mentioned before, empire side doesn't have any problems w/ population on naddist rebels. republic, however, does.

At peak hours the population on Naddist Rebels isn't too bad. Definitely doesn't take "hours" for PvP WZ matches to pop. More like two minutes. Sometimes hard to find a PUG for HMs in the middle of the day on a weekday but of course that's far from peak hours.

what are you asking? what's a let? if you're asking if there are orange upgradeable medium armors, then the answer is yes, of course. why wouldn't there be? if your class uses medium armor you should be getting pieces as quest rewards.

So i dont pay 8.99 to stand on the fleet all day? is there...

well you are playing an MMO that just launched two months ago. you powered through the content and now you have a few options: continue to pvp on your main, help guildies get geared, level an alt and get him geared, or just quit. it's not that difficult. -
remember when mmo groups had more than 3 functions?

ffxi was great in this regard. more recently, but to a lesser extent, dc universe online had an extra role (controller) which made things a bit more interesting. pretty much a bard role. -
Text based MMOs are dead. SW:TOR killed them.
dhoytman replied to BCBull's topic in General Discussion
I think that there's a balance to be had in future MMOs--SWTOR overdoes it (for now) with the voice acting. My opinion remains that not every superfluous little sidequest needs a conversation for exposition. A regular quest window would work just fine. On the other hand, in flashpoints and in class quests I think that the conversations fit nicely.
