  1. Actually, I think Bioware are trying to help us by targeting the most dangerous person nearby. Forget the guy directly in front of you, its the guy BEHIND you that you need to worry about.... Oh no wait, its just bad coding. /sigh. On a serious note, it seems like its selecting in a conal direction from the cameras point of view, and not your toon (hence why it likes selecting people behind you, if they are near your camera) and closest to the centre of your screen.
  2. On the weekend on my server there's around 170 odd people in the fleet.... yet, you still cant find a group for anything. I see people on their speeder bikes doing laps of the fleet, or spinning round in circles for no apparent reason other than extremely mild entertainment. The most fun i've had in recent days is standing over the barrier in the fleet, inviting random people and gripping them to their deaths. It's a shame really, I want to play this game.... But who wants to do a heroic instance when there is absolutely no incentive. Do two EV's and you're almost (if not) in full Coumni / half Rakata. Gone are the days of weeks worth of raiding just to get a piece of gear or two (and we all know these were the good times, vanilla MC etc, when seeing someone in full BLUES was impressive)... But that's because of the player base. Everyone wants everything to be given to them with minimal effort, and get annoyed when things take "too long". Well this is the result. A game where everyone has everything, and no one wants to play any more.
  3. Haha win! I'll transfer... mainly because i'm **** bored on Swiftsure... no one seems to be doing any hard modes on republic, at least not pugs anyways.
  4. Just participated. I'm interested to see these results. My system is overkill for SWTOR (at least, it should be) and I believe my FPS are horrible at times. Sure, open world questing etc is fine, but when you have a brand new GTX590, i7 3.2 oc'd, and 24 gb of ram you would expect to be getting more than 1-5 fps in Ilum.
  5. That would be fun In wow our guild used to solo queue for 3v3 arena practice matches all at the same time, and you'd all get put into random teams and fight each other. Was a lot of fun!
  6. I also played Rift and noticed this. Probably won't be quite as bad here once cross faction PvP is introduced (which was confirmed in the Q&A thread) as you can fight your own faction, and it also depends on how many other servers they group yours with. And you are right, people do just want to stomp pugs all day because after all, smashing people into the dirt IS fun. The Q&A thread also mentioned a new matchmaking system, so premades may only fight equally geared pugs, whilst the undergeared / new 50's fight similarly geared players. This is all coming in patch 1.2 (whenever that is)
  7. The difference is, you've actually worked your way there rather than standing in a massive group buffing people, AOE spamming or getting valor from a lvl 50 champion cannon that one shots people unlucky enough to get gripped in You would have a far better understanding of pvp than these other fools. /salute you.
  8. I like to fight to the end too, but aparrently most dont. Premade seems to be the only way to go just about, but even then you dont get a good fight. The other team just leaves.
  9. 1. Join warzone. 2. Both teams are full of battlemaster plebs that have farmed Ilum for their battlemaster status, which required no skill to get. 3. Scenario A: Your team scores the first point in huttball, gets 2 bases in Alderaan, or arms the first door in Voidstar. Enemy team leaves to go cry in the corner, You win. Secnario B: Enemy team scores the first point in huttball, gets 2 bases in Alderaan, or arms the first door in Voidstar. Your team leaves to go cry in the corner, You lose. 4. See item 1.
  10. I did read it yes. I also posted a question which went unanswered (unsurprisingly). It was just a suggestion, you don't have to :/ I'm sure it will be changed eventually.
  11. Well, not yet anyways. You should put the question to them in the next Q&A thread.
  12. They could just make the damage instant, and keep the animation. May feel a little strange at first, but you'd get used to it.
  13. In my eyes, Bioware has done extremely well. There are constant changes and hotfixes. New changes are announced virtually the day after a patch goes live, which is addressing more and more issues. They are clearly listening to peoples requests, toying with balance and improving the game. A lot of the things people are crying about are just luxury addtions (for example, LFG tool) which will come eventually, but not until the game is ready for it. At this rate, give it 6 months and we will have a very polished MMO.
