  1. Asides from the new cooldown clock thing, which is absolutely HORRENDOUS and an issue on its own. Why on earth is there no cooldown timer for skills that work on the newly implemented charge(s) system?` Even a skill like Debilitate for operatives, which doesn't gain an additional charge unless you use the 6 set bonus of the debilitator set, loses its cooldown timer/tracker completely and appears to always be off cd when quickly glancing over it. This is a huge oversight, why is this the way it is?
  2. Or maybe they can fix the game. Clicking accept queue isn't enough? How can I be inactive if I'm literally clicking a button (two even)

So I decide to queue up for master flashpoints as dps (75) obviously takes a while, so I'm sitting here for a good 15 minutes or so behind my PC watching youtube while staring at a screen waiting for queue. Finally the queue pops and I press accept with about 1:47 remaining, wait a few seconds for everyone to accept and then the next menu with "travel now" etc appears. I mouse back to SWTOR to press travel now as like I said before I was doing nothing so might aswell instant travel, and the moment I hit the button I see the (fake) loading screen appear indicating my character is being forced to log out due to inactivity. Logging back into the game obviously I'm no longer part of the group, but not just that I'm also unable to requeue for any pve activity(no debuff or any indicator saying I'm queue barred for x amount of time, just unable to queue again). Fix your game please.
  4. At level 1 you get 2 buttons: Take Cover (rolls into highlighted spot) and Crouch (covers where you're currently standing.
  5. Yeah there's a whole open world pvp world, it's called Ilum and it's pretty damn coo.... Wait nvm, it's gone...
  6. Not sure how many times this needs to be said... The active pvp population is so low that they can't divide it up further by offering choice, this is why we can't pick warzones, this is why warzones and arenas are bunched up, you'll get 30-60 minute, or even longer, queue times if you do something like that.

    While we're at it, I think it's also OP that marauders have dual lightsaber hacks, i mean it's absolutely ridiculous, remove their ability to dual wield (and don't change the DW req on attack skills) so they essentially can't even attack. Back to being serious, this is the dumbest post I've seen on forums in maybe the entirity of the game. How, in a meta that has plenty of things to complain about, is something insignificant like this the one that strikes your nerve? It's fine as it is, get a grip on the actual game/meta and think before you post rubbish.
  8. I thought what you meant was seperating warzones from arena, which I am very much in favor for. I enjoy arena but sometimes I just want to play warzones, especially for F2P players this is horrible, 10 warzones per week and you're getting queued into 1 minute long arenas for a grand total of 10 minutes of pvp gameplay a week? ....
  9. I recently posed this on my own guild forums, so I'd thought I'd share this with you and the rest of the community too. On 5-7 minute dummy fight in my current gear (still with some pvp stuff, 400 expertise) With only my Biochem stim and adrenal, and only consular buff. I'm doing 1191 dps on Boss dummy as Balance, or 1179 dps as Infiltration. Add all different buffs + the armor debuff on bosses and I'd end up on +- Balance: 1300 Infiltration: 1400 Infiltration benefits more from armor penetration then Balance because it uses more kinetic & weapon damage, whereass Balance is around 50-50 Kinetic & Internal. Infiltration gives you: -more dps overal -and most importantly good burst dps for fights like Battle tanks, Warlord Zeph. -30% more armor then Balance -30% AoE damage reduction. Balance however gives: - 4% increased melee & ranged defense. - 2% self healing per DoT effect critting (with 40% crit avg) and 3 DoT's with 100, 100 and 60% uptime. - 15% less damage taken from periodic effects. - Great multidotting and AoE. Just my thoughts & results for Shadow dps, feel free to comment or correct me. FYI - Balance pulls ahead of Infiltration in DPS at or below Columi gear level.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to call major BS on this. with only consular buff&Rakata Stim, and rakata/columi/battlemaster/Black hole gear I pull 1191 dps as Balance and 1179 dps as Infiltration shadow consular. This is on logs taken from 6-7 minute fights. EDIT: heres 1min49 as infiltration: hits169 total139573 dps1272.12 crit44.97%
  11. What's your gear like? what level dummies did you use? did you multi dot? What was the duration of your log? Because 2.2k dps, is a *@#%! lie unless you measure it over less then a minute or something.
  12. I lol'd at this. I really did. I'm playing assasin though only at 50 valor, 361 expertise. And no1 can beat me in a 1v1, maybe the occasional OP/Scoundrel with stun 3k 3k 3k 3k 3k. But thats it, if I play it smart I outplay everyone I see in warzones and Ilum. I'm also on Starstorm one, republic side. Like another poster > Ihadurca. I'm using 26 keybindings btw, and im still short of them for some moves. So if you dont have << that problem you're probably doing it wrong. Assasins aren't rogues. Learn to play the class, the burst damage you get is *********** insane. Example: 1v1 versus someone with equal expertise: opener with stealth stun, Force Potency, PvP 360 power trinket, CV strike (1500-2k) CV strike again, Project (3k+1k), Force Breach(2.5-3k), Backstab (2-2.5k), Execute (4.2k+) No burst? I kill every target I focus on in 1v1 with cooldowns, and It's mostly a 2-4k dmg overkill too.
  13. Well as a tank you start tanking on level 10(though the tanking stances are obtained on level 14 iirc) since thats where you pick your adv class. You don't need to be level 50 to find out that that thing you equipped in your off-hand that should proc a shield with a 20% probability never happens.
  14. True, I don't have statistics and I don't think anyone outside of Bioware/EA has them. However I'd say it's 99% likely there were many players pvping in the beta on both dps and tank characters, surely one of the hundreds of thousands of beta testers would have thought it to be a bit fishy that there is barely any difference in survivability between dps/tank spec or class other then defensive cooldowns?
  15. The SW:TOR Beta started 23/06/2010, that's one and a half years ago. In that period this issue wasn't resolved, why would it be any time soon? You can't really say 'the game just came out so it doesn't matter' when its been up and running for 1,5 years.
  16. Don't know what game you're playing mate. But pvp tank gear has less endurance then pve tank gear (iirc) asides from that, he's saying tank stats don't work against the vast majority of abilities in this game which means that he's just another dps with more health. Most classes have abilities that dont get mitigated by anything that crit for 3-4k, and in a 4 second stun one could easily land 2-3 abilities hitting for that amount which means 9-12k dmg. Maybe you should read better before posting junk like this.

Because when a good pvp player sees a fully tank geared/specced played and a healer standing together, they will pop their cd's and focus the tank like no tomorrow, instead of 3-4 shotting/interupting/stunning the healer, right? Your whole post is invalid because either you are too stupid to realise this, or the people you were playing against where a bunch of people that don't get how pvp works AT ALL. ^ or both.
  18. May I also just say that some classes in this game can be played to be very effective with the use of only +-6 buttons to press? Whereass my Shadow Consular uses the following keybindings: Q, E, R, T, F, G, V Razer Naga Epic: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12, and the 2 buttons below the scroll. Logitech Gwhatever G1,2,3,4,5. Thats 26 buttons to play this class properly. We do have a lot of utility, we do have a great burst if played properly and animations actually get to finish, we do have good sustained dps aswell. But at what cost? Only a fraction of the shadow/assassin players will actually utilize every single ability.

If you crit 5k maul, you are probably in the max expertise gear (full battlemaster) with all possible buffs and potions, and activating the surge relic + fighting a naked opponent, and then EVEN THEN you wont crit 5k with maul. Asides from that, 50+50+50 = 150, we got a 110 energy bar if you spec Vigor. Heck even if you used improved blackout and the maul proc that reduces its cost then it would be 25+50+50 which is still more then 110. Oh, and for maul to even be worth the energy spent on it you need to have the proc up that reduces the cost by 50% and increases the armor pen by 50%. This proc occurs no more then once every 10 sec. So you fought a fully best in slot geared shadow, with all potions and buffs possible, with a surge relic that has a 30 second duration instead of 20, for 30 seconds, and he hit you with a 5k maul three times in that time? You sir, should write SW:TOR pvp guides.
