Do them all the time with the guild, at least 3 times a week in HM and we just started OPS and cleared EV.

Learn to love taunt, I was having the same issues till I read that taunt pulls you in line in threat with the top Agro, since they must exceed your agro by a certain amount to take it if you use taunt properly this almost never happens, after the fight is in full swing I rarely lose agro now. I do occasionally in the start of a fight lose it to crits from dpser's but I just taunt him back on. Also make sure you keep guardian swing and hilt strike on CD, we just finished EV this week and I had little to no problems with threat. All that being said, I should think you should not need to use taunt like this. The JK dmg is a bit low and that or threat needs to be adjusted up.
