  1. As I remember....I believe I bought mine with commendations on either Taris or Courasant. I can't say for sure........
  2. I just finished a scoundrel sawbones and I'm leveling a gunslinger now. The gunslinger is much more fun. I miss the scoundrel's steath ability but didn't care for the scattergun because it cannot be fired from cover. You can fight a gunslinger in melee and a scoundrel at range if you want. The skill trees are just not set up that way. One thing to keep in mind from my humble perspective. Some of the leets will probably scoff at this. There is a very, very tough mission called the "Lightspring" that quite a alot of people have had trouble with. Some people have quit over it. It took my scoundrel about 10 trys to finish it and even though the hard part of the mission will require melee fighting, I'm quite confident I can get through it much easier with a gunslinger.
  3. Just finished a scoundrel sawbones and I'm now leveling a gunslinger. I don't do pvp so I can't intelligently talk about that. Gunslingers are more set up for ranged combat than the scoundrel is. I'm doing saboteur becasue I enjoy the aoe damage it provides. DPS is great. I do miss the scoundrel's stealth capability but didn't like the scattergun. I suggest doing Biochem, Bioanalysis and Diplomacy. With these you can build medpacks, adrenals, implants & stims. As far as i can tell there is no medical skills with the gunslinger and I hate buying stims. The med stuff is also easy to sell on the market. I'll be at the Lightspring soon and I'm looking forward to see if my gunslinger can get through it the first time without dying.
  4. Dizzy is right on comparing Saboteur & Sharpshooter. Imo......gunslingers are more set up for ranged combat and scoundrels for melee. Very simplistic observation but in general it applies.
  5. The Treasure Hunting crew skill allows you to find them......alot of them, although I don't recommend TH for smugglers. Arguably the best skills for Smuggler are Biochem, Bioanalysis and Diplomacy.
  6. You did the Lightspring without a med pak?????
  7. I prefer the Gunslinger for two reasons: 1) DPS is much higher than Scoundrel - I do miss the Scoundrel's stealth ability though. 2) It is very difficult to get a Scoundrel through the "Lightspring" mission as it is configured now. In my opinion.........Gunslinger is better for ranged Combat and Scoundrel is more set up for melee combat.
  8. My Gunslinger is: Zacariah Whytehawk My Scoundrel is: Baxter Ravenwhyte
  9. I prefer the command stims which really helps Corso (or whomever) by increasing your presence. You won't lose it's effects if Corso dies either and he dies alot more than I do.
