  1. Unable to use new companions for harvesting crew skills. Specifically noticed with Scavenging and either Nico or Scorpio
  2. The legacy system has been overlooked or neglected for far too long. It's so bad the level cap on legacy is far lower than the level cap for the game. And there is no reason for a level cap on legacy to start with!! Step One: Remove the level cap or increase it to an insanely high number (say 1000). Step Two: Add title rewards for legacy level up to the new cap or at least up to 1000 (if unlmited cap) Step Three: Look over the other suggestions and pick features that wouldn't hurt game balance but would enhance game play and make them legacy unlocks. Step Four: Add new unlocks that have little or no effect on game balance but make legacy the feature it should be. Examples: Speeder Overload (boosts all speeder speeds by 10%. Mass Gift Giver: Allows players to give companions stack of 99 gifts at a time. AFK Flag: Allow players to flag their toon as afk. Unlock a emote toolbar: Allowing players to add a tool bar and drag custom emotes to it. Unlock a Toys Toolbar: As above. Unlock a pet toolbar/ vehicle toolbar/ etc.. You get the idea. Unlock Legacy banks on personal starships. (and cartel coin version) Unlock the various mission terminals and daily mission teleporter (unlock for personal starships. Cartel versions for starships, and both personal and guild strongholds or capital ships. Increased bank tabs (both cargo and legacy cargo) that can be unlocked via legacy but still have to be purchased. I am sure other people can think of things to add as well. But the best thing about doing this is not only do you reward long term subscribers it's something that can be done in small pieces every time you do a expansion that gives long term players an extra smile from each update and expansion!! Just having new titles for having reached various legacy milestones would be a good morale booster.
  3. I am not a fan of PVP. But I am not going to back the PVE players that are complaining about this. There has almost ALWAYS been items from the PVP vendors that are as good as or better than same lvl PVE gear. PVP is the fastest way to get a level accurate hilt or barrel at end game. Often times the pvp relics are an improvement over their PVE counterparts. You do not HAVE to get that companion. There is nothing that says you have to acquire every companion out there (even if it was one you had before). So, if it's almost always been useful to do some pvp and you still do not "have" to do pvp now. Then the complaint is really "i want XXX but I do not want to do PVP to get it." That doesn't wash with me. If you want a college degree you dang well better pass your courses. If you want that specific companion then I guess you are going to have to do some pvp. Now, having said that. Why punish yourself doing it all at once. If you don't like pvp content. Pick up the daily and weekly pvp quests and just the daily quest. It might take a week or more to get the companion that way but it will be less brutal, you might even get lucky and win a few matches AND you will have pvp comms left over to buy yourself a reward for all that effort. That's called making omelets out of broken eggs. Try it sometime.
  4. It's going that way, it wasn't before. The only reason the older content isn't updated (or has not been updated) is expense of redoing all the related material.
  5. I started out on the side of level sync sucks. But now I have gotten 3 toons through the expansion. Leveling is actually easier now. Companions are much stronger than before between the patch, presence and affection rating. All the Heroics are H2 meaning they are all solo content even with level sync. The content is actually being used in the expansion making it still "work" which is actually a positive thing post expansion. Especially since not everyone did all that content first time around. In fact the only real negative I see is newer players not having those advantages not having all the bennies of being over level on a planet if they worked towards that goal. And that's not even a major downfall. Now you get xp even if you out level that planet but want to explore the rest of it's quest options. Before you didn't. The slight con of "my level cap toon now has to *work* to get around the baby level planets" just doesn't cut it with me. So despite the negative many are placing on this I have come around to seeing it as more good than bad. In fact nearly every aspect of this expansion I did not like to start with I have either changed my mind or am less inclined to complain about after experiencing it for a week.
  6. I like it more and I don't really have fun on either a bomber or a gunship though I can play both well. I love hunting both down on my strike fighters. EMP Missles DO WORK, just not as well as I would like. EMP from the scouts is also very effective. The key is, it's now more about teamwork. Being in a group, working as a group, I find bombers no bigger a problem then any other single ship. I would agree there needs to be some tweaks to bombers and other ships, but in general I don't see a reason to complain.
  7. First I'd like to thank Odacervicix for a well made post. His list really does include most of the best players on JC regardless of which side they fly on. I fly on JC on both imp and pub side, and am one of the few people that has gotten a recommendation for a character on both sides. But the truth is I am only alittle better then "average". Usually I am far better at playing some sort of strike fighter and just being incredibly hard to kill instead of being a "killer" myself. Regardless it is a fact that playing on the Imp side of JC is far harder then on the Pub side. There are fewer premade groups, fewer people in voice working as a team, and fewer "mature" players as in players that have had time since December to skill up their ships. I can't say much about the grunty/udezak debate, mostly cause I don't know grunty well other then his consistant flying of the same flashfire spec. I can say, with personal knowledge, that Udezak has flown on the imp side, in a teir 0 strike fighter, against teams of semi to fully geared pub players, and gotten over 15 kills. That is a ACE Pilot to me. I am also going to put alittle shameless plug here. The Pub Guild "Alpha Strike Force" has the largest single concentration of recommended ACE Pilots in this post. Congrats to my guildmates for well earned recognition in your skills at GSF!
  8. I would add that at least on Jedi Covenent there doesn't appear to be many prebuilds with voice so you end up with alot of disorganized play. But if someone is working on a guild/group with voice for that server please add darkspice to your friends list cause I am deffinately looking for a good team to play with there.
  9. I'm also a mostly PVE player that for the first time has found PVP that's been enjoyable in a MMO. The biggest problem I have with BOTH pve and pvp is server related. On the slower servers it's hard to find a PVE group todo hard modes with. let alone ops or pvp warzones. On the server i'm on it's nearly impossible todo any HM FPs the numbers of players is just too small. I am seriously hoping they will allow server moves or merges soon because if they don't i'll quit the game just from lack of anything todo.
  10. I have a level 50 sent and a level 50 smuggler amoung a ton of other pre-50 alts. The Jedi Knight and Sith warrior/juggernaut ARE playable but could use some tweaking for game balance in PVE. Being a melee class they need a tiny bit of tweaking on damage mitigation. I'm talking somewhere between a 2% and 5% increase in their current mitigation at most. It would be very easy to overdue this however so I'm happy if they take their time and get it right. Second the tank versions of both need alittle adjustment to how they hold AOE agro OR need to be specified as being a better single target tank and get a second single target taunt. Again the adjustments would be very minor, but compared to the other tanks they are both abit squishy AND have alittle trouble holding agro even when played by the best players. Note though: Neither class is actually "broken" and both are completely playable. The above would just make them more inbalance with the rest of the classes and more welcome in groups.
