  1. I think there is a major assumption : Tanks / Healers are OP by themselves. The reason why Dps classes are not topping warzones is that many of them do not work as a team. They are so focused on doing damage, they are often not in range for healing or to benefit from tank taunts. The reason why tanks and healers top the charts are because they are more likely to be team players . Next time you are in a warzone look to see who isnt fighting on caps but rather chasing down strays to satisfy their own egos. It is often the dps that fail to work as a team. To them, the warzone is all about how much damage THEY can do. The post by the OP proves their mindset. Think about it.
  2. I agree wholeheartedly. Can we please get some answers? This is starting to get gutless.
  3. Please acknowledge these issues, Bioware. It would go a long way to tell us they are being worked on so we don't think you are ignoring us. Thanks
  4. Georg, This is very good news. I am happy with the change so far and I am happy with the acknowledgement of the 'more to come' in terms of changes. A couple of points I was wondering if you could touch base on / acknowledge that it is being worked on. 1. Will upcoming patches have be as buggy as previous ones? Please do not release a patch that is not ready like 1.1 (regarding illum and other loading screen errors) 2. My guard ability for my vanguard is buggy. First, sometimes when myself or my guarded target dies (player) and is revived or I die and am revived, it does not allow me to re-guard my target. It says they are already guarded. Moreover, I am not sure guard is working properly. When I guard my companion and they are being attacked, I do not take any damage for some reason. Also sometimes when I guard another player, 50% of their damage taken is not inflicted on me (the vanguard). Is this being worked on or acknowledged as a problem? 3. As a vanguard / tank, when my shield procs, it does not always absorb damage or does not feel like it procs as much as it is supposed to ( I have 48% shielding). I notice it does not protect against tech or force based attacks, is this intended? 4. Finally, I know your post addressed "animation" conflicts with combat, I wanted to ask if it has been acknowledged by your combat team that attacks and abilities not completeing or going through if our characters are dodging attacks. For example, when I am channeling full auto and I dodge or some animation like dodge happens I do not do the full three 'tics' of damage. I know these are difficult questions to answer as they are quite loaded, but I and I am pretty sure others would appreciate an acknowledgement of these problems Thank you for your consideration and I hope you see this message,
  5. I support that completely. It is up to vigilant players to snub greedy needers for their companions when they see them so that they will not popup everywhere!
  6. I agree i touch on this issue on my poll please voice your concerns http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=139839
  7. Someone should really resign or be fired over this careless overlook!
  8. Vote in this poll to settle it once and for all. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=139839 http://poll.pollcode.com/0oMb_result?v
  9. I agree, but maybe the poll will get it through the thick heads of those who want to need for companions that other players do not like them and will not group with them if we can show them how few people agree with them.
  10. Fix this immediately BW. Forget about debating if or if not those who abused it, they should be banned or forced to pay retribution, give them negative credits or a debt to pay!. Another interesting idea: FIRE/DISMISS the person who overlooked this exploit, why is something so important like this overlooked before the game was released.
  11. Support the community and please put an end to the pointless bickering by voting.
  12. Hey SWTOR players, Link to the poll http://poll.pollcode.com/0oMb I have been reading a lot about the debate regarding rolling need in flashpoints to gear up companions. To answer the question on if it is a acceptable practice or not we really need to see how the community feels about it. There has been a few arguments for and against the practice of rolling need for companions, but it is clear that both sides (for and against) believe that they are speaking on behalf of the community. A good way to settle this once and for all would be to conduct a poll. This will produce two possibilities. A) People who need for their companions and argue that there are no consequences that errode their reputation on the server will finally see how others feel about their actions. If true followers of this practice likely will understand that their practice is frowned upon and will adversely effect how others view them. B) People who argue that players should not roll need for companions when other player characters in the flashpoint could use the upgrade may see that the community believes that the practice for rolling only for items that the player character needs is outdated. If the commuinity show through the poll that they are open to rolling need then it evident that the practice of only rolling need for gear going to player characters are as old and outdated as dinosaurs. For those of you that are not familiar with this debate here is the overview. Argument against rolling need for companions when other players in the party need it -Argues that it is extremely greedy that some players roll need for their companions when others in the party that contributed to obtaining the loot need it for their character. -Argues that companions do not contribute to obtaining the loot in a flashpoint most of the time and thus do not take precedence regarding needing loot over other players -Argues that rolling need for companions deteriorates the community and will result in a collapse in the loot system if everyone rolls need for their companions because each player has five companions. Invariably a player could 'need' any drop because atleast one of their companions could use it. Also problematic because this would make loot harder to obtain for an average player Arguement in favour of rolling need for companions -Argues that companions are extensions of character and thus should be eligible to roll for their loot. -Argues that each member in a group contributes equally and each member regardless of if they have a utility for the item has a "right" to roll on whatever they please. -Argues that the practice of only rolling need for gear for a player character is old and outdated and not applicable to SWTOR. -Argues that other players in the community really do not care if they roll need for items on the companions and it has no bearing on how others percieve them. -Argues that they have special circumstances because they are unable to solo-quest without their companion being geared. This game is a community game, I am tired of people talking about the feelings and positions of the community on behalf of each other. I am personally against rolling need for companions when others could use it, but I think it is important to see how the community actually feels about it. Hopefully (and I suspect) these results from the poll will deter and discourage people from rolling need for their companions when it could go to a player that actually needs it. I say this because if they know it is not acceptable in the eyes of the community they will stop doing it or else they may have a hard time finding a group when they are /ignored. Please vote and help the community come to a consensus to stop this silly debate. http://poll.pollcode.com/0oMb
  13. This is plain old sloppy and unacceptable. I think service providers (in this case BW/EA) have some obligation to the satisfaction of their customers albeit they should not be indentured labourers to accomplish the task. However, the level of service I am reading about is disturbing to say the least. We are paying customers. A few tickets I had opened ingame had cut and paste replies that were not even relevant to my ticket. Please if any representatives are reading, respectfully, pass this along.
  14. I want the Voidstar warzone to be more dynamic with different objectives! How about one where the attacking team's objective is to disable 1 of 2 critical objectives to win. The first would be a device in the ship's engineering department that would cause the enemy/ defending team to be vented into space! The second would be the disabling of the lightspeed drives or something. Of course the defending team defends. I also think it would be cool to have some fixed defensive emplacements in some warzones like the turrets in coilicoid wargames!
