  1. It would be very helpful if within the UI there could be an option to distinguish our own buffs (on ourselves and allies) and debuffs (on enemies) from the buffs and debuffs of other players. One idea is to make the icons showing on the enemy or friendly player larger for ourselves than for other players. An example of where this is beneficial would be when playing Operative Medic in a raid. If there is more than one Op Medic it can be tough to tell if that's your own stack of Kolto Probes or the other Op. You don't really want to spend the energy casting another just to tell, but you also don't want to risk letting the stack fall. A Sorcerer can also benefit from telling whose debuff is whose and in turn avoid letting Affliction fall off enemies.
  2. I agree with removing the auto /stuck. I've had so many times where it tries to unstuck me in the middle of getting stuck taking place and does nothing as a result yet activates the timer. I then wait the three minutes and /stuck and I get out just fine. If it wouldn't automatically initiate the command I would just /stuck and be out of it with seconds.
  3. I propose that, at a minimum, all of the armors we can craft be learnable as custom gear. The developers put a lot of time into making various models and skins for all those greens we can craft, and those can be turned into blue or purple quality, but it stops there and of course the item is never useful outside that level range. I would suggest making the progression more like: Quality: Green -> Blue -> Purple -> Custom This would open up a lot more customization using models and skins already designed and in the game. Obviously it would take a lot of materials and time and some luck to get the Custom recipes given that the purple materials aren't abundant, but that would make the resulting custom armors more appealing due to what I assume would be their relative rarity. Beyond this I'd suggest making any green armors that drop reverse engineer-able with a chance at learning recipes, that way random green drops while we're leveling on planets or from within Flashpoints (or even those PvP boxes) could potentially be turned into custom gear.
  4. It would certainly be nice if weapons could be previewed with Ctrl+click in the way armor is. Lightsaber hilts aren't too varied but vibroswords have some interesting looks, and more importantly classes that sport guns have a vast array of weapon styles to choose from (blaster rifles take the medal in that category). It would be nice to see all of this before the weapon is crafted or rolled on or purchased. Thanks!
  5. I recall reading something about a character transfer to PTS process. They said they couldn't guarantee that 100% of characters will successfully transfer, however the original character is of course unharmed so if the process doesn't work then a let down is the really the only downside.
  6. True that, although I don't think mine is a beast by any means. I upgrade a piece here and there as time goes on, never an entire PC at once. I believe I got the vid card under a year ago and the model itself is nearing two years old. The CPU is also installed within the past year while the model itself is over two years old. However it is beneficial to turn some graphics down during raids, although I don't often raid so I don't find myself doing this much.
  7. Coming from years of WoW I was so accustomed to addons, it was tough to imagine living without them when anticipating SWtoR. But then it didn't take much time at all to get used to not having any and now I haven't really thought about them much since.
  8. Hmm, I run everything at the highest setting save for AA, and have 30+ fps at all times but within a Fleet of 200 players. WZs are 30+, FPs 60+, high population Fleet 20+. What's the problem? AMD Phenom II X6, 8GB RAM, nvidia 460gtx.
  9. I had fleeting thoughts of checking this, my better instincts obviously didn't prevail since I didn't check it already. The patch notes seemed so clear about the path that I didn't think it plausible they'd be elsewhere lol. Thank you for the info, found it right there
  10. Having trouble getting it in 1.2 - the ladder's rungs seem to do nothing for stepping up anymore. I got this without the MGGS and without a second thought on my prior character pre-1.2, but it doesn't seem doable now. It wasn't for lack of effort.
  11. So I'm probably overlooking something super easy but I could use some help with the combat log. I'm computer savvy so it makes this kinda embarrassing if I am overlooking something simple, but I don't see anyone else asking so I'm guessing that's the case... Anyway... where are the log files? I enabled the option to save combat logs to the drive and from what I understand they should appear in the /Star Wars - The Old Republic/Combat Logs/ folder. I have no such folder. Any other places it would show up if not within the folder specified in the patch notes? Thanks!
  12. You can acquire level 31 green-black crystals on Tatooine from the new Rakghoul event vendor. He's a Jawa in northeastern Dune Sea and the cost is 75 Rakghoul DNA Samples.
  13. Ahh, I see. That totally explains why Assassinate so often does much higher damage than the scoreboard shows (I can only use it on people close to death anyway!). Thanks for the info
  14. I've been leveling my Assassin as of late and unlike my prior characters I'm doing nearly exclusively WZs for my XP. I'm not sure how much of an XP boost they are implementing in 1.2, but the current XP is a tad grueling. Anyone who isn't grinding WZs repeatedly wouldn't find the XP much to write home about. Perhaps casually PvPing while doing planet missions results in not enough Warzone commendations, because the concerns of the current prices already being too high certainly isn't the case for someone leveling off Warzones like I have been. I've had 1000 Merc commendations since the 20s range. I buy medpacs and adrenals nearly every other match - usually by the dozen or higher just to get rid of comms. I had all the level 20 PvP gear lined up well in advance and I've had the level 40 PvP gear burning holes in my bags for the last several levels (and even then I only bought it so soon because I lazily wanted to dump lots of commendations with one click). I have no idea if the XP boost combined with a WZ commendation reward nerf will result in leveling that far outpaces the WZ accumulation rate, but I do know that at present the exact opposite is happening. It's certainly not hard to get commendations while leveling right now.
  15. I'm curious to know why this stat seems to only include force or tech (yellow) attacks? On my prior two classes, an Operative medic and a Powertech tank, this wasn't noticeable as my tech attacks were definitely the largest. On my assassin I notice it, however. I landed an Assassinate for 4007 but the ending stat showed my highest hit was around 3600. Another time I dropped a Maul for 3704 but the highest hit in the end shows around 3200.
